I was quite impressed! For a film that has such prestige it lived up to high expectations. For a person whose favourite films are amongst Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Clueless, etc. crime films are actually my guilty pleasure

At first I wasn't too sure if I was going to like the film. It normally frustrates me when I can't understand the plot or get a clear idea on the basic structure and what may happen, and there were some random moments I didn't really get what was going on. However, it's definitely one of those films that you come to appreciate once it has finished.

I had already watched the ending of the film before even know what the film was about since I was ware of how famous the end scene was. I'm sorta sad that I did know what was going to happen at the end but it was still amazing nonetheless. It was such a clever idea, and I don't think plot twists were that prominent back in the 80's (I may be completely wrong, lmao). My heart literally skipped a beat when Kujan dropped his mug and realised he'd told lies based on the reports on the wall.

The acting was good. It was pretty cool to see Stephen Baldwin, as all I cold think about afterwards was 'omg he was in Celebrity Big Brother'. Kevin Spacey was fantastic, but he's pretty fantastic in any film. This may have just cemented Spacey as one of my all-time favourite male actors tbh.

Everything from the boat scene playing out onwards was amazing. I still can't believe Verbal was Keyser Soze, like I saw it coming but when the detective said Keaton may have been him it kind of threw me off a little. Keyser Soze as a character actually scared me a little bit

edit: Ooh I forgot the rating.

I will give The Usual Suspects 8/10
Spoiler:

Mean Girls to be the next Classic Movie (That would literally be soooo fetch!)

It's interesting that it was your first watch yet you knew the twist, and you still enjoyed it (and the mug dropping moment still had a kick). I remember thinking the first time I watched it that it would have taken a lot of the enjoyment away if I had have known about it.
