Reminded me of this goal, how it just curled away from the goal keepers fingers..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OOdkmaIIac

And Tony Adams has changed his tune!
Start of the season,
Arsenal can't really win anything without adding at least 2 - 3 new players to the squad.
They will struggle to hold onto 4th. And wont win a trophy, now he says we have what it takes to win champions league if we can play well, can win a british trophy and we should qualify for cl next season lol.

One game and means nothing, Liverpool had some good chances.. Means nothing.

Same with Rangers, still 4 games left... But Rangers get smashed at home, even though they got a goal the result is shocking! At home!

Liverpool
Arsenal
Scum Utd
Chelsea

Will all get through to the next stage.. Rangers i don't know..

Hard group lyon no pushovers, you will have to play full team every game could make them tired.

Arsenal chase Atletico Madrid wonderkid Keko, Spain's 'new Fernando Torres'

Arsenal are set to swoop for young Atletico Madrid striker Keko, dubbed 'the new Fernando Torres' in Spain.

Arsene Wenger is trailing the 17-year-old Spanish youth international, who is still on amateur terms at Atletico.

Wenger's scouts have already nabbed Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida while both were youth players at Barcelona, so to land another of Spain's most highly-rated youngsters would prove a real coup for the Gunners.

Pacy attacker Keko has already featured in La Liga for his club and can also play on the wing

I hope Usmanov buys more..

Usmanov, has offered to pay the players wages for the season and give "unlimited" transfer funds.

The ref in the Real vs Marsielle game was ****..

Someone took out ronaldo.. but got the ball first, not a little touch it made a 90 degree change in direction yet a penalty and second yellow was given.

so at 1 - 0 down they conceeded a penalty and got a plyer sent off.

People thought that they might not click this season, but look like they are mounting a good title challenge.

And andy should be happy.
The 3 people named at the end of the fifa advert that was just on was Walcott, Rooney and Cahill

Arsenal's Wenger gun for Keko & Nigel Reo-Coker

Arsenal have been linked with moves for Atletico Madrid striker Keko and Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker.

Keko, 17, has been dubbed the 'new Fernando Torres' in Spain and he has already made his La Liga debut.

However, the Spanish youth international is currently on an amateur contract and has yet to sign professional terms with Atletico.

As well as bolstering his attacking options, Arsene Wenger wants to add experience to his midfield and sees Reo-Coker as a cut-price option.

The 25-year-old has fallen out of favour at Villa Park and is reportedly keen on a move back to London.

Tottenham are also thought to be interested in the former England U21 international.

Villa manager Martin O'Neill paid West Ham £8.5 million for Reo-Coker back in July 2007 and will want to recoup as much of that sum as possible.

However, the player's contract expires in 18 months time, at which point he can leave for nothing, so Villa may agree a £3m January sale.

defensive midfield, michael essien (mr ghana)
right midfield, aaron lennon (come up with a couple of importent goals for spurs, and a man of the match for england)
left midfield, darren fletcher (out of posistion, but deserve's a spot in the team)
attacking midfield, cesc fabragas (just love watching him play football, a genius, very, very underated)
up front, wayne rooney (for obvious reasons)
up front, fernando torres (it was a toss up between him and defoe)

Andy gray is often a dick towards arsenal to, he was before the season started especially.

My team so far this season would be..

Goalkeeper - Given - I think hes overated with how everyone says hes best in pl and sometimes in the world, but he has had some great games this season.

Right Back - Johnson - Started well goal scoring still not the best defensively but i think he has improved vastly just from playing for a better team.

Left Back - A.Cole - Very on his game right now, no one better in the league at least.

Centre Back - Vermaelen - Unquestionably one of the best buys of the season at 10m has found his place well in the Arsenal squad and hasn't failed to perform as of yet, and is also scoring.

Centre Back - Gallas - Perfect Partnership with Vermaelen they have made a great connection and could be great together, hes also performing on top of his game.

Centre Midfield - Gerrard - Performing great as per usual.

Right Centre Midfield - Fabregas - Linking play, and playmaker ability has been amazing so far, reads the game so well for someone so young.

Left Centre Midfield - Lampard - Like gerrard just doing what he does.. Performing amazingly at both club and internaional level.

Left Attacker/Winger - Arshavin - When he plays he makes a difference love watching him play, his low centre of gravity makes him change direction so well hes just amazing to watch.

Right Attacker/Winger - Rooney - Prefers more central role but still plays great either side asset to any team with contant world class performances.

Central Attacker - Drogba/Torres/Adebayor - All 3 possibly having the best seasons they have ever had, all scoring regularly and in general just playing amazing.
Other than Adebayors ban..

--------------------Given----------------
Johnson-Vermaelen-Gallas-A.Cole
---Fabregas---Gerrard---Lampard---
-------Rooney-----------Arshavin-------
---------Torres/Drogba/Adebyaor------

Bench would include

Cech
Terry
Ferdinand
Essien
Ballack
Bennayoun
Bent
Defoe

first of Given is not over rated but under rated very silly comment 30stone:nono:

Gerrard hasn't been that great

Lampard as well has been under par

Torres by far has been the best striker so far

Your team is good 30stone but it doesn't have enough natural width -too many similar type players who have a tendency to drift infield. The only width is really your fullbacks and I couldn't see Fabregas or Lampard chasing back for cover, you kno?

And Arsenals back line has been conceding so I wouldn't have them there right now.

Gerrard

Torres, Adebayor

Subs:
Jensen [Burnley keeper... if only he had a better defence.]
Shawcross

-Xavi says it would be a dream for Fabregas to return to barca sooner rather than later. Saying he has "barca DNA"

-Fabregas has had again to shrug off the rumors.. "I want to win things here and I'm very comfortable with Arsenal. I love London, it's a great city, it's like my house, it's really good."

-Wenger has stated that Samir Nasri will be fit to play birmingham after the internaional break!

-Wenger yesterday became the longest serving manager in Arsenals history.

-Arsenal and tottenham look to renew their interest in Viera after he threatens to quit Inter.

-People think wenger should give others a chnace to take free kicks over van persie just so there is pressure on him to improve as he has not scored in a long time and if wenger was to give others a chance over him, he would try harder to get his free kicks spot on.

-Arsenal have been linked with moves for Atletico Madrid striker Keko.
Keko, 17, has been dubbed the ‘new Fernando Torres’ in Spain and he has already made his La Liga debut.

- Thierry Henry: I will return to Arsenal
Thierry Henry has said he wants to return to Arsenal one day and hopefully work with Arsene Wenger again.

He said: "I'm trying to finish what I started nearly 15 years ago but we will see. I always said you go back to where you belong. I never stopped saying I love Arsenal and I will one day go back there.

"How? I don't now. Maybe as a water boy. Who knows? I just love the club and eventually one day I will go back for sure.

"It was always a pleasure to play and train with Wenger. He is a great human being on top of everything. I'll be honest, I really don't see Arsenal without Wenger.

"Before I came to Arsenal I was very down but Arsene Wenger was there and he knows how the game should be played and the rest, as they say, is history.

"He only knows how much time he invested in me and many others. I still talk to him and watch Arsenal on TV."

Very poor and misleading argument. He was a kid when he was there and left after two seasons where they didn't fall into relegation battle and was still only 21 at the time. Matured into a great centre-back and won player of the year with Man City for 4 years in a row, and part of that time was spent playing alongside Distin, a player now on the Everton books.

Who did you expect everton to play at center back if we never brought distin? exactly. thats why distin was so necessary that and the fact he is a quality player and better then dunne

Better than Dunne? Are you mad in the head? Why did Dunne win player of the year 4 years in a row at Man City then? Why was he Moyes' first choice as a replacement to Lescott?

Didn't distin win the fa cup with pompey thought so. what did dunne ever do at man city fck all! zilth zero Nil!

And why did he win player off the year 4 years in a row... ermm maybe because there whole squad was shite and full off bellends like joey barton

That still doesn't counter myargument on the merits of Dunne. Three times he beat Distin to player of the year for Man City. The had a great partnership and Moyes was keen on signing Dunne first. When he couldn't get him he opted for Distin. I think that there's enough evidence there to suggest that Dunne is up there with the best in the country.

Cups are irrelevant to this discussion. Boudewijn Zenden won a Champions League winners medal so does that mean he's far superior to Arshavin or Lampard?

Dunne - Average and gets sent off way too much.
Distin - Ok but has been overrated for years.

Fernando Torres has been named as the Premier League Player of the Month for September and Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson took the manager award.

Liverpool striker Torres scored five goals last month, including a hat-trick in his team's 6-1 demolition of Hull.

The Spaniard is the league's top scorer with eight goals so far this season.

Ferguson receives his award after steering the Red Devils to the top of the Premier League, winning every game during September.

Torres is a very special player indeed

EFC
Surprisingly, it is only the second time that Torres has won the accolade; Ferguson, in contrast, has been named Manager of the Month 24 times during his time at Old Trafford.

United have won every game since their surprise defeat by Burnley earlier in the season and are now leading Chelsea on goal difference at the top of the table.

Liverpool are third having scored the most goals in the Premier League, with Torres in red-hot form.

United just had a bad day at the office, that's all. Terrible first half display but came out well in the second half, with Berbie scoring and absolute peach. Sunderlands second goal knocked the stuffing out of United though and the team really didn't play apart from Berbatov.
