All hail the Moyesiah

There I was just coming to the end of my haircut when a bloke comes in and says - 'hey Frank remember me!? Jason's lad' and they say a quick hello which is fine. But then the conversation went like this:
'You hear I'm having a kid now Frank?' 'Bloody hell! And is that a good thing?' 'Well yeah it's good it's just with the wrong woman' 'Are you still with her?' 'Yeah but she's the wrong one. I have so many reasons to leave her. I want to get back with my ex' 'But that ships sailed has it?' 'Nah I don't think so' Then before I know what has happened he has plonked himself down in the barber chair next to me and instead of finishing my haircut my barber is giving life advice to this lad telling him he can't just stay with the girl because of the child and if he's not happy then it's better to break up now then just stay with her for the sake of it. This goes on and on and eventually he finishes off my haircut but all while playing therapist to this young guy which made me late to return to work. Now two things occured to me: 1. How brazen of him to air his dirty laundry like that in a barbers shop full of strangers. Also how inappropriate to be talking about the mother of his child like that while still being with her ![]() 2. Was this good advice from Frank? Should the fella not give it a chance for the sake of the child and stop pining after his ex which would no doubt end in tears? I get the logic of leaving but maybe the guy should suck it up and take some accountability. Anyway I even got dragged into this with the guy asking me for my opinion but I said I'd leave the advice to Frank and simply wished him luck |
