Chelsea are doing fine  in Daddy Todd Boehly we believe
True, Chelsea look brilliant, shrewd in the transfer window, another excellent result today, City will be looking over their shoulders for sure

He wont do anything at Chelsea, he would have been much better going to Liverpool
They were lucky that goal counted tbh.
Everyone online say it wasn’t a goal
It’s crazy how Krap our VAR system is !!
La Liga have dreadful refs who appear to be inept or just corrupt but their VAR system works perfectly and it’s also FAST !

He would have got less money there though. The Suadi's can't compete with the wages we pay for average, unproven players.

One of the strangest signings around. Chelsea did well a few years ago signing young layers, loaning them out, then making a killing with a sale, but there is no profit in Lavia at all.
Journo's were reporting yesterday he wanted Liverpool but his agent pushed him into Chelsea because of the wages and length of contract.

Yeah it was all to do with the money for him, really bizarre move all round imo. Chelsea a bit of a sinking ship, and if they do go down which is entirely possible that will be the end of us as a club.
I’m reluctant to watch bladdy Newcastle again they make me so angry with constant fouls and time wasting. !!
Let’s see how many fouls go unpunished by Joelinton today

the chelsea squad is very young, there is no way they can be expected to be a top 4 side after playing with each other for 2 weeks max. They don't have europe this year, and that will be a big advantage at the end of the year

Nah, youth doesn't mean that much. And Chelsea just look so poor, all the time.
Brighton running Newcastle ragged so Joelinton falls to the floor to buy some respite for the team and relieve the pressure
Then he gets up and sprints off !!
Cheeky bar-steward !!

Crazy game. Arsenal looked out of sorts. Has anyone commented on the Havertz miss? How did a professional footballer completely miskick in that position? it's worrying.
Man Utd didn't deserve to lose 3-1 but they didn't deserve to win 3-1 at Old Trafford this time last year.
The Havertz experiment is worrying. Mikel needs to reassess. He's hooked Havertz in the last two games and Arsenal have gone on to score two goals after he's come off. It's not a coincident,
I hope Havertz doesnt get Mikel the sack but its got to work. I beleive Havertz is now Arsenals highest paid player. Mikel wanted him to the point where other options were avaialabe - Maddison, Ward-Prowse,Tieleman but MIkel didnt want any of them, he wanted Havertz and the Havertz deal was done before the Rice deal. ITs got to work but the player looks bereft of confidence. Arsenal have to ease him in to the first team. The shoe horning him into the line up isnt working
maybe havertz has match day nerves or something, because he missed a sitter

maybe havertz has match day nerves or something, because he missed a sitterI dont know whats up with him but he cannot stay in the starting line up for much longer. It will cont Arsenal points.
If you watch him when he was in Germany, clearly the lad is talented but he plays the game at his own pace and in this instance this is very much a weakness. He slows the game down too much and allows opposition defenders to set up properly. He needs to do everything a fraction quicker.

If we have a typical Wenger season. Staying in every competiotion till February 2024 but going out of them all in March 2024  then I will give Arteta a thumbs up. That will be progress. I still think Arteta has to prove that he can put out two teams a week. Jadon Sancho says he has been "a scapegoat for a long time" after Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag said he was dropped for Sunday's game at Arsenal because of poor training performance.
The England forward did not travel to Emirates Stadium for the game, which United lost 3-1.

Does anyone think this Man Utd side is better that the one Ronaldo was kicked out of. Seems like a life time ago but United had Ronaldo this time last year. Apparently he didn't fit in to the system and had to go. One year later, is the system working? Does this team look better? They went from Ronaldo to Weghorst.
I think Ten Haag is under more pressure than people are saying. His dumping on Sancho today is awful management IMO. I dont see them doing much this year.
i don't see united doing much either and the whole greenwood affair has been so poorly handled. I also read that a club had agreed to take Donny van de Beek on loan and then backed out because they didn't like his attitude. I think the club is completely dysfunctional

A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an alleged incident during Arsenal's 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday.
It follows the circulation of footage on social media showing Sky Sports pundits Micah Richards and Roy Keane involved in an altercation with an individual.
Ex-United captain Keane was reportedly the alleged victim of the assault.
Sky Sports say Richards was "acting to defuse a situation".
"Police are investigating an incident at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, 3 September, during which a man was assaulted," The Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
"On Monday, 4 September, a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH). The man has been taken into police custody. Enquiries are ongoing."

Referees' chief Howard Webb says Manchester City's second goal in their 5-1 win over Fulham on Saturday should not have counted.
City retook the lead through Nathan Ake but Webb believes Manuel Akanji, standing in an offside position, caused goalkeeper Bernd Leno to hesitate.
"It's a clear situation of offside," Webb told Match Officials: Mic'd Up.
This season referees' body the PGMOL and the Premier League are releasing in-game audio from officials.
"From the outset I think this should have been disallowed. It certainly appears Akanji has an impact on the goalkeeper who seems to hesitate," added Webb on the first episode of Match Officials: Mic'd Up, shown on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
Webb also said the video assistant referee (VAR) should have awarded Wolves a late penalty against Manchester United in the two sides' opening game of the season.
He added that John Brooks' decision to send off Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk against Newcastle was correct.
And Alejandro Garnacho's strike against Arsenal for Manchester United was "rightly disallowed" for offside.

Manchester United shares have seen their biggest ever one-day fall after a report that the team's US owners are going to take it off the market.
The club's shares fell by more than 18% in New York on Tuesday.
That came after the Mail on Sunday reported that no potential buyer had matched the club's asking price.
The US-based Glazer family announced in November it was considering selling the Premier League club as they explored "strategic alternatives".
Manchester United's co-chairmen, brothers Joel and Avram Glazer, are holding out for an offer of £10bn, according to the Mail on Sunday.
However, prospective bidders Sheikh Jassim of Qatar and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe had not come close to offering that amount, the paper said.
The newspaper cited a source with long-standing close ties to the club's owners as saying the Glazer family may try again next year to sell the team when they hoped to attract more bidders.

it reflects on Man U's poor transfer policy, the recent window shows that no-one wants their players when they want to sell them, or they are paying such high salaries that players would need to take a cut to leave

Manchester United winger Antony has agreed to delay his return to the club "to address allegations" of assault made against him.
The 23-year-old was due back to training on Monday after being dropped from Brazil's squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
But United say it has been agreed with the player that he will delay his return until further notice in order to address the matter.

A collection of shirts amassed by a mystery ex-England footballer during the 1990 World Cup is going on sale.
The eight shirts, being sold by Derbyshire-based Hansons Auctioneers, were collected during England's seven games in the tournament, which saw the team defeated in the semi-finals by West Germany.
A signed yellow shirt, worn by goalkeeper Peter Shilton during the penalty defeat, is also up for sale.
The collection could fetch £300,000.
Charles Hanson, owner of the auction firm, said he could not reveal which ex-England star was selling the shirts "due to client confidentiality".
"However, he played a crucial role in Italia 1990 and enjoyed a stellar career in football," he said.

Man Utd winger Jadon Sancho will train away from the first team until issues with manager Erik ten Hag are resolved.
Ten Hag left Sancho out of his squad for the loss at Arsenal earlier this month, saying the winger's training performances had been below standard.
Sancho, 23, rejected the Dutchman's reasoning and claimed he had been "a scapegoat for a long time".
United said in a statement Sancho would be on a "personal training programme away from the first team".
The statement added that the decision was made "pending resolution of a squad discipline issue."
The news comes in a week where another United forward, Antony, also stepped away from first-team duties amid domestic abuse allegations made by his former partner.

It's not really money well spent though is it?
The biggest problem at Man Utd imo is the fact that they have brought in players with severe attitude problems, it's okay to have the odd player like that if they're a 10/10 player in their ability, but it can't be half of the team being heavily egotistical.

I don't think there are problems necessarily at that club. They spend a fortune, then cry about the glazers not investing enough and whip out the Norwich scarves. Liverpool spent a lot (for the time) trying to catch yernited when they first started winning, but sometimes it just doesn't work out, especially when you're competing against a team like city that get near 100 pts every season.
Desperation doesn't help people make good decisions. The only mistake they made was Moyes, and that was fergies parting gift

I do think that the Glazers have failed to hire a Manager that suits Man Utd's style of Football, plus I do think that they've allowed the players to think that they're in charge of the club instead of the Manager.
I agree with you about the Glazers spending money because that's a fact that they've spent a lot of money at Man Utd, but throughout all of Man Utd's "struggling" years, the Glazers have been apart of all of it, so it can't be a coincidence that they are the only constant force in the years where Man Utd are struggling to win anything.
Also haven't Man Utd got a leaked roof at Old Trafford? Which speaking from experience with BSHL, not maintaining the Stadium is a really ****ty ownership.

They were also in charge for a champions league and a few league titles, so that can't be a coincidence, right?
The senior management are at fault at Man U in my opinion. There is no forward planning regarding the stadium and training facilities. They haven't set out a clear vision of where they want the club to go. Managers have been given funds and made some very questionable signings. Ten Hag is suffering now because the players are earning such large salaries, they can't get the same from any other club, so he cant get rid of them until their contracts expire.
A strong manager is needed to deal with the big egos of the players, but he also needs to be fair and realistic and utilise the squad he has and get the best out of them. They looked good for a few weeks last season, but not any more, and that is the managers responsibility to get right. He needs to stop blaming players

However they haven't replaced Fergie or David Gil with anyone that's truly Man Utd caliber imo, and they have overseen an era of really entitled players, and three of their players being accused of crimes (the third one being Maguire's incident in Greece) they seem to be running Man Utd like an NFL team with the issues that regular crop up at the moment.

Wolves - Liverpool
(normally not a difficult one for Liverpool but you never know with their inconsistency)
Villa - Palace
(could be a tough one that, Palace above expectations also in the top half)
Man United - Brighton
(about time ETH's team start performing well on the pitch but i am expecting a Brighton win here)
Spurs - Sheffield
(easy Spurs win, yup)
West Ham - Man City
(top match could go either way i think)
Fulham - Luton Town
(if Luton want to win their first points, this might be a good place to try going for that, Fulham ain't the best team either so idk)
Newcastle - Brentford
(Newcastle are underachieving, Brentford got a good streak at the moment, i can see an upset in the makings here)
Bournemouth - Chelsea
(idk could be a draw, on paper i'd say Chelsea are the favourites here, but idk)
Everton - Arsenal
(ahead of the cracker CL game vs PSV, a chance for Arsenal for a good morale boost with a dominant win here maybe)
Nottingham Forest - Burnley
(Kompany's team so far not showing why exactly they promoted back, and Forest got a powerhouse in midfield in Sangaré, think Forest are the faves here)

Unbeaten in 15 games (longest in the league), 10 points out of 12 having played both Newcastle and Chelsea away.
It'll be a tough game, and I have a feeling they'll drop points, but they're not particularly inconsistent at the moment.

Denied a clear pen at Chelsea
Had a man wrongly sent off against Bournemouth
Had VVD sending off that could have gone either way, then got another ban because he said "fcuking joke," as though refs don't get that every decision they make.
All of the Newcastle players given free reign to hack us all match without even yellow cards.
Dispatched a villa team that was flying with ease.

It's already too late to sort the defence out. Owners knew we needed a proper 6 as fabs legs had died, and at least one more defender at the start of summer. We bought neither. the problem is that the players are on such high salaries that they would have to take a pay cut to leave. Maguire refused to leave unless united gave him 5 million. the problem is that the players are on such high salaries that they would have to take a pay cut to leave. Maguire refused to leave unless united gave him 5 million. So they basically have to run all the contracts down, and get f all for them. It's such bad management, and thats not the fault of the coach
United will always have that problem, because they pay so much. Same as Chelsea. It's hard to put that genie back in the bottle. Any plyers signing with us, know that 50p a week, and one sherbet dip per month is about as much as they'll get.
Szobozslei and Mac are on about 150k/wk. if they'd signed for you guys, they'd be on close to double that.
No way will united invest in a 6 year plan to overhaul everyone, if it means a couple of completely uncompetitive years

TBH Brighton are better than Man U so the score was pretty normal

One of the things I cannot understand and the main reason why I think Ten Haag's a fraud; are the players who used to play for him at Ajax but have turned to sh*t at Man U. Martinez is gonna be a great defender but Anthony? Please. And the biggest one of all, Van de Beek. He was on the Ballon D'Or shortilist under Ten Haag at AJax and now he's not even in the match day squad.

TBF Ole bought VDB., and sent him permanently to the reserves.
Players that are good in dutch league, don't always translate, and the mistake was thinking they would be.
Anthony cost loads more than Nunez, and doesn't get half the abuse.
Brentford playing some lovely football
Crazy how these teams who cost tuppence can play so well ageing mega rich clubs

Van de Beek is a huge puzzle given he used to be brilliant under Ten Haag at Ajax

I can see Ten Hag being gone within the month if results like this continue

I agree about players in the Dutch league but the underlying point I'm making is that these players should know exactly what Ten Haag is looking for and should be slotting straight into his style of play
Van de Beek is baffling. How does he go from being close to named the best player on the planet to on loan at Everton. When that spell was over I though he'd be a star for United just cuz Ten Haag had taken over. The players Ten Haag had previously worked with should be first three names on the team sheet

I think the refs must be being paid or threatened as they just let Newcastle kick , push , grab and throw people around without punishment
Baffling as today Liverpool’s Macalister was booked when his sleeve brushed against the Wolves forward who’s legs collapsed ( another damn cheat in our league)

First of many.
I’m also sick of bruising CBs falling to the ground after the slightest contact yet they smash people around at will .,
I’m talking about Schär and Wolves’s Dawson both to be seen rolling around today
