Sawyer and Kate are my favourites, to me they make the show. Charlie was great too, I wish he stayed longer.
One person who grew on is Juliet. At the beginning I thought she was a nasty bitch but she is alright now.

Juliet and her fish face annoys me immensely. Sawyer's cool, it was funny when he went "Thank you lord" when that time shift happened when they were being shot at, and when they got dumped in the middle of a storm he went "I take that back" lol

I had a genuine laugh out loud moment at that. I loved the newest episode, I'm glad we've progressed from the fun but dull stuff off island that we had before! Can't wait for the next episode :D

Ana Lucia was ok, but the actress just plays the same role in everything she is in, and that put me off her.

My favourite dead characters are Eko, Michael, Charlie and Shannon, I didn't really mind the rest of them dying. [I liked Keamy too, but I don't really count him as a prominent character].

Yeah, Caeser is the guy who found the gun, and Ilana is the girl he threw the flashlight to. And yeah, next weeks looks pretty good, I just hope it doesn't focus on the Sawyer/Kate/Jack love triangle too much

I agree. She needs to try something else, cuz the hardass doesn't quite cut it anymore. She's either very limited in her acting skills or she's not being offered other roles.

My favourite character of all time has to be Locke. Of all the characters, his story has been the most complex and relevant one. I loved Mr Eko, and was sorry to see him go. He was also an interesting guy.

I love Hurley, cuz he gets the comedic moments. And, Sayid is brilliant, cuz he's like a proper tough guy.. could literally kick the **** out of anyone on the island.. gotta love that haha

Yeah it was a great episode, especially because it was focussed on Sawyer (LOL @ LaFleur), my fave character in there. And him and Juliet together makes more interesting what he feels when Kate is back on the island...should be good.

Richard isn't travelling in time... at least I don't think he is. Back in 'Because You Left' when Richard is telling Locke he has to die, Locke sees the flash but Richard doesn't. And if he was he would have been in the same position, which he wasn't.

Did you know Lost ratings are 18% down compared to season 4 in the US ? I can understand why, people got more and more confused by the beginning of the season, which was a complete disaster IMO.

It's not even about that I think. It's just the beginning was very very confusing and people got lost like I did. I can see why they're not watching anymore, it was all over the place.

Ratings are down but in the demos its doing as well as season 4 and coming top in its slot, and in that 18-34 demo is wherer the money is made from adverisers

I liked the episode, particularly the van incident hahaha! Regarding the spoiler James posted, yeah I think he'll pull through but it did look pretty... final. Also I loved that interrogation scene, it was kind of funny haha. No idea what the next episode's going to be like - hopefully moving forward in the story a bit though, the latest episode felt like a bit of a stall in the storyline to be honest.

The only thing I can think of is that they ended up becoming hostiles with Richard & co, either that or they're dead- which I doubt.

Desmond first arrived on the Island when his boat crashed, so the same thing will probably happen to him again.

The carvings on the wall that Ben looks at before being judged seems to be the Egyptian god 'Anubis' [the statue seems to resemble Anubis too] bowing down and reaching out to the smoke monster, which could suggest the the monster has more power/control than Anubis. Screencap:

I didn't think I would, but I enjoyed it. I like Chang a lot, and Miles. I'm going to predict that Miles tells Chang that he is his son and everything that has happened with time travel, and Chang sends Miles' mum and baby Miles off of the Island because he knows about the purge.

I really didn't care for the ending though. I don't know what it is about him, but I really don't like Daniel that much.

And 2 weeks for a new episode :cloud: Althought, I'm kinda glad that the 2 week break came after this episode and not Dead Is Dead.

Yeah I don't think it was really that good, I just found it amusing. Any episode would have had a hard time following last weeks, though.

After watching Lost for the 4 years that I have, and seeing that time travel was introduced to the show, I think time travel in itself is a really fascinating subject. Scientists seem think it's actually possible by means of creating a Casimir effect, which would create a wormhole, or using existing wormholes in space that would allow space/time to be warped. What's the deal with the polar bears, seriously? - I'm guessing that at one time the Island was placed in/around the Antartica and polar bears just made their way onto it. And remember in Charlotte's first flashback scene in Confirmed Dead, she found a polar bear in the middle of the desert.... so the people on the Island probably used the bears to turn the frozen wheel so they could stay on the Island and the bear would leave.
What about the whispering and the monster and Jacob's cabin? - Possibly the people travelling through time talking? I hope that isn't it though.
Why was Claire in Jacob's cabin/what's she up to?
Why are Locke and Jack's dad apparently alive and well? - Sawyer killed Locke's dad. I think Jack's dad is like Locke, dead when arriving on the Island and then being alive again (or it seems like he's alive, anyway).
Who was Henry Gale? - Probably worked for Widmore
What's the story behind the Black Rock? - I think this will be how Richard Alpert got to the Island.
Who were "Adam" and "Eve"? - Rose and Bernard maybe? They could die in the past.

What if at some point adult Miles dies, but baby Miles is present. Isn't it possible that part of dead Miles' consciousness will connect with baby Miles, giving baby Miles knowledge of life after death.
By Lost standards, I don't think that this is that implausible. He is the only character to have encountered another version of himself. I can't see how else it will be explained.

Lost's Henry Ian Cusick sued for sexual harassment

Lost star Henry Ian Cusick is being sued by a former ABC employee who alleges sexual battery and harassment against the actor.

According to the suit, filed yesterday in Los Angeles court and posted in its entirety at E! Online, Cusick, who plays Desmond Hume on the show, allegedly squeezed and placed his face on the plaintiff's breasts, kissed her on the mouth, and caressed the back of her body while making moaning sounds. The plaintiff claims the incident occurred on the set of the hit series on or about October 16, 2007, and that she was she was fired 12 days later, in retaliation for reporting Cusick's behavior. She is seeking unspecified damages in the suit, which also names ABC Entertainment Inc., and Grass Skirt Productions as defendants.

The plaintiff had been employed by ABC since 1997, according to the suit, and had reported her allegations to the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing prior to suing.

I really dislike Daniel as a character; but I really enjoyed the episode, I could just something was going to happen to him when he said "any one of us can die" (or whatever it was...) it just screamed FORESHADOWING! FORESHADOWING!

I guess Daniel's "bad things will happen in X hours" speech will cause Kate and Jack to go on a hero mission to try and stop their plane crash; thing is, what does that actually mean in the long run? If they're in 1977, are they going to age thirty years or not? Is that why Richard Alpert is eternally young; because he too is stuck back in time? Interesting theory. Also I like that suggestion about Miles dying but passing his knowledge onto his younger self; that's cool!

I loved the newest episode, it wasn't a huge plot progression but I'm really excited for the season finale now! I'm glad a lot of things have been set up for the finale, and I really want to know what's going to go down!! I like that Juliet, Sawyer and Kate are on the submarine, for a while I was thinking we'd see Hurley, Jack and Kate all die in the episode after what Richard said, but perhaps something will happen in the finale!

Vincent as the smoke monster would be a lol and a half, I hope that happens! Hahaha.

I have to agree with Miles. They caused the Incident. I mean, if Jack never got to the island then he never detonated the bomb, so the Incident would still happen.

Ok, here are my theories (well they're not mine, after watching the episode last night I just copied and pasted others from the IMDb board so I could try and figure it out). Spoilers from The Incident-

1. After watching the finale, I think that the cabin had nothing to do with Jacob. The ash around the cabin was actually keeping the other guy from the beginning of the episode imprisoned. The break in the circle showed that he got out and somehow has possessed John.

2. "Loop hole"
Esau can't kill Jacob. But he can trick some one into doing the work for him.

Jacob = The island off the island.
Esau = The smoke monster on the island.

All the Jacob scenes were flash forward scenes, where Jacob changes important moments in the Losties lives, that change them into better people by preventing bad things from happening.

I'm going to guess that they all still make it back to the island, which is why Jacob just said he was sorry to Locke for what happened to him, so he is not to alter his path too far from the previous one.

3. So Smokey & Jacob have been fighting since the island began. Don't know why. Smokey can appear as anyone, (Yemi, Christian, Dude at the beginning of the episode...) Smokey can't kill Jacob however, he needs the loophole. Again, don't know why. So if Locke has been dead since Ben killed him, then Smokey has been impersonating him since Ajira crashed back on the island.

He tricked Ben into doing whatever "John Locke" says. He tricked Ben into killing Jacob, which he couldn't do. Now, exactly what ramifications is all this going to have on the island and it's inhabitants? Don't know.

Not sure what all of this means, but I think that's at least what was going on, though missing the why.

And as far as Jack and the rest of the losties are concerned... I think he's going to wake up on the island like the series premiere, judging from the eye opening during the montage that rolled during the credits.

4. The Locke we've seen walking around since the crash of Ajira 316 is not the real Locke. The real Locke is still dead. As Ben called it, "dead is dead". Even the Island doesn't bring people back to life.

Instead, it's been the man we saw on the beach with Jacob in the beginning of the episode. He said he wanted to kill Jacob, to which Jacob said he could not, and the man claimed he would find a loophole. Hence, at the end of the episode, Jacob looks at "Locke" and says, "You found your loophole." The loophole was that the man would manipulate someone else into killing Jacob for him.

We can possibly infer that this man is also the Smoke Monster. Hence, he would convince Ben that he needed to follow Locke's orders, and then, posing as Locke, he would tell Ben to kill Jacob.

Is that essentially what we were supposed to get out of the finale?

5. "Walt approaches Locke, who teaches him the rules of backgammon, explaining that the game is over 5,000 years old, referring to the Mesopotamian Royal Game of Ur. The boy explains that he never actually knew Michael, and is only in his care because his mom got sick and died just a couple of weeks earlier. Locke then ominously asks if Walt wants to know a secret."

You are correct in that's all about the black/white. It's been a game from the very beginning. This is exemplified by seeing Jacob in white at the begining and the bad guy in black. The past 5 seasons have faded to black, because this time, it was black's turn to win the game. Now, that the game has reset with the bomb, it appears that it will be white's turn to win.

The battle between Jacob and "the man in black" seemed to begin anew with the appearance of the ship the Black Rock.
Juliet seems to have reset the game by smashing the bomb with a black rock.

Episode 4 of season 1 is great, Walkabout. The final scene of that episode is one of the best I've ever seen on any show.

I don't think Juliet is dead because...

They showed she survived the fall and in Lost if someone isn't shown to die on-screen they probably haven't died eg. Jin on the freighter.

If the bomb went off then either the other Losties will all be dead also or the plan worked and history is reset.

Sayid didn't look in a good way either after getting shot and I don't think they would kill him off aswell.

I read somewhere that the Juliet actress has a part in another series next-year but it wouldn't stop Lost guest appearances at least.

Watching the first season of Lost. On episode 5. I am really loving it. Its nice because I havent really watched the first 2 seasons, apart from the odd episodes here and there.

Episode 4 of season 1 is great, Walkabout. The final scene of that episode is one of the best I've ever seen on any show.

I want to watch back all the old episodes sometime but it is rather a lot to watch lol.

Well, that was amazing !!!! Incredible ending to a sh*y start, I'm so happy the producers found a way to turn the time travel in something huge.

No more Lost until February :bored::bored: But hey, it's the season finale, it's going to be more intense this time.

Has anyone guessed whose eye was it in the next season's trailer at the end ? People on Internet think it's either Jack's or Juliet's but no one is sure.

At the time i thought this is how the Smoke Monster could have been made because the electromagnitism combined with the plutonium core of the bomb could create the monter and the electromagnitism could have absorbed the blast (black smoke) and created the monter...

but ive found a couple of holes in my theory so its not possible...

p.s I cant believe Juliet is dead. She was my favourite and she never got to go home to see her sister :sad:

I agree, he is annoying the hell out of me. Sawyer is 100000% better than him, I loved how Sawyer kicked his ass last episode, so good. :hugesmile:

Juliet has been confirmed to appear on season 6 but no one knows if she will be a regular character, or featued in a flashback or something else. I really hope she isn't tbh, I didn't like her at the beginning but she is a major character now.

By the way, the producers said the secret about the smoke monster won't be revealed until the last episode of season 6. I also NEED to know what the hell happened to that statue, it's killing me. And also why do we have 2 Locke's and what relation does the island have with the Egyptian culture.

Mabe the bomb does go off and destroys the statue and the orchid station etc... but at the same time it jolts the PEOPLE that are out of sync (sawyer kate etc... ) forward back into thier own time ?

I think at the start of the last episode Jacob represents 'good' (dressed in white) and the other guy represents evil (dressed in black) and the person that was in the cabin was actually the evil guy pretending to be jacob (thats why he didnt have the same voice as the jacob we seen yesterday) and when he asked Locke to help him he ment to Kill Jacob [because at the start of the episode the guy in black said to Jacob 'im gonna kill you one of these days'' so he's been playing Locke all along and has possesed his body and then killed Jacob. And one of the people he had brainwashed e.g. Claire broken the circle of ash in which he was confined.

I'm pretty sure the evil guy took the form of Locke, meaning that Locke isn't really Locke, as Locke is infact dead.

I like the idea of them though being blown forward into their own time, cos I'm all for happily ever afters and all that ****. :hugesmile:

I have a feeling that the whole show will end with an ending like season 5 :S , leaving us to guess what happens. I hope not.

LOL! its fun! Right now I am at the part where Loe and KAte are being held by that dude in the hatch! And Sawyer and Michael are on the middle of the ocean on the raft after Walt got abducted. I have no idea what happens next!:spin2:
