IS your eyes being totally ****ed in the morning just a normal thing for us old folk??

I have always had 20/20 eyesight and I still do for most of the day... except like the first hour or so where my vision is blurry AF?? Reading on screens is especially challenging . But it goes away after a while so it can't just be my overall eyesight surely . Is this some sort of common affliction for the aged OR am I going to end up needing glasses? Because I don't think I would suit glasses + don't want them

Glasses are fine Prof TS.

Update for those horrible concerned for my eye health:

My left eye is ****ED UP, I have conjunctivitis and it's horrible . I've never had it before. I'm ashamed to go out in public... my eye is all swollen shut at the bottom, bright red, and watering constantly. And my depth perception is broken. I'm not happy about this at all.

This sounds like a trick . Like when I was 13 and I sarcastically told a girl in a chatroom that you could get rid of verucas by burning them and she actually did it . I still feel sort of guilty about that.

OK since TiBB is my main source of medical knowledge and google has actually been useless for this:

Today my eye feels a bit better, is less teary, and my vision is better... but it LOOKS worse than ever (more red and the surrounding area is puffy). What is going on? Is it improving or is it just travelling along my optic nerve to give me meningitis?

Warm damp flannels lightly pressed on them to keep them clean, dark glasses to rest them and do not under any circumstances use the same flannels, towels etc as anyone else.
Try resting the eyes as well, as in shutting them and chilling.

It's just one eye still, luckily it hasn't spread. Though I think I have eyestrain in the other eye from it compensating as I could barely see out of the left one yesterday .
