There are multiple reasons for no statements made, the most obvious being she or her PR team didn't see the point.

I agree that Cheryl should not comment especially seeing as the self defence claims sound like a load of bull, but it happened, she was convicted and now miraculously she's the nations sweetheart. Its amazing what top class PR can do. People will not let this go until Cheryl makes some kind of statement but it looks like she cant because she knows she was completely in the wrong.
