They didnt set out to murder him....but it came down to whether they were aware he was being dragged along. They kept swerving from side to side knowing (I believe) that he was being dragged and tried to dislodge him. That makes it murder....but they obviously convinced the jury that they didnt realise it was the officer...hence Manslaughter..


This is such a tragedy...such a lovely looking young man...and his poor wife.
