I can see Janine being back for the 30th too, but after that I can see her gone for a few years. The character needs a break and I can sense that Charlie Brooks wants some breathing space away from playing Janine for now.

She'll get to spend more time with her daughter, she has opened up a stage school too, which is a big project and will be time consuming to help upcoming young stars (her daughter is obviously in the SS also) and possibly she'll do some Acting roles outside of EE which I would like to see her do:).

I think it is the right time for Janine to go for now personally. I may not like the character, but Charlie is fantastic and I must admit that Janine is a great villain (I don't see her as a victim).

Although it is an exciting time because a new baddie can take Janine's vacated crown, step forward Veronica Mitchell. I hope EE have a fresh baddie lined up soon though!

EastEnders: Stacey to make another big decision

Stacey Branning has another important decision to make on EastEnders next week in the aftermath of Janine Butcher's murder trial.

Viewers have been wondering what the future holds for Stacey (Lacey Turner) after a jury found Janine not guilty in Thursday night's episode.

In the next visit to Walford on Monday (March 24), it's revealed that Janine has kept her promise to Kat Moon by dropping her false claims about being stabbed by Stacey.

The news means that Stacey can be on Albert Square without having to hide herself away, but as she comes face-to-face with many of its residents, not all of them give her a warm welcome back.

Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) is particularly unhappy as she is still unable to forgive Stacey for killing Archie.

A busy day for Stacey sees her attempt to make things right between Bianca (Patsy Palmer) and Kat after they fall out over the lies that Kat told about Alice.

Stacey also clears things up with her ex-lover Max (Jake Wood), making it clear that they'll only ever be friends despite their recent kiss.

Next on Stacey's list of people to see is Dot Branning (June Brown) and when the pair have a heart-to-heart, it hits home to Stacey that her late husband Bradley has had to pay for her sins.

Haunted by her mistakes, Stacey begins to wonder whether she can really stay on the Square and makes a big decision. What will she do?

EastEnders: Denise's daughter Libby returns for brief appearance

Former EastEnders cast member Belinda Owusu will make a brief appearance in an upcoming episode, producers have confirmed.

The Libby Fox actress was seen filming a scene with her on-screen mum Denise Fox played by Diane Parish. The pair were spotted strolling through Oxford's Botanic Garden.

The BBC have confirmed that the scenes will air in mid-April.

Details on the storyline will be revealed nearer the time.

Owusu was last seen on the soap in 2010 when her character left Walford to study at Oxford University.

During her time on the show, Libby underwent a number of dramatic storylines. Her father Owen attempted to murder her, and she discovered her boyfriend Darren Miller was the father of Heather Trott's son George.

But DTC must not worry: like returning Bushra; axed AJ, Sam and Ava, plot device lesbian Tosh (a mere pawn to get Tina with Sonia), Shabnnam's retaurant online date guy and now the forgotten Wayne Ladlow (Nancy's ex-fiance) are temporary solutions to DTC's 2013/ 2014 quota issue. All gone by 2015 where he'll have a new batch of black, Asian, mixed and other non white characters he can ignore and give weak storylines to whilst Lacey Turner is on holiday.

As for Libby being boring, what do you expect, she's not blond nor a Slater, so she was never going to be a writer's favourite. Never thought I'd agree with Lenny Henry but non white characters over the years are constantly ignored and unserved by white writers: Dexter, Jordan, Tamwar, Fatboy, Becca, Denise, Shabnam (both versions), Patrick, Syd, Tosh to name some.

She's not fulfilling any "quota". She's back briefly because her mother is still in the show.

If anything she's part of the "plan" to revert the show to pre-Kirkwood. IIRC he axed Libby back in 2010.

There's been brief appearances of family members for a few characters since DTC took over so this is nothing new.

I enjoyed that episode, something for everyone in terms of the storylines.

I'm glad Stacey confessed to clear Bradley's name though, she will probably get a short sentence but I am glad whatever happens it draws a line under the Archie saga and wipes the slate clean for when she is back in the Summer.

EastEnders' cast and crew worked out on location for Lucy Beale's funeral scenes yesterday (April 7).

John Partridge has also reprised his EastEnders role for the storyline, as his character Christian Clarke returns to pay his respects to Lucy and support his sister Jane. Christian was last seen on screen in November 2012.

Lucy's funeral will see her family and friends gather in the church to say their goodbyes following her tragic death.

However, with mystery surrounding the exact circumstances of her demise, it's possible that someone in attendance could have something to hide.

In a new interview released today, Hetti Bywater - who played Lucy - commented: "It's going to be a great story for the Beales and start a new dark chapter for them. John Partridge has also reprised his EastEnders role for the storyline, as his character Christian Clarke returns to pay his respects to Lucy and support his sister Jane. Christian was last seen on screen in November 2012.

Lucy's funeral will see her family and friends gather in the church to say their goodbyes following her tragic death.

However, with mystery surrounding the exact circumstances of her demise, it's possible that someone in attendance could have something to hide.

EastEnders will air Lucy's final episode on Friday, April 18 as she heads off alone after receiving a mysterious email. Not long afterwards, her lifeless body is left on Walford Common.

Show bosses confirmed plans to kill off Lucy in February, revealing that the story would keep fans guessing about the reasons for her death until the soap's 30th anniversary in February 2015.

In a new interview released today, Hetti Bywater - who played Lucy - commented: "It's going to be a great story for the Beales and start a new dark chapter for them. That's what the focus is going to be on - it's not going to be so much about the death, it's going to be about afterwards. It's going to be about the implications of it and everyone's journey.

Anyone remember her? Well she's making a comeback later this month. To jog peoples memory Gina is Cindy Beale's sister, Cindy Jr's aunt. She first appeared in 1997 at Cindy's funeral and had a brief storyline where she refuses to let Ian have custody of Cindy Jr. Later in the storyline they reminisced about Cindy and kissed. She then reveals that she cannot have children, and Ian decides to let her care for Cindy Jr.

She then appeared back on our screens in 2007. Ian broke into her house thinking she had been harassing him. Instead he was shocked to find a shrine dedicated to Cindy, she then almost shot him. Ian is concerned when Gina says she regularly "converses with" her dead sister, who had even told her to expect Ian's visit. (so she's kinda crazy)
