Having a troubled youth and constantly in and out of trouble with the law, it was inevitable that Liam would end up paying for his crimes. Unfortunately for him, that came three days after he turned 18 and was suspected of armed burglary at his local bank.
Fortunately for him someone had stepped forward as his alibi and he had played along with this charade.

Sitting at the bus station in Vermont, he was going over the events in his head. He had no idea who this saviour was but had been given clear instructions in a letter as to play along and recite the events that he, and his alibi, had been doing that day.

He didn't know why he was trusting this person, but he felt he owed them some debt to carry out their request and head down to Centralia. This alibi had said he would be able to play out his biggest frustrations and give the world what it deserved. Something about that offer filled him with eager excitement and Liam wasn't one to let his rebellion pass easily, nor was he going to let the curiosity pass him by.

The bus pulled up and he stepped on with a smirk on his face...

Night had fallen again in Centralia, and at around 8pm Audrey found herself at the town's main road out, before turning back to assess her situation: she was broke, she had no phone, and her changes of clothes were with her boyfriend Cameron, who she'd just left cradling some random guy's body hours ago. The run-in with the mystery gas-mask man in the shed the other side of town had completely shook her, and she shuddered to think what might have happened, had he not caught fire. A police car was parked outside the church, and an officer was interrogating some small crowd of other kids. She figured she might be safe with the law, and went over to see what was going on.

"We're investigating the disappearance of a Reuben Levinson," one of the officers said, holding a flashlight up to the gathered crowd. Audrey recognised the elderly couple to be Beth and Jack, they'd been introduced to her by Cameron earlier, but she didn't really have a clue who the black woman stood by her car, or the 2 white kids beside her, were, nor the girl with clearly visible cut-marks on her arm.
Audrey was just beginning to summon the courage to tell the police about her attack when someone ran from the forest into the middle of the road looking frenzied.
"Leave me alone! Lord, if you are seeing this, strike that man down!" she fell to her knees, crying and shaking. Audrey approached her and asked if she was alright, but the police called her back.
"Ma'am, step away from her," the first officer put his hand on his belt - Audrey couldn't see but she was sure he had reached for his gun.
"Young lady, what has happened?" the second officer, a much nicer, older man carefully approached Kendal. She reeled away.
Just then, a blast of light hit the town bridge.

It all happened in a flash, Audrey observed; just as the words appeared, she heard two gunshots. One of the policemen fell to the floor, and parts of grey matter had splattered at her feet. Instinctively she screamed, trying to get it off her, and understandably distracted her from the events unfolding around her.
Vivienne gestured to Joel and Carter to get back in her car, but the second shot flew past and punctured a tire, grazing her arm in the process. The younger police officer had, by now, scooped up Kendal and thrown her into the back of his car, and was about to call for back-up when a third shot struck him in the tendon of his knee. He yelled out as Kendal broke free from the seat and slammed the door into his nose.

Carter and Vivienne had run into the woods in the ensuing melee, and somewhere along the line lost sight of Joel. Vivienne's arm was bleeding, so Carter used a scarf from her handbag to try and stop the bleeding; luckily the wound wasn't too deep, and there seemed to be no arteries or veins damaged. Vivienne struggled through the pain.
"What just happened?"
"I don't know, all I remember seeing is that girl-"
"Did she shoot that officer?"
"No, if anything she was being restrained-"
"But did you see her before shots were fired?" Vivienne may have been injured but her interrogative spirit wasn't.
"No, it was all too fast - how did the projection happen? I broke the first projector," Carter was confused.
Before Vivienne could rustle together a theory, she and Carter both heard a rustling in the bushes. Vivienne grabbed his hand, as a deathly thin girl - no, woman - burst into their clearing. Her eyes were nearly red, and she looked like she hadn't eaten in days.

"Hi, I'm Angel. Where the hell is Carl?"

Helena had scarpered by herself back to the house where that projection had lured her on the first night. She was frightened that Max had somehow got involved in trouble, as the police had arrived just half an hour after he left her - but she was also furious with him for knocking her unconscious. What was that spray? Was it poisonous? She tried to word what she'd say to him when he came back, and how on Earth she was going to leave Centralia and get revenge on her new 'daddy'. Just then, she heard someone's footsteps down the left side of the property.
"Max? Oh thank god," Helena cried out of relief, as his face appeared around the back wall of the house she was hiding behind. Her relief was short-lived though when she realised that he wasn't moving, or saying anything, but rather being moved by some girl who'd gathered his corpse. Helena went to scream but couldn't make a sound, as Max's limp body was pushed forward onto her; his weight was far heavier than she could handle, and she buckled under him, falling on her back. She managed to make a sound this time, as she found his face staring down at her own: a large hole in the middle of his forehead that had now dried up and was beginning to crust.
After she wrestled him off of her, she noticed that the girl had a plumbing pipe in her hand, and the next thing she knew she'd awoken hours later, in pitch black and unable to move. She went to cough, only to have her mouth fill up with dirt. She wriggled to her right, only to find Max again, staring right back at her - she realised she'd been buried alive with him, and although she tried to pound at the mud and rocks above her, it was no use.

"Miss Porter, please refrain from moving Sallie's stuff. You know it upsets her".

Helena looked up at Nurse Glendyll Doriss, the plump and stern looking nurse then swung her gaze to Sallie who was sat in the corner of the room rocking back and forth before replying "Well it's not my fault she's a ****ing mess".

"Miss PORTER!" exclaimed Nurse Doriss with a warning glare.

"Whatever bitch" retorted Helena as she got up and strode to her room. God how she hated being here. She wasn't like the people here, she wasn't crazy. Her stupid ****ing stepdad had sent her after she'd rejected his advances and then caught her self-harming to deal with the pain of his torment. She had pleaded with her mum but her stepdad had convinced her that she was unstable of mind and just jealous that her mum had found happiness. Of course her mum had sided with him, the desperate to be loved bitch. He didn't love her, but she was weak and he could control her.

She clenched her fists. What a prick he was and what a **** her mum was. How she hated them. She just wished she could get out of here and get back at them. They would pay, along with that fat bitch Nurse Doriss for making her time in here a living hell. A knock came at the door and the meek and timid Nurse Janey came in.
"Helena, it's time for us to go into town, are you ready?"
Helena nodded and smiled, she didn't mind Nurse Janey at all, and she was happy that this time of the week had come around. The one and only time she got to leave this cesspit hell-hole and be in the real world, even if it was the village to browse the few shops they had.

She followed Nurse Janey and began their way to the village by car. As Helena sat in the back peering through to the front and the windshield behind a grill barrier - for the drivers' safety incase she went "crazy" - she noticed the low fuel light come on.
"Nurse Janey I believe some **** forgot to fill the car up".
"Helena, please watch your language you know..."
Before Nurse Janey could finish, the car rolled to a stop. "Oh dear".
Great thought Helena, my one trip out cut short because some twat forgot to fill up the car with gasoline. Nurse Janey turned to her.
"Helena, I am going to have to walk back to the last house we passed to use their phone, mine seems to have no signal and I need to get someone to help us get the car running again."
Helena just stared blankly as she watched Nurse Janey lock the car and canter back up the country road.

"Great" she muttered out loud. She slumped against the window and watched the world. Nothing but fields and trees for miles and miles. So vast she thought and how free it looked to be out there. She wondered if Nurse Janey would have been better to wait for another car to go by, but guessed she thought the same that this road was really only used by the asylum on the rare outings and the one house that shared this road, so no cars would come.

As this thought crossed Helena's mind, she was proven wrong. She could see a car coming up the road. Typical. She expected to watch it go by but it didn't. It stopped dead in front of her. She peered through the windshield to see if she could make out who was driving but she couldn't see a thing.
Then the door of the other car opened and out stepped somebody dressed head to toe in black. And wearing a hood. Oh dear god thought Helena, what the **** is this? The figure walked slowly to the car and to the rear passenger window to where Helena was sat.

She peered at them too frightened to move.

"Helena" the voice said in a muffled tone through the window. "Helena, it is okay, I am here to save you". Before she had time to gauge what the voice had said the figure had smashed the window.
Helena let out a short scream before the figure held out their hand.
"Take it, come with me, we are going to escape and find a place where we can be free and teach those that hurt us the lessons they deserve. I know you want to pay your stepdad and mum back, and we can, but you must come with me and quickly before it is too late!".

Helena was so confused, scared and her mind could not make sense, but something in her took over and she found her hand taking the stranger's. The figure pulled her through the broken window and she could feel a shard of glass slice against her leg as they pulled her out. How she loved that pain. The figure then rushed to get her in the car.

"Get in, hurry, please" the stranger ordered, and she did as she was told. She closed the door and watched the figure get into the car and get in. They switched on the ignition and put the car into reverse before turning sharply and speeding down the road. Helena looked back as the car she had just left faded into the distance half-expecting to see Nurse Janey running after them but she did not see her.

Finally the voice spoke again.
"Sorry to scare you like that Helena, but I had to ensure I could get to you so I drained the fuel from the car and get you when you were least guarded".
Helena's eyes widened. "This was planned?"
The figure laughed and then removed the hood. "Of course it was, you needed saving and I need your help, together we can be a great pairing, I'm Max by the way, nice to finally meet you".
Helena was stunned and sat back without saying a word. This guy had just saved her and she had no idea why, but he had said they could get revenge on her stepfather and that took priority...

Natalie... you are not the Killer.

Task #7: Patience and Fortitude

There isn't a terrible lot of meaning behind the title of the task, despite what you may think :p they're just the names of the lions outside of the New York public library.

Every time I post this, a new sequence will begin.

In this sequence, pictures of TiBB members' forum awards will appear. I will take however long I like to post each award, to give you more clues, since more than one member may have a particular award :spin2: But as soon as you want to make an answer, do so in this thread by stating a member's name. Be careful: even using a fellow player's name at any time in the task will count as an answer.

30 members' lists of awards will be posted over the course of the task, and as a team you need to correctly identify 25 of them. Liam, as team leader, you don't have much responsibility other than to make sure your team are doing what they're asked.

Immunity will be available to whoever gets the 10th, 20th and 30th players - that'll leave at least 4 of you left for Isolation decisions, so I advise contending for them :wink: The first list will begin shortly... and since you can't discuss members in here without them counting as answers, I advise you post a fair bit amongst each others' walls :wink:
