Christianity acknowledges mysticism but it also tends to suggest getting as far away as possible from it. From that POV, Jenny would be understandably spooked.

In the US, traditional religion is brought in by dabblers all the time.

Catholicism in the Hispanic world more openly embraces mysticism. Thus there are a higher number of converts to a religion like Santeria, where the saints are still heavily worshipped alongside Orishas. So yes, still witchcraft.
