he was definitely racist. that doesn't mean he was a bad person though. All the founding fathers of the US were racist, that doesn't mean they were bad though.

I'm sure everyone here has parents that have said sexist, or homophopbic or racist things, that doesn't mean they are evil people.

Being racist doesn't automatically make you a bad person.

There are plenty of really good and kind and awesome racist people in the world. you can't define someone's worth based on just one aspect.
