Well for example, I think Dezzy was simply using a turn of phrase that she didn't mean exactly as it was written down, and you did sort of just reduce her argument down and end all discussion.

*Although, I don't know Dezzy (and have never had a conversation with her), and she may well have meant that she literally "detests" those people, but I somehow doubt it.
