Victor played it way better. He avoided being up every week and got fewer nominations and he probably would've finished second if he didn't yell at our Shell

Which alone is the prime example of why he didn't play better. Dexter never had an outburst that got him evicted and if the aim of the game is to win, Dexter got closest and therefore clearly played better.

Also, since this is BBUK and it's the public opinion that matters, playing well isn't necessarily related to how much you're nominated. Someone who's nominated loads and survives has played better than someone who's barely nominated but ends up evicted when they are imo.

It was the first rivalry final 2 and it did it better than Ashleigh vs. Helen as not only was it the right result but also because Lip Gloss Bitches vs. Jungle Cats is one of the best house divides if not THE best divide in BBUK. You had Nadia who was a Lip Gloss Bitch and you had Jungle Cat Jason and they both detested eachother. And the thing is with BB5 is that every single housemate contributes to the series instead of it focusing on just two housemates.

The only twist I can think of that might have saved Dexter was him being swapped with Sophie and that was right near the end. Other than that there was only really the Safe House, but had that been a normal eviction I have no doubt Wolfie would have gone anyway.

As for others ending up more disliked, that all adds to my point. If you're up for eviction repeatedly and someone else always ends up accumulating more votes, you're doing something right simply by not making yourself the most hated (especially if you're still managing to be the most hated inside the house).

And the VTS comparison isn't really relevant to the Dexter / Victor debate because they both had VTE and Dexter did better with that format they both had, which is the point I'm making. :laugh:

Oh I know she was, and there are quite a few examples of housemates going on major turnarounds, but I don't think Hazel was really one of them

I admit I'd forgotten the Charlie thing, I guess that was a mutual storyline, but I still think Gina made her relevant in the other one. Look, I don't think Hazel was a bore by any means, I just really don't think she contributed more than Dexter did. He had the Dexter and Charlie, Dexter and Callum, Dexter and Gina, Dexter and Sam, Dexter and Sallie storylines either all through the series or at some point or another, he wasn't ever doing nothing from start to finish. Hazel on the other hand was

Him vs Sallie in the first week

The development of him and Charlie's, and subsequently Callum's love-triangle storyline which provided some hilariously messy moments and DR's

Him vs Callum

The minor storylines with him vs Sam, him vs the twins, him vs Dan and him vs Jackie

The fact he was house enemy number one the entire series

The construction of his 'persona' that several housemates fell for and so did sections of the public

Dexter was not dull :joker: he and Gina were receiving the most airtime and that usually ****s you over in a VTE, their continuing survival was an anomaly and really quite something to behold tbh

The only twist I can think of that might have saved Dexter was him being swapped with Sophie and that was right near the end. Other than that there was only really the Safe House, but had that been a normal eviction I have no doubt Wolfie would have gone anyway.

As for others ending up more disliked, that all adds to my point. If you're up for eviction repeatedly and someone else always ends up accumulating more votes, you're doing something right simply by not making yourself the most hated (especially if you're still managing to be the most hated inside the house).

And the VTS comparison isn't really relevant to the Dexter / Victor debate because they both had VTE and Dexter did better with that format they both had, which is the point I'm making. :laugh:

I wish I was as resistant/patient as you not to look at House Pictures, but you can guarantee I'll spoil that and the Twist for myself. :laugh:

I do still hope Emma does a proper tour this year though, would make sense with the house extension and especially if there is two houses. Pictures won't do it justice or show enough.
