I agree that they are filthy things though, I personally would say at most two uses before you bin and replace, but that's probably bad for dolphins and whatnot.

Yes, you're supposed to clean them with bleach after you clean the toilet. How else do you clean your toilet LT?

If you run bleach around the bowl prior to defecating you will never have an issue. Otherwise a jug of hot water will suffice.

I use them with a bleach-wipe. Keeps the brush clean, and cleans the toilet better.

Not in my house.
Loo brushes should only be used on a clean looking loo, for scrubbing under the ridge.
If you need a number two, then pop some loo roll in the loo.
A good flush afterwards and then some bleach or loo cleaner around the bowl.

That's so much work when you can just brush it quickly. You use bleach, paper towels, vinegar and scourers for one job?
