To me it looked as though he was throwing all of his toys out of the pram because he wasn't getting the support from the public that he expected, being in the bottom two. He didn't like feeling as though he was lower than everyone else, so deliberately belittled Iain and made sure that he knew that he was "inferior" to him, which is what Amir believes.
