Why not? A nineteen year old for example is old enough to be married, have children but you think they shouldn't take curtains down?

FFS, how often do you change the size of your curtains?

Or do you measure them every time they're washed.

Taking down curtains and measuring them is drastically different to changing the tyre of a car.

I didn't mean changing the tyre of a car - I mean choosing a new set of wheels and tyres to buy which will fit your car from the dozens (possibly hundreds) of different combinations of size and design available to you .....

That is what garages and mechanic uncles are for.
