Moyes fancies himself in Bundesliga. Was close to going to Schalke once if I'm not mistaken
Yeah, Schalke wanted him at one time. If he went there, Dortmund fans would love it with how Moyes bends over in big games.

Jamie Redknapp has said that Manchester City should try and sign John Terry this summer.
Terry’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is yet to agree terms on a new deal.
“I wonder if Manchester City would consider a daring raid. If they could pull it off, they get to weaken one of their rivals and they end up with Terry and Vincent Kompany in a mighty partnership,” he wrote in his Daily Mail column.
“It would take a minimum two-year contract to drag Terry from Stamford Bridge, where you can imagine he would ideally like to finish his career as a one-club player. I can’t see him leaving, but I can see City — who have tried to sign him before — enjoying the mischief.
“Terry in another club’s shirt seems unimaginable…or does it?”
Good ol' Jamie.

For real though. People forget the glimpses he showed in 2011 playing with Anderson,Nani and Welbeck, Touch and go passing, it was quality. Him and Anderson ripped City,Chelsea,Arsenal and Spurs apart at the start of that season. For whatever reason his confidence has vanished though. Martinez I think could bring that back from him. He would do well in a midfield 3 imo.
Even last season, he had a couple good games (Away at Etihad off the top of my head)

Barcelona fans have yet again overwhelmingly backed selling Cesc Fabregas to Manchester United. First Catalan newspaper Sport asked their readers if the sale should happen and 80% of 16,619 said yes. That was followed by Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo being more direct and asking 'Would you sell Cesc Fabregas to Manchester United for €30m?' and again 80%, this time of 6807 voters so far, said 'Yes!'.
Not that fans will make a difference of course, but I didn't realise that they dislike him.

This really isn't devestating to the US in future WCs as well, Brad Guzan's the backup keeper.
I had a feeling he would, he's been doing a bunch of in booth analyst work for the US broadcasts of some games this year (Depends on the game and if Everton is playing on Saturday), imagine he'll go into punditry in the US. (He was awkward during the first game he did but he has improved)

Ah yes, today should be a thrilling day for the relegation battle. Big wins for Fulham, Swansea and West Brom, Norwich getting a point at Old Trafford, and Villa, Hull and West Ham being dragged into deep trouble. I wanted them to get top 4. And they face us next week (and obviously I want us to win) so that is basically their chance over </3.
Well that's that then.
Any other year we'd have made the top 4, but sadly the strength of the league is poor and the gap between a select few and the rest of the league is too big.
But first season for Martinez and a couple of tweeks to the squad in the summer and we'll be challenging with the money clubs again next season.
Arsenal will definitely get the forth place now, It's impossible for Newcastle to take anything from them on Monday.

Yeah. Heard one on the radio saying he'd take him in a heartbeat. The issue is he won't play good football.
Terrible, that and Palace have been our worst two performances of the season probably, think Sam knows he's not gonna stay and the players cant be bothered anymore
Going to have to hope Giggsy's boys can make us a bit more secure now
Aston Villa are lucky that there's so many poor teams in the league this season.
Good point for Hull today, more or less certain of Premier League football next year, they can now just concentrate on the cup final and putting together a game plan to beat Arsenal.

Can honestly say I am embarrassed about being a United fan for the first time since the MUTV episode debacle (still to this day know one has seen this alleged disgusting rant by Keane)
Not giving Moyes a proper pre-season with the team which he didn't have last year and a stable transfer team which again he didn't have last year is very poor. If this approach had been taking with Fergie rather then SIR the letters beside his name would have been JSA
My main gripe however is with the bunch off whiney pre-Madonna's in this team summed up best by that fat **** Wayne. David stuck his neck out for fatty against Fergie's will even gave him a HUGE pay rise and he repay's him by putting in some of the worst performances ever seen in a United shirt

Also Keane is being proved more right by the day in regards to Fergie and his power trip. Why he finds the need to come out and publically and give a different view then the club officially gave regarding Van Gaal the other day is baffling.
I'm actually hoping Van Gaal does come purely to the fact because of his prestige and ego Fergie will simply not be allowed to stick his beak in like he did with Moyes. Not being funny Fergie you left this team in an awful ****ing state with your transfer policy in your last 3 years so please ****

Too many glory hunting fans wanting heads as soon as success is not being achieved smh. This was always going to be a transitional period are you going to cry when we don't win the league again next year. SMH should we be so low in the league OF COURSE NOT but I would say that is a lot more down to players like Fatty.Ashley Patrice Rio , Cleverly , Tony , RVP playing like utter tripe. The performances vs Bayern earned Moyes a clean lease of life for next year easily forgotten that if Danny could hit a barn door and if Fatty wasn't a waste of space could have quite easily beat Bayern

Moyes is tactically inept. He pulled his trousers down and was happily raped in the ass by Pellegrini and Rodgers. Away to Everton, Martinez knew how to beat him easily. He never had the dressing room so what use would more time of been?
We'd of been rebuilding a whole squad as so many disliked the useless twat. He never deserved the job. No other top team went for him and numerous rival fans saw it coming and they were correct.
Thank goodness he's gone. He can go and 'we played well', after getting beaten, elsewhere.
Edit: And Steve Round and Jimmy Lumsden. It was like one big joke. A no mark of a manager along with wank coaching staff. Too negative to ever make it at a top team.

Need I remind you of Fergie's Wembley champions league final masterpiece easily the worst tactical performance of the last 50 years. Fergie is widely known as being pretty poor tactically FFS he let the fat waiter bend him over smh however what he had going was he was a good man manager which is the most important thing as a manager.
Moyes also had this talent go look at his time with Everton but even Gandhi would struggle to motivate slobs like Patrice Ashley and Fatty. Also unlike what some of you would like to suggest Moyes is very good at spotting talent brought in many many amazing players on a shoestring budget. Sure he ****ed up with Fellani saga but deserves some slack of having a new transfer team behind him. Fergie has DONE MUCH WORSE OVER THE YEARS Pogba Ashley Tony Blanc Djemba ****ing Djemba yet get's a lot less heat
Yes he brought in a rubbish team but if you think Mike ****ing Phelan would have made a difference you are sadly mistaken
Ryan57
26-04-2014, 08:55 PM
Fergie gets less heat as he brought in a heck of a lot of good players. Silly to compare the transfer records of both as their years at the club, thankfully, are like chalk and cheese.
And this shoestring budget thing is a huge exaggeration. Has been cited constantly for years about his time at Everton.
£15 million on Fellaini.
£11.25m on Yakubu.
£8m on Andy Johnson.
£6m on James Beattie.
= £40.25 million ON those players ALONE.
Jurgen Klopp total cost of Champions League runners up = £35 million. That is what you call a shoe string budget.

Players like Merrilas(sp) Coleman were bought for pennies (coleman was 200k I think) and would walk into this United team that Fergie left. Moyes was also a lot better at getting value for money once a player leaves
I can tell you one thing for sure Bringing in Young to replace Giggs Tony to replace Ronnie and letting Pogba go is a dam site worse then Moyes bringing in Fellani who was targeted by a few big teams and is one of the first name's on the team sheet for one of the best countries in world football.
Fergie did bring in some great players but it's not as if these were un earthed gems no one had heard about. Roonie Eric and Roy(3 biggest signings) were all known about and chased by many team. The fact he let Pogba go and when he did bring in players no one had heard about Djemba Djemba worryingly they were god awful
Moyes showed signs which should have given him another year. The fact
A. Addressed our midfield as wank and tried to do something about it Woodward to blame for last summer mainly

8. 'It's like we're playing against the referees as well'
9. 'We're 5 or 6 world class players away from winning the Champions League' Says that in September, that's really going to inspire players.
10. Sticks his cock in Rooney's arse and bows down to him, with no balls to ever sub him.
11. Takes the champions from 1st to 7th.
12. Deems the fault(s) to be everything/everyone barring his useless tactics.
13. 'I think there was a lack of mental toughness' after the Fulham game. Lack of mental toughness from players who have done something in their career won Premier League titles and Champions Leagues... as opposed to a man who's career highlight is a Division 2 title.
14. Everton improve in his absence, we go down hill. Ironic much?
15. Blows £37 million on Juan Mata when he's a player that wasn't needed and puts him on the wing. Nice move.
16. 'I think any manager would of struggled with this team, even Sir Alex'... really, David? You think Jose or Pep, two people who's tactically knowledge couldn't be written down on a postage stamp, unlike yours, would of struggled?
17. Plays Ashley Young.

Yes, let's leave it there. Most of the forum will confirm who the winner is.

This will go on forever. And, well, the general consensus on the forum is that I've won.
So I guess we'll leave it there.

What did you think of Veron coming in (at the time considered one of the best players in the world) when we already had Keane Scholes Butt etc

This battle has ended, LK. We could be here all night. You're battered and bruised and I've only a few scratches on me.

At the end of the day, it seems the United board and players agree with me. There's no turning back the time. Moyes has gone.

Yep pretty sure the board and players agree with you view on Mata lol
Now answer the question at hand ala Teddy and Veron
Yes or no

So can I confirm if Luis said he wanted to come United you would not take him because we have quality up front??

How every debate goes with me on this forum. Said poster makes point I rip said point to shreds they rant on about something else and never answer the matter at hand smh
MTVN the only person worth debating with on here as he actually stands by his point when called out on it and backs it up
I salute you

Because you spout bollocks and "debating" with you is genuinely a waste of time. It's as mind numbing as having to talk to my little sister about **** she is interested in. MTVN is probably the only one with patience for your posts
Even now you are talking about all this "so you wouldn't sign ___ because we have people already" yet you hated on the RVP signing for those same reasons. Get a grip.

Let's see if I can get the point across at the third time of asking. 'Third time lucky as they say'...
Signing Mata didn't make a great deal of sense as... we had Kagawa who Moyes doesn't play as a number 10 and we have Rooney who Moyes would seemingly take a bullet for to keep him on the pitch. And Rooney is primarily used as the number 10.
Which means that if Moyes was still manager, and everybody was fit, he'd go with Rooney played off RVP and Mata used on the wing. What use is a £37 million number 10 on the wing?
My issue with the signing isn't about Mata's quality. I rate Mata. IF Rooney was played as the main striker, his best position, then Mata would be a really good signing.

So again with all you have said if Luis became available you would not sign him because there is already quality up top that is pretty much what your saying with Mata
SEE HOW FLAWED IT IS
The fact of the matter is whethere he is played as number 10(course he is fatty is useless) OUR MIDFIELD LACKS CREATIVITY ALL OVER IT so you do not simply turn down a WORLD CLASS CREATIVE PLAYER years away from his prime when as his stats have shown he improves your attacking play by a 100 x
I am partial to a good old cricket debate with LK every now and then in fairness

I hated on the RVP signing
A. He is always ****ing injured PROVED RIGHT

It's quite impressive that I've added more intellectual 'debate' into the thread (in my first season of actively watching) than LK has. I'm proud of myself.

Should of kept his name with a Z at the end tbh :idc:
He never had the dressing room so what use would more time of been?
So why is that only Moyes fault?
Players are paid ridiculous amounts of money to do their job, and their job is to play football that's what your club pays them a wage for, Their job is not to decide who manages the football club.
You saw yesterday that when the players put the effort in they can be a good team, so when all said and done the players didn't put the effort in for your club (not Moyes) this season, they were stealing a wage of your club and didn't care less about trying for you fans.
At Everton Moyes managed a smaller squad with less International players on much less wages then your team of so called superstars and qualified them for the champions league.
So you can say they didn't want to play for Moyes all you want, but that just means they didn't want to play for Manchester Glazer United PLC. They tossed it off while your fans spent good hard earned money supporting them.

There are many reasons why they didn't want to play for him.
