A gay person is very clearly immune to fancying a straight person, yes. Otherwise they wouldn’t call themselves gay. They can appreciate someone is good looking, doesn’t mean they have any sexual attraction to that person.

Absolutely no way is that true. A straight man can, and has been smitten with a lesbian in history. The same way a gay guy would be smitten with a straight guy. No, it wont happen, but we can't help who we fall for or/and fancy.
This is my point of you blurring the lines. You are saying gay guys are immune from fancying, or falling for straight guys, and again, vice versa.
