Nah, disagree. They had a half and a bit to do something and they didn't show the poise or craft to change the game when they had numerous opportunities to do so. That's the difference. Nani was desperately poor on the day and Giggs continually proves his ongoing worth to the team with his sharp mind and ability to try and create chances. Valencia is a good solid winger but Nani really flatters to deceive, and lets not forget how much he cost and how long he's been there.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will not be rushing into the transfer market any time soon, despite the announcement of the largest annual turnover ever recorded by a British football club.

The London club published their accounts for the 12 months up until May 31, 2009 and after tax they recorded a profit of £35m. This figure includes the sales of apartments in the old Highbury stadium.

The huge profit, did not include the sales of Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure to Manchester City for a combined fee of £42m. As a result, speculation is rife that Wenger has close to £80m to spend.

However, Arsenal’s manager said yesterday, in a press conference before the Champions League game with Olympiakos tonight: "It is true there is money and people reproach me for not losing money. It is not a personal thing, it is just that I have a squad strong enough to compete."
