I think I heard that Courtney spends 2 hours applying her makeup etc. If I spent that much time, I may even look quite good

Yes and she has - just like Betty Swollocks has stolen it.

That's true. I think a lot of people took that as being a derogatory comparison, drag queens are the same as clowns, but both do use costumes as part of their entertainment and I think that's what she was getting at with the comparison (I'd also say that there's nothing wrong with being a clown so it's not necessarily an insult if it's not meant in that way but anyway). It's also telling that Courtney doesn't seem to have taken an issue with any of this when I think it's fair to say that he'd probably have had a conversation with her about it if he did, considering he talked to Ann about his issues with her views on gay rights.

It depends really. Her look is pretty typical of what a lot of white American drag queens try to achieve. In the UK and Australia it’s always been a beer more exaggerated and over the top.

From what we have seen though, Courtney does not seem to take issue with anything. Shane sat and listened to the whole 'gay rights' thing from Ann and did not take issue, he simply said that it important that all opinions are heard. So refreshing. Courtney/Shane seem very live and let live. Shame India is not more like that tbh

India said she had a phobia and was then hugging Courtney for the camera, saying we are going to be besties etc. If you have a genuine phobia, how could you do that. It was the full on Courtney at that point too

My interpretation is that it is most certainly not a phobia

Some of the humor in drag is the fact that the person underneath the wig and makeup is actually a man. It's not uncommon for trans women to dislike drag because they feel it undermines and/or mocks the struggles trans women go through when they transition. They're also probably resentful of the fact that the public often (wrongfully) categorizes them as being the same.

I'm sure India has a lot of complicated feelings on drag, none of which she's able to understand or articulate into words. So she says she has a "phobia" because it's simpler.

I don't know I'm just making an assumption, but I presumed that the reason he brought it up with Ann in the first place was because he disagreed with her views and wanted to discuss and counter them, as great as he was during their chat that's basically what he was doing, so I just would have thought he'd do the same with India and her views if he felt it was necessary.

He HAS brought up the 'drag-phobia' thing though. And has spoke about it a few times when India started the conversations Thought you meant as he has not outright said he has a problem with it.

Oh well then I've completely missed something in that case :/ I know it's been mentioned but it's seemed very off the cuff, almost jokingly referencing it, I just got the impression that he specifically wanted to sit down with Ann and have a discussion about her views to highlight them and provide a counter and I haven't noticed that with him and India but it's possible I've just missed something, or yes I could have misread the situation entirely, that's just the impression I got and the assumption I made from it.

It's not fear. It's a cry for attention. Sad thing is it's working.

Normally, yes, but not when confronted with things that make her uncomfortable. I've never seen her engage in a debate without fleeing from the room and burying herself under a duvet. That's not how someone who can articulate their feelings behaves.
