…I know this is going a bit off topic from Ali but I love these moments with Hannah and Lily and Hannah couching Lily in her ‘boot camp’….Lily is just so responsive to Hannah, it’s quite a joy to see…while many of the other HM’s have pandered to Lily and maybe even ‘baby’d’ her…Hannah is just…’now look here, missy…these are the rules and you better shape up…’…not in a confrontational way, though…firm but fair and caring…?…

Honestly, Hannah is spot on there. And did she not have such a thick LANDAN YA GET ME MADEM INNIT accent, and it was delivered to Lily by Ali for example people would be like "Ali = Queen". But as it's Hannah, who does sound common as muck (but so what) people don't take Hannah seriously.

It's not how something said, or the accent, it's what is said. And if you really listen to Hannah a lot of the time in the house, she's actually very perceptive and intelligent. She makes fantastic points.

Agreed. It's a shame because the empathy and the raw cleverness seems to have been lost on a lot of people through all the mouthiness.

…yeah I think it is also how it’s said from Hannah because it really is just a…ok, so this is how it is ….but not in a critical way, Hannah’s calm but she’s also encouraging and shows great faith in Lily that she can be thoughtful and consider others…she doesn’t use language like…’..you could try…’…etc…it really is like a boot camp method of, this is what’s going to happen……and Lily looks so responsive to that…

There are too many judging her on how she says a thing, her accent, rather than what she is saying.

I agree. This is exactly what I hoped would happen, as it demonstrates respect for Lily, whilst highlighting social expectations as regards appropriate behaviour and boundaries. At 20, it can only be beneficial for Lily to be more mature and to show consideration for others, as it is way past the time she should have been taught these skills. Perhaps in doing this, Hanah will inadvertently help Lily to develop the friendships she seems to have been yearning for.
