Scarlett.
25-03-2011, 09:54 PM
Nah, she left as a normal character, she didn't need a giant exit :p

bbfan1991
25-03-2011, 09:57 PM
I'm enjoying this Tracy we're seeing at the moment..

I still can't help but think that Katherine Kelly will leave Corrie at some point to try other roles, she's been given almost the same material to work with again as Becky which is a shame really:(.

Kerry

Scarlett.
08-04-2011, 09:52 PM
Kylie is awesome, Becky is boring compared to her xD

I like Kirk, so what if he doesn't have any massive storylines, not every person in the street needs to be an accidental serial killing rapist/arsonist

Chewy regarding the latest Becky/Tracy spoiler..

I actually think Tracy is innocent this time and isn't poisoning Amy as Beckeh suspects, although nothing has been confirmed..

I mean Kirk should have something to do other than being a spare part..

Scarlett.
08-04-2011, 11:02 PM
I agree, Tracy is a cow, but by no means would she ever hurt Amy

joeysteele

Awwww I thought Rita would actually understand

She is a strong character in Corrie, she likely would have understood easier had she known from the start but Rita has always hated being taken for a fool.
Good acting tonight though.

The character Rita hates to be taken as a fool, I think she reacted the way I expected once Norris said they've taken you for a fool.
She has been fighting Tina's corner since the false break up so she would be all over the place once being told and realising all was a sham realising how stupid she had been..

I actually meant the overall acting last night though, I don't like the character but the actress who plays Kylie was really good last night and had me grinning as she was praising Gail, mockingly of course..

Scarlett.
09-04-2011, 11:42 AM
Kylie is the bitch Corrie has needed, she's nasty, but its easy to see why

bbfan1991

Kylie is the bitch Corrie has needed, she's nasty, but its easy to see why

Once you scratch the surface I think she's a very vulnerable person with lots of issues..

She gets it from Beckeh;), the most repetitive cartoon character of Weatherfield..

He wore the flatcap, so then the police would think it's one of the Emmerdale lot ;)

Nah, he'd need a getaway tractor for that

Scarlett.
11-04-2011, 07:20 PM
lol, someone made a good point about the facemask, for that to be a success, he would have needed to run in and demand it, for that he needed a group, Jim wanted to be in and out with no trouble, so he decided taking the mundane approach would be better, unfortunately, it failed anyway

Kerry
11-04-2011, 07:26 PM
He should know all banks, infact businesses, have secret alarms to the police though the dozy sod. You could smack our alarms with your knee and get armed response  Trouble is, very easy to do by accident :joker:

joeysteele
11-04-2011, 08:17 PM
Armed robbery carries at least a 7 to 12 year custodial, the good thing is that although the act was pre-meditated.no one got hurt, no shots were fired and he gave himself up(albeit with little choice).
He will get the book thrown at him but is likely to,if it follows legal guidelines, get a maximum 10 years custodial which means he could get out in 5 or 6 years.
Had he fired the gun, even not harming anyone still, the fact he discharged the weapon would add near add a further three quarters to the sentence or even double it.

Personally with the character Liz leaving the series I thought he may be going to kill himself.

Scarlett.

Personally with the character Liz leaving the series I thought he may be going to kill himself.Aye, thats what I assumed it would be, he was quite co-operative with the police, all he wanted was to talk with his wife before he was sent down.

Kerry
11-04-2011, 08:25 PM
Nah, they can't kill old Jim off. He and Liz are Corrie legends :) I admit I have a love/hate relationship with both characters but would hate to see either killed off

joeysteele
11-04-2011, 08:33 PM
Aye, thats what I assumed it would be, he was quite co-operative with the police, all he wanted was to talk with his wife before he was sent down.

However without mitigation and in his case there are really no mitigating circumstances,he could feel the full weight of the law which for armed robbery, even if no one was hurt is a minimum of 15 years.

He did cooperate as you say,he did keep relatively calm, he didn't try to run and resist arrest,he disarmed himself, let the people in the Bank out, all of them, he didn't keep one as a hostage.
Now if he does,(clearly he will), plead guilty, thereby saving court time, then he may, depending on the Judge he gets, get some credits for that.

Scarlett.
11-04-2011, 08:42 PM
He could probably pin some of the trouble on his old army days

Just plain camp that episode was.

But if TracyLuv can get out after 3 and half years for cold blooded murder I wouldn't worry Jim.

bbfan1991
12-04-2011, 10:12 AM
Really disappointed with Jim's exit:(, gutted we won't see him and Liz again although that final scene was brilliant:). Grr why did it have to be linked to the mess that tramp Becky has caused?

Disliking this Frank plot now and only Carla/Alison King is the best part about it for me..

Tracy's subtle small scenes at the moment are good too:).

Scarlett.
14-04-2011, 08:37 PM

Isn't Frank going out with Tracey though. Please I hope they don't start another triangle or affair with Carla. Not only that but she mustn't share the same scenes with Kate Ford, Alison King is better than that.

I like the actress that plays Maria but have not liked any storyline she has had. Far too over the top. A shame really.

In normal circumstances the Police would not want to push this one, its hard enough to get rape trials never mind attempted rape. However if a complaint is made ,it has to run its course.

There were no witnesses, she went to his house, covered the fact she was going there to her live in boyfriend, she said nothing straight off.

If she thinks things are bad now she aint seen anything until she is in that witness box being torn apart by defence Barristers.

Well she walks into most of these situations, I mean for gods sake she went out with the man WHO WALKED INTO HER LIVING ROOM WITH A BELT AROUND HIS HANDS, raises the alarm bells a little tbh when a person you suspect of killing your husband does that and right now she's going out with a KNOWN WIFEBEATER.

She's either completely dumb or loves drama.

I haven't like the John Stape storylines and thought it all far fetched and way over the top, even in soapland, but his acting was decidedly better in the last 2 episodes.

As for Maria, sadly she hasn'r really worked since coming back into it again, time for another stay at the in-laws in Ireland or something. She,well, her character seems to have no real connection now to the street.

No, bits from the Street too but hardly worth watching. I suppose it deserves a watch if people are coming back. Otherwise, complete mess
