Serves Bogle right ( own goal) for smashing into the back of Odegard a few minutes earlier … Karma !!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Arsenal 3:0 away from home … just wish they’d buy a goal scoring centre forward
LOL
interesting as this title maybe won on goal difference !!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
It's Sheffield Utd :joker: Brighton have scored 10 against them in the last month, even Burnley hit 5 past them.
Another horrendous tackle from Bogle on Odegard !!
That’s a red card offence. .. gets a yellow

Saka taken off for his protection … hopefully Odegard is taken off soon

What a goal from Benny Blanco. Scandalous that he cant even get in the England squad never mind the team.
Jorginho....wow!!!!. Put some legs around him and we are seeing some player.
I was nervous about this game. It was a potential banana skin

Injury to Martinelli doesn't look good. Going down the tunnel he couldn't put any kind of pressure on his left leg. I hope he's OK
Ben White should be starting for England !!
If only due to his adaptability ..
Full back / centre back .. in a back 3 , 4 or 5

Random fact ..
ManCity are yet to beat anyone in the top 5 this season … thus far !!

Oh and going back to my suggestion that ManC haven’t been too impressive of late ( Luton aside) .. ..
Arsenal’s last three away results are 5:0 , 5:0 and 6:0 .
Now that’s my idea of impressive ..

Nice to see so many players with sweet left foots dominating currently
Odegard and Saka , Palmer at Chelsea , Foden and Bernado Silva , Salah and Elliot , West Ham’s key player Lucas Paquetá
I’m sure I’ve missed a few

Aston Villa have reported a loss of £119.6m in their latest accounts up to 31 May 2023.
The accounts cover a period that saw Villa finish seventh in the Premier League to qualify for Europe.
Villa say the figures are "in line with the strategic business plan" and within the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.
PSR rules, introduced in 2015-16, permit losses of up to £105m in a three-year spell.

They are going to have to do a bit of selling in the next couple of years

Yeah, i only have real hate for Spurs. So not bothered who wins the title out of Arsenal, Liverpool and City. It really is set up for an exciting finish!

Are they bottlers though. That's the narrative that everyone wants to follow but getting beaten by a team that went on to win the treble is hardy bottling. I would agree that when Arsenal knew they couldn't win the league the performances dropped off considerably but losing to Man City is no disgrace
I think Arsenal are stronger this year. The only time I would say Arsenal have underperformed in the league were against Newcastle and Fulham. Arsenal should have beaten West Ham in December and had much the better chances. Arsenal kept Liverpool to .,98XG at Anfield and no scouse fan is gonna tell me they were the better team on the day and we beat them 3-1 at the Emirates and again no scouse fan is even gonna attempt to tell me they were in that game. We had to score their goal for them they toothless upfront. We've beaten Man City and Man Utd too.
I see a team that may be hardened from the experience of last year. I hope but there is a lot of football to play
Well tbf, Arsenal fit the bottlers term more than Spurs imo.
Tottenham were never really leading the title race in the 2015/16 season, where as Arsenal had an 8 point gap on Man City last season, and bottled it against Southampton, Man City, Liverpool, and West Ham.
Tbf I can understand them not beating Liverpool and Man City in those matches, but Southampton and West Ham should've been absolute victories for Arsenal.
And look I don't say that to rub it in, I really wanted Arsenal to stop Man City last season, and I would be happy for Arsenal if they were to win the League this season.
However I will definitely agree with the side that says that Arsenal bottled it last season.

I really struggle with the concept of corrupt referees and officials in this country
I think that they are simply inept and incompetent
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Referees are corrupt in every Country.
It's just like how we're meant to believe that the officials didn't spot Maradona's "Hand Of God" when even Stevie Wonder could see it.

I mean, only better (arguably) English player than Foden in the world atm, this season, is Bellingham. But of course because Foden plays for City, and not Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool he's unimpressive and overrated.
Foden is overrated, as is Jack Grealish imo.
Man City's best players are KDB and Rodri.

Slight tangent but I wonder how ambitious the young United youngster is ?
He may have champions league or trophy ambitions ..
I’ve heard a few rumours suggesting that Mainoo may be snapped up by one the elite teams in the summer .. especially if he continues to impress in the league and then the Euros !!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
it's difficult to know or predict what united will do in the summer. They need to clear out a lot of players and it depends if Mainoo is seen as a part of those plans. Being an academy player, if they sell him, its pure profit which helps a lot with FFP
The Newcastle/Hammers game looks like it was mental!
Phillips just can't catch a break
This is why Palmer should take every Chelsea penalty.
Typical Chelsea. However, great hit by the Burnley player
Same old sh!t from Chelsea. Have plenty of chances, can't score.

VAR can definitely influence results at both ends of the table.
Admittedly it can only do it by a few points, so it'd have to be close to begin with, but VAR definitely can impact placings on the table that goes past any quality debates around a squad.

I don't really follow womens football but what did she say that was hypocritcal?
Hayes told reporters after the match: "I think there’s a way to conduct yourself on the touchline, I really do. I think it’s absolutely essential that we role model in the right way. I’m not down for male aggression on the touch line, I’m really not, and fronting up to players, for me, that’s unacceptable. I’m disappointed and I told Jonas that. I don’t think it’s okay to behave like that. He got a yellow card and he should have probably been sent off. I’m all for competing to win, I’ve never been booked in 12 years, my time here, I totally accept he’s a winner and wants to win but his behaviour on the touchline wasn’t acceptable.

Man City had Walker and their goalkeeper out injured and also left out Haaland and KDB, how much easier do they want it?
I can't believe that I'm having to defend Villa here, but you're comparing a team run on a big budget, but nothing that special by today's standards, to a team that is run by a Country.
If Man City couldn't leave certain players out because of a lack of depth in the squad, then something would be seriously wrong.

Ten Hag had to get qualification to the CL to survive. I reckon he will be out the door the moment that becomes mathematically impossible if its not already the case.

On a s serious note, I fail to see the logic in this appointment other than the fact that Sir Jim has worked with him before. Southgate is one of the most experienced international manager yet we still act like he's a novice learning his trade. He's been England manager for 8 years yet we still doubt his methods and question his squad selection

Havertz was given the chance at Chelsea, and did have some great games. He was just off the pace in a lot, and he was our only lone striker for nearly a whole season. I don't think that's the position for him. After a slow start for Arsenal, playing in a great team, he is doing very well. I said when he left, i didn't rate him as much after last season, but that i like him and wish him all the best at Arsenal.
The man scored the winning goal in a CL final for us. He'll always be a legend in my eyes.
Like i said, he's seem to fit in well at Arsenal now and is playing so good football. He's a great guy, good luck to him.
As for tomorrow, Man Utd need to dig as deep as they have ever done before after that gutting defeat against Chelsea. I honestly only see one outcome. A comfortable Liverpool win. Both City and Arsenal won their games comfortably today. And you have to say, Arsenal's defence is really impressive, and their goalscoring. It could come down to GD, and Arsenal basically have an extra point with their current GD.

Mbappe was always destined to be heading to Real Madrid tbh as successor of Karim Benzema
and tbh i think PSG needs renewals as well, and not necessary if they buy a replacement for Mbappe, since they can always move Asensio up front, and they already revealed they have plans for Xavi Simons too in one of the two winger positions with Kang-In Lee the other wing position

Everton have been deducted two points for a second breach of Premier League financial rules.
I do think this is harsh.
I also think points deduction decisions made during a season should not be effective until the start of the next season.
Surely there's a better way of ensuring clubs stay within rules or to just hit the owners of clubs.
Rather than hitting across the board.
Points deductions leave players and supporters suffering too.
Depending on how points deductions affect league status.
it's all going to change next season with there now being an independent regulator. It is their job to protect clubs from going out of business
Meanwhile over at Man Citeh...

i keep having to repeat this, but i will do it one more time. Everton and forest have been spending beyond their means and risk going out of business. City have more money than they can possibly spend, so they are in no danger of going out of business. It a fundamental difference, that people just don't seem to grasp. These rules are to prevent unsustainable losses

1) Ange-ball is being found out. Fulham slaughtered them a few weeks ago by exploiting the space that Ange-ball leaves behind the defnders. Toon did the same today. Ange also doesn't seem to have a plan B.
2) Ultimately, Mr Levy will not back the project. IMO MR Levy is only interested in finishing top four and doesn't care about any higher. He's more interested in hosting Beyonce concerts and NFL games. This will ultimately be the biggest stumbling block.
In Big Ange he's got a manager whos gonna impress with nice football and take the heat of him. HE must be licking his chops at how the fans are actually, seriously talking about winning the league. There will need to be a huge injection of funds for Spurs to be nailed on top four nevermind win the thing.
Example, Spurs only have 6 players on over100k a week. Are those the finances of a top European club? To give you some context, Spurs have only got 6 players on more than Reiss Nelson. Nuff said.

Although the one fact that is true, is that Postecoglou teams do win the domestic League in his second season in charge.
But obviously Man City at the very least, will put a stop to him in the Premier League, let alone Arsenal and Man Utd (who will play better next season) I can't really see Tottenham winning the League next season.
The reason I didn't mention Liverpool, is the random Manager replacement that they've picked to replace Klopp, I feel like that's David Moyes at Man Utd written all over it.
Spurs can play some nice football, but they are not consistent for a multitude of reasons. It's consistency that separates the top teams from everyone else. That's why spurs have no chance of winning the league in the foreseeable future. Thats why west ham are a point or two behind Man U, that's why chelsea are where they are.

Liverpool fans need to get ready for a few seasons of mediocrity. I also think one of VVD or Mo Salah will leave for either Saudi or a fairy-tale European giant. The Klopp era is over and the new manager will take a while to adjust.
I think Big Ange should use Spurs as a stepping stone cuz I think one, if not both, of the Manchester clubs will be looking for a new manager soon. West Ham have great players yet Moyes plays almost anti-football. They should replace him. A new manager would do better with Ward-Prowse, Paqueta, Kudus, Jared Bowen etc
I think the Moyes, Big Sams or Sean Dyches have a limited shelf life. Basically the dour British manager is not in demand anymore. Someone like Iraola would be great at Everton or West Ham

Paqueta and Kudus are amazing players for sure but otherwise we're not awash with talent and Moyes is getting the best out of them imo.
