- Crooks was a member at a nearby rifle club.
- Law enforcement officials say there was a good amount of planning that took place.
- Crooks was somehow able to climb on the roof WITH A RIFLE ON HIS BACK while not being detected by police or Secret Service.
- Crooks was not carrying an ID.
- Explosive materials were found in his vehicle and home.
- He has recently bought 50 rounds of live ammo locally
- Crooks graduated from Community College of Allegheny County with an associate degree in engineering science.
- Crooks worked as a dietary aid at a nursing center who said his "background check was clean."
- Classmates said he was a "loner" in high school.
- High school teacher said he was one of the few conservatives in class.

It's pretty remarkable that someone who would try to assassinate a president
had no apparent digital footprint.
