Yep, he certainly sounds like a good DAD...I have 10 kids [5 of each, between 64 and 46] and love every one of them the same!...And the whole point of our lives is to love our babies as much as we can...that's what we're here for!
I grew up when a black man was 'a darkie' and the only ones we saw in Barnsley were the ones that we loved , like Paul Robeson [my favouriite singer] and the comical ones like Rochester , or the savage beasts like on the Tarzan films...In the 40's when I first became aware of gay people [queers as they were called the] we thought that they were as funny as hell...but was secretly scared of them...it was a lack of education about homosexuality I suppose,...but though we would joke about the ones that we thought was gay...I was never knowingly cruel to any of them that I came across! [perhaps I did upset one or two...but honestly not by intention]...because of the war...I freely admit to being xenophobic toward 'The Germans...and The Italians for many years...but I suspect that you can understand that , that was caused by circumstance!
Also,...I freely admit that I am probably what you would call a male chauvinist, in as much as I would love the world to turn back the years to when the Man went out to work to provide for his family that was being looked after by their mother at home! ....Not to dominate or enslave as many young people would preach that it was ...but to be a happy normal loving family like it used to be!
Sure...you could probably cite a few examples of where this wasn't the case,...and you'd be right,[there's always been a few bastards...pardon my french.] but then the world's never been perfect...and is everyone that is living the modern life happy??
There's lots more,...but I don't want to bore you,...so i'll finish by saying your Dad will always love you...even if you think he is wrong to be himself and the product of his age and upbringing ! ...and you take gameshows too seriously. ..:
