But thats how big Sam plays. Just get loads of massive dudes and hack the hell out of the opposing team

Elmander looked good for a little period last year but has been pretty poor. They spent like 11m on him as well.

Why do you feel sorry for him? He's injured, otherwise he's first choice. He's only JUST got back from injury lol.

He has been fit for ages I thought
He was at one point
Gordons come out before saying hes frustrated that hes no.2
Lauren
22-08-2009, 10:50 PM
He came back for literally one game, was about to play (in a wear tyne derby last season actually), then got injured AGAIN in training.
He's only been no. 2 for like 3 games, at most, then he gets injured just as he's about to be put on team. He's the fans first choice, he's still thought of as first choice, no one really trusts Fulop.
Lauren
22-08-2009, 10:51 PM
Infact I just checked, he's been uninjured for 2 weeks, but not match fit. He hasn't expressed anything about being unhappy, because he knows he's first choice.
King Gizzard
22-08-2009, 10:51 PM
Didnt have a good start today and doesnt seem like uch of a confidence boost to the defenders
I was annoyed when you signed him just over us, he didnt even bother coming to visit VP..wonder if he wish he had now

Liverpool & Arsenal interested in signing Rafael van der Vaart.
Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart could be heading to either Arsenal or Liverpool, according to a report in Spanish newspaper AS today.
The Dutch international has made it clear that he will only consider offers from teams in England or Germany as he looks set to leave Real Madrid before the end of the summer transfer window.
Van der Vaart has reportedly already rejected offers from Holland, Italy and Turkey and would either like a new challenge in the Premier League or a return to the Bundesliga where he played for Hamburg.
Real Madrid have slapped an asking price of 12 million euros on Van der Vaart, which may be beyond Liverpool. Arsenal are expected to bid seven million euros for the former Ajax playmaker.
Los Blancos may negotiate as they have done with a number of players this summer, including Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Alvaro Negredo.
Not bad, 7m for a world class player whos 26. Just because he will be unused at madrid.
Jayson
23-08-2009, 11:48 AM
He would be good at Arsenal, hopefully we get him, and a player of his kalibre for just 7m is a bargain.

Everton are to “demand a Premier League probe” into claims Manchester City “tapped up’ Joleon Lescott.
Chris claiming the Merseyside club finally relented and agreed to sell the England International to City on Saturday night for £22million, but intend to complain about what they consider an illegal approach by the Citizens for Lescott.
It said officials from the Toffees have put together a dossier on the matter, which they feel will leave their free-spending Premiership rivals with a case to answer.
Everton manager David Moyes insistent, that Mark Hughes’ side should face punishment for their relentless pursuit to lure Lescott to the Eastlands Stadium from Goodison Park, with the Scot feeling City’s chase of the defender has had a negative effect on the blue half of Merseyside.
“It has had an adverse affect on the squad because Joleon’s attitude has been so poor,” Moyes is quoted as saying.
“I would always have preferred to have kept him, because he’s a good player who can play two positions.”
Apparently he wants 10million compensation and a point deduction, its what they said on sky sports
22- 24m he will go for, wonder if everton will use the money or keep it.

THEO WALCOTT
August 20
Theo Walcott missed Arsenal's first-leg against Celtic with a back injury that he sustained on international duty and he will miss the Gunners' Premier League fixture against Portsmouth. "There is a slight concern [over Walcott's back injury] but we believe it is a question of days and not of weeks," Wenger said. "We will see [if he is fit to face Manchester United next Saturday]. It is always difficult to set a date. I thought he would be available for Celtic, I thought he would be available for Everton, but he wasn't. That's why we will be cautious."
SAMIR NASRI
August 20
Arsène Wenger is hopeful that Samir Nasri will be available in October. "Samir Nasri will be three-and-a-half weeks now [before he recovers]. But it will be six or seven weeks until he is available for training," said the boss. Samir broke his leg during a training session in Austria in July.
TOMAS ROSICKY
August 20
Tomas missed the Valencia game with a hamstring problem and will miss the start of the season. "Tomas Rosicky is two weeks away,” said Wenger.
JOHAN DJOUROU
August 20
Johan has picked up a knee injury and will be out until September. "Johan has a knee problem that will take some time to cure - one month," said Wenger.
LUKASZ FABIANSKI
August 20
Lukasz has had surgery to cure a knee problem. "Lukasz has had a cartilage surgery," confirmed Wenger. "He will be out for two months.
Although Physioroom and Arsenal.com dont have aything about it they said on sky sports that he was out 6 - 7 weeks. (Fabregas)

But wekindado need Van der vaart right now..
The 2 people who could be played as centre attacking midfielders nasri and fabregas are both out.
With Arshaving having to fill rosickys left wing.

O'Neill to move for Jenas?
Sunday 23 Aug 2009
Aston Villa are in the market for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas, according to reports.
NOOOO PLEASE DONT DO THIS TO US MON. JENAS IS ****!!!
Villa have suffered a torrid start to the new season, losing to both Wigan in the Premier League and Rapid Vienna in the Europa League.
Jermaine Jenas Tottenham Hotspur 2008/09 profile size
JERMAINE JENAS
Martin O'Neill has identified the departure of Gareth Barry to Manchester City as a problem and is looking to Jenas to fill that hole.
Jenas has struggled to find first-team football at White Hart Lane under Harry Redknapp and may be looking to move on.
He joined Spurs in 2005 from Newcastle United and has also played for Nottingham Forest.
