That scene was perfectly acted, and perfectly done, and Danny Dyer is one of few who could get away with the Nancy line.

Perfect, they're a much needed family who I feel will save this show during 2014, it was so poor in recent months.

The Carter's are a breath of fresh air that the show needs. I'm not too sure on Nancy but she'll probably grow on me.

Before Christmas, I thought EastEnders was getting **** until the Carters came in.

The scene which everyone is kicking off about genuinely saved the show in my opinion. This storyline is what will win EastEnders awards at the Soap Awards, I think.

Anyone who says it was 'badly acted' must be blind. The entire scene has put a new light on the show and I disliked Dyer at first, but now, I think he (along with the rest of the Carters) have saved the show from going down the drain.

There was nothing wrong with the scene OR the acting.

I'm still not liking Nancy or Linda but I will eventually warm to them. But from what I have read, Johnny (Sam Strike) won't be sticking around for too long.

I really hope the people who are so blind right now see what an incredible story they are trying to tell.

To be fair, I'm sure many genuinely thought he acted it well. I've never had anything like that and still thought the acting was reasonably on point. Not award-winning obviously but the only particularly 'off' thing was the OTT crying bit.

I'm really enjoying the show at the moment, it has improved in such a short time now DTC is back in charge and because of a few changes behind the scenes.

The Carters have made a good impression on me already, think they are a breath of fresh air and that the show needed some new blood.

I like judging from the interview with the Producer that he has lots of plans lined up for different characters, so there is lots of more exciting stuff to come.

I hope that Ronnie gets away with killing Carl too, but I cannot wait for my favourite ever character Stacey Slater to return and because Lacey Turner is an amazing Actress:).

EastEnders bosses have announced that Matt Di Angelo is returning to the soap.

The actor will return to filming in February in his role as Deano Wicks, the estranged son of Shirley Carter (Linda Henry).

Deano last appeared on screen in February 2008, when he left Walford after experiencing a tough time in prison.

Shirley currently believes that her son is working in a bar in Australia. However, she will be shocked later this year when her father Stan (Timothy West) informs her that Deano is now going by the name of Dean and is much closer to home.

Speaking of his EastEnders return, Di Angelo commented: "It's such an exciting time for the show and the Carter/Wicks family that I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to reprise the role of Dean! I'm looking forward to getting back on the Square."

EastEnders' executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins added: "Matt is a gorgeous, charming, talented actor and it's fantastic that he's agreed to come back to the Square. Deano left angry with his mother. The Dean who returns is angrier. Shirley has been secretly hoping for her son's return. Let's hope she doesn't regret that."

Di Angelo has starred in a number of TV dramas since leaving EastEnders, including Hustle, Borgia and Death in Paradise.

Yesterdays episode was fantastic with Phil finally being honest for once to Sharon and confessing about what Ronnie did to Carl and the cover up, plus Phil telling her about his involvement in Dennis' death:o.

Masood exploding to Shabnam was great too and I was like ooh when he swigged the beer out of the can, this is the start of his dark storyline and I can see Shabnam being redeemed at some point, but for now she is causing a stir with her controversial attitude.

Lindsey Coulson is fantastic in Carol's cancer storyline and it is nice to see her have the support of the three people most closest to her now they know.

EastEnders has cast Danny-Boy Hatchard as Lee Carter - the eldest son of recent newcomers Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda (Kellie Bright). The Carter family joined the BBC One show at Christmas, taking over the soap's iconic Queen Vic, but will now be complete following Lee's arrival. Lee is described as a "Jack-the lad", who has just returned from serving as a soldier in Afghanistan.

Mick and Linda are delighted to have him home, but soon become frustrated by their son's reluctance to pull his weight around the pub. Lee is an upbeat "tigger-like" character, but his mischievous manner could be hiding something more complicated.

Hatchard said of his new role: "I'm incredibly excited to be a part of EastEnders, a show that my family and I have watched for years. "It's an honour to have the chance to share the camera with such talented actors and I can't wait to get cracking and join the Carter family."

The 22-year-old, who has just finished a stint in the 20th anniversary revival of Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing in the West End, will begin filming on the soap next month.

EastEnders bosses have cast Declan Bennett in the role of Dot Branning's grandson Charlie Cotton.

Charlie - Nick's eldest son - will leave Dot shellshocked by turning up on her doorstep unexpectedly later this year.

Newcomer Charlie is named after his grandfather, but Dot (June Brown) is currently unaware of his existence.

Once Charlie is in Walford, viewers will be left to wonder why he has decided to track Dot down after so many years - and whether he has taken after the good or bad members of his family.

Speaking of his new part, Bennett commented: "I'm delighted to be joining the cast of EastEnders, especially at what seems to be an extremely exciting time for the show. June Brown is not only an incredible actress but has also created one of TV's most iconic characters, so to be working alongside her is a dream come true."

Zainab is great but does she really need to return?

Shabnam #2 is a less likeable but more extreme version of Zainab. Judgemental, religious, obseesed with being a perfect Muslim etc. No point in having Shabnam if Zainab returns.

Lot of the actors who quit , were axed or "agreed to leave by mutual consent are praising DTC and saying they wouldn't mind returning, the actors who played:

Not really looking forward to reprise of the Stacey Slater show. LT can act brilliantly but it's ultimately at the expense of non white characters such as Patrick, Denise (and soon to be Masood/Shabnam/ Tamwar, Fatboy, Dexter who should be main players). When really it should be the white characters like Ronnie who need to be phased out to make way for the inevitable Stacey Slater show part 2.

People were insisting it wasn't the Stacey Slater show back in 2008 -2010, and it was. OF course her return means loads of her on screen but as 2014 progresses she should really get less screen time than the likes of Shabnam, Patrick, Massood and Dexter - characters who actually look like they could be in the real eastend.

Sadly I strongly suspect producer DTC and his shockingly almost all white production team will cunningly pay lip service to "diversity" "realism" and make empty promises about giving more diverse characters screen time and bigger plots plots to head off criticism, but in reality do sweet FA whilst awarding the white characters ie the A-team - Stacey, Ronnie*, the Carters, Phil, Carol, Kat etc all themain storylines whilst the non white characters ie B-team ie Patrick, Denise, Masood get the lesser plots, or play second fiddle to the white character plots.

It's f#cking ridiculous that not a single non white character has been in EE throught the years for more than a 1000 episodes.

Stacey is back at the end of tomorrows episode turning up on Kat and Alfie's doorstep and then her storyline really starts next week.

I like how they have done the subtle build up before the big drama comes. Stacey has built up a new life away from the square and she is obviously not willing to give that up for now, but eventually realises that she can't keep running anymore.
