They've done it with careful planning and it's been extremely emotional. The acting has been phenomenal from all involved and they should be proud of what the episode achieves.

Yeah I think that was the point. They wanted to mislead us and "shock" us. It worked really well IMO, seeing Stan go from bad to good, and Babe from good to bad.
