Actually you can refuse service to anyone for any reason and ask them to leave, if it's a licenced premises (such as a bar or bookmaker, yaaay technicalities). It's not like standard retail because it falls under licencing laws and, thus, is never considered a public place. It is always a private establishment and can legally refuse entry (or eject customers) on staff discretion. You literally don't even have to give a reason. "Get out, because I'm telling you to get out" is perfectly valid.
