Default Christmas: turkey or goose?

In an ideal world, what would you rather have?

Turkey every time

Though my wonderful wife won’t cook turkey as the family all prefer to have chicken and lamb as the two options ..and turkey is so expensive ..

Sooo as a compromise we buy some turkey sliced turkey to appease me .. it’s lovely on butties

We had goose one year as Mr C used to have goose as a child....never again, its very dark and greasy meat, hence goose fat for potatoes!

It’ll be a charcuterie board for me this Christmas.

I’m not a massive turkey fan anyway. It’s average at best.

It's Christmas, you have Turkey.

I'm not a fan of December but I'm not doing Christmas in May

Nah, Turkey is overrated. Plus we live in a free world.

Can’t recall the last time I had it.

Turkey-wings (especially within certain cultural-cuisine contexts) are always a hit with me. I haven’t had as much of the thighs that haven’t been part of a Christmas-bird. I need to change that and maybe make some confit with them one day. Maybe with goose fat.

First jam, now goose. Flaming ada. To me, life’s better with those-two things in it. Not sure why you’re trying to delete the goods just-because you feel they’re a bit old-fashioned.
