I don't believe this statement. I don't think beliefs should be forced on people, and I don't think people should HAVE to accept beliefs.... I just don't think you should be blatently disrespectfull to peoples beliefs, mainly because it is just plain rude.

And what if I find some of the beliefs outlined in the Koran 'rude' ... to put it lightly?

I'm sure I'm going to be burning myself in hell for an eternity. Are you telling me I can't burn a book for five minutes?

I guess you could burn a book for five minutes, if you were to feel thats the best way you could express your views... however, I also think it's common courtesy and respect to do this in private, and not go boasting about it on facebook knowing it will hurt individuals. I also think this applies to Muslims etc. who do the same.

If ones personal belief that another belief is obcene then one has a perfect right to disrespect that belief........To pretend to respect another belief when you don't is hypocritical........

No one can go through life not offending or being offended........It's impossible.......But that is what the mad brigade political correctness nutters think is possible......

I thought Koran was a country for a sec, I was like 'What a legend, burning a country by himself at that age.'

Maybe I'm not expressing my views very well, I guess you can diasagree with peoples views, although this should be done in a respectfull way. For example, a debate on the Qur'an rather than burning it and bragging about burning it.

Thats a good point - however, the Koran is a holy book that is the backbone of many peoples lifes; people interpret it in different ways (some, in unjustifiable ways) but I don't think it is right to burn it and brag about it. Do we really need more religious hatred?

I know you could say now that I am not giving it full respect saying some interpretations are 'unjustifiable' but I think in situations like this it is good to use some common sense as to what is 'moral' as such.

The word HOLY in bold.......Dear oh dear. When one uses the word HOLY it has the same meaning as SINISTER. HOLY controls peoples minds........It's evil in its most profound form........One should do nothing else but disrespect evil.......

Judas, the Quran is not a Holy book. Why is it Holy, just because someone says it is? It's just a fictional book, nothing else.

And as for the girl, it's a shame that her acts got her that attention, but I'm not suprised. Can't be having Muslims offended now can we!

I love this quote:

"To most Christians, the Bible is like a software license. Nobody actually reads it. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree".

We got a free bible each in assembly in about year 7 or 8 or something so had a bible fight in the yard (similar to a snowball fight but with bibles instead). The teachers found it funny (but still attempted to stop us and put some people in detention) but the RE teachers weren't impressed

That's one of the most ignorant posts I've seen on here, Of course intergration helps. Look at South Africa, granted it's still quite dangerous in places but it's in a much better position then it was under apartheid. That's just one example I can think of on the top of my head. Another example could be America in the 40's-60's where segregation was rife, that didn't help much either.
