Yeah after she had been caught out

They all slag each other off behind each others backs. This is not exclusive to Hannah. Ali is guilty of slagging Dean off behind his back, and many others like Lily for example.

It's literally the bread and butter of Big Brother as a whole. They all talk about each other. It's more to do with being caught out and owning it, which Hannah did. Ali however, denies any wrong doing, and is a lot more snidey with it.

At which point she had a choice.. To shrivel and apologise and say it wasn't what it looks like, like most of them would, or to stand up and own it.

She chose the latter, and I like that.

It's only a crime when Hanah does it though it seems.

Ok. Just balancing things as Ali is not Rosemary West which you would think she is some of the comments

She owned it in the most trashy and childish, gangsta way possible. Thinking she's better than Big Brother.

No you listen babes, you me, blud

Really?

Have you been reading here and DS?

People are obsessed with Ali and love Hanah now as she said something behind her back (which Ali is guilt of too with other housemates)

It's siding with someone who dislikes who they dislike. It's as Ali would say 'point scoring'

You are comparing the bullshit of Ali and the criticism she has clearly earned against Hanah having a way of speaking that you consider 'trash'.

Those working class people, eh? They just don't know how to speak.

Yeah the Classism and superiority (by the very same) people who preach tolerance and acceptance is astounding when it comes to Hannah. Like i've said in other threads, if people could actually see past their snobbishness and hear what Hannah is saying, they'd see what she says is absolutely spot on. She's a very intelligent and perceptive person.

Yep, 100% agree.

There is nothing more a Guardian reading type hates more than a working class person though.

Whilst in a coffee house paying £8 for a swanky coffee, spouting about how "progressive" they are, and that they're part of the solution, not the problem....Etc etc etc

If a man is seen arguing with a woman he can too easily been seen as being aggressive or bullying, especially when the inevitable waterworks start. But Hanah can take the fight right to her and she 100% has the strength of character to do so.

Where Ali seems to have a strong streak of misandry running through her, Hanah has a strong empathy with her boys.

Where Ali relies on grooming Lily and artificial alliances (Dean) to get her through, Hanah has actual friends in there. She hasn't got a team because it is tactically sound to do so, she just has people who like each other.

I have always said that Hanah has shown glimpses of being a great HM but has never had her 'moment' where it all solidified, but I think last night could have been it.

It's a shame that already some views are interpreting her strong principled stand as 'angry aggression', but some can only see a black woman with a voice as that so it's to be expected.
I really like and admire Hanah. She seems intelligent, educated and well-informed, as well as being loyal and willing to stand up for her principles. To me, she came across as strong, passionate and principled, and even if some of her response to BB was a little rude, the shock value created its own humour. Hanah is probably my favourite of the girls.

You make a lot of great points in your post, but I kind of wish you’d left out your last sentence as it reads as if there might be some subtle accusations being implied, which might well be unfair to members who could have valid reasons for disagreeing with Hanah, and, as a consequence all those good point you made could be over-shadowed.

Ali does not live by the standards that she so loudly judges others by.
There is certainly some truth in this, but I wonder if she even recognises this in herself.

I agree. This is exactly what I hoped would happen, as it demonstrates respect for Lily, whilst highlighting social expectations as regards appropriate behaviour and boundaries. At 20, it can only be beneficial for Lily to be more mature and to show consideration for others, as it is way past the time she should have been taught these skills. Perhaps in doing this, Hanah will inadvertently help Lily to develop the friendships she seems to have been yearning for.

This is so true. They all talk about each other in the house, just like we all are guilty of talking about others in real life, and just as we are all talking about the housemates here. It’s how human beings operate in order to either gain understanding of others, for validation or for support. It’s just human nature.

I purposefully used some for that reason, because I certainly don't think all. In all honesty, it was more of a comment regarding the FB and X fanbase rather than here. It's amazing how different the experience is on different platforms.

Some of the takes out there are wild, especially on FB which seems the worst. I do think that there are many in the BB viewer base that think this way.

But, for sure, I am always ready to accept that some have fair and valid views on her, even if they aren't fans

Cheers for your response, Vesuvius, and for not taking any offence at what I said, as afterwards I questioned whether it might come across as criticism. I thought that you made some really important and insightful observations, which I didn’t want to be disregarded by those who make the decision to divert by taking offence when they see the opportunity.

I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts, even on those occasions when our perceptions might have differed, as your thought process is always clear, and your points are well-considered. The impression I get is that, like Hanah, you have the courage of your convictions.

Ali will never admit or own up to anything,as she is a professional victim.

Hanah stood her ground, and her feelings were valid .she had every right to say what she said, and she most definitely was used as a pawn ( I'm laughing at how Hanah kept saying pond though ) , she knew what Ali & Dean were doing.

Notice how Ali doesn't confront Hanah,I knew she'd run away. Ali knows she'll lose against Hanah in argument.
