Where is the evidence for this though, I really don't think that any Big Brother fan could have missed the news of it's return unless they were basically living under a rock. If you had any remote interest in Big Brother you would have seen the story in the papers, on the telly, on the internet etc.
2 or 3 weeks is plenty to start building awareness and attracting interest, it'd be pointless and wasteful to drag this out over the period of 2 months with little eye flashes or whatever

Like i said it was fine to do the odd eyeflash 3 weeks before like on Channel 4 but its Channel 5's first series and most of the people in the country have NO IDEA bb is coming back.

was big news, and not just around BB fans.
Where else do you suggest they advertise? They can only work within their means and it's an unfortunate fact that Channel 5 do not have a large platform to promote the show
