All hail the Moyesiah

Thanks for sharing Little Brother, sounds like you'd have made a really interesting housemate
I do wonder to what extent it gets a bit manipulated when it's down to the final few, a lot of them have contacts in the industry who can put in a good word or some of them even have agents |

![]() Even if they wanted to grab a new generation of viewers, their decisions still don't make sense.... don't producers realise , it's boring seeing immature 20 year olds on our screens all the time. And I agree - love island rejects must have been the theme they were going for ![]() I wonder if people are still ignorant about what an older person acts like or how they look, not all old people are frail ,confused & boring...they probably think all old people do is sit and eat worthy's original and knit . There's some fascinating fit & healthy old people out there, plus life experience...I bet you have some interesting stories to tell ?. I think it would have been far better viewing if we saw a 70 year old giving a 23 year old advice or something and seeing a nice bond develop...as it should be a learning experience aswell as entertainment. |

I have a degree and work (still) in one of the professions and I can recite the alphabet with a modicum of accuracy and count to 10 without using my fingers. So I don't think that was the problem. Perhaps it was just a flick of the coin.

Maybe a lot of older people have no interest in applying for it?

With the ones that I saw, there was nothing that made me think that any of them had agents. The majority were just ordinary people albeit a few were totally dysfunctional. Off the wall. Different for CBB of course where they do have agents.

You seen golden bachelor?, the guy was a fit 70 year old who looked good for his age,and the women who he was dating... also looked great and active. I know that's a dating show...but I think plenty of older people want to be given a chance in general on reality shows. It's not fair they keep getting knocked back. |

Yeah lol, Ali was the first housemate who actually seemed smart imo and she was like halfway through the cast?
Not really bothered about the ages overall though as long as they're an entertaining/interesting group of people |

I’m fearful for next year, I hope we see more older representation of 70+ housemates, plus I think having older housemates can be a good influence on the younger ones with sharing life experiences, some can also be good tv and can bring the drama Kim Woodburn showed that

There was somebody who auditioned who had travelled from Glasgow but they clearly didn't get through. I don't think they got through to the second stage on the day either.

So it appears that Emma has had tv appearances on Emmerdale, Coronation Street. And Hollyoaks, she also was a page 3 model and has an agent..
Segun is a Creative Executive at Cancer Research UK as well as being a model signed to Fomo. Daze was a political candidate and is an actor, Marcello is a rapper, Dean a radio DJ. Khaled applied for Love Island, and not big brother. But he obviously never got on it so opted for Big Brother instead. Hannah also has an established social media Last edited by DanielM787; 07-10-2024 at 06:57 PM. |

Yeah nowadays it seems everyone who gets on reality TV , already has been on TV or done some type of media work . They all have social media & followers . The days are long gone ,where we use to get first time TV contestants, who have never been famous. |

Wasn't BB1's age average like 24? A lot of Channel 4 era had ridiculously young averages. I think BB12 is still the youngest. Aaron and Heaven being 30 and the others all being 28 or under.

I just can’t believe that people who did their GCSEs in 2011 are coming up for 30 now. It’s … seriously scary.
