I was going to start watching Survivor ages ago but I didn't and just watched Gabon but they do All stars a lot so I'm going to start watching all the seasons by the next Season, I think a lot of people on here are going to start watching too

Gabon Cast Thoughts~

CRYSTAL is just magical. She just delivers non-stop. I find it hard to express my love for her in words so I'll just post my fave Crystal things below:

RANDY is also hilarious. Like seriously, how could a misanthropic grump who chooses to allign with a bunch of egotistical 20-somethings not be amazing? I also find him fascinating from a psychological standpoint: I think, as much as he enjoys being on his own, he also yearns for human interaction and hates being pitied. I think he is one of the most unique survivor contestants ever, and I enjoy him a lot. The only time I disliked Randy was when he accused Crystal and GC of running their tribe 'like a gang' which seemed kinda racially motivated and made me feel uncomfortable.

SUGAR is an enigma. I loved that she was an accidental mastermind, and was able to get to the final 3 without getting any vote. I loved that she would turn on her own allies for seemingly no reason (Pwnt @ Ace). Idk what else to say really, as Sugar's appeal is obvious and idt that I have to explain it to anyone. I'll finish on Sugar by saying she is definitely one of the mentally frailest people to ever go on Survivor, and I felt rlly bad when she tried to kill herself after being voted out of HvV :(.

KELLY is amazing.. Idk if I can explain my absurd amount of Kelly love. Proudly annoucning she works in retail <3 shutting down Jacquie's attempt to get on her good side <3 Being bffs with Paloma <3 The following exchange:

DAN is such an adorable human. He's so charming and awkward I can't help but love him. His idol hunt was amazing, and it resulted in him dumping the contents of his bag in the middle of Tribal Council to prove he didn't have it <3. I don't actually remember much else about Dan, other than that he was booted for eating too much food or something? lol

GILLIAN is an annoying overly-positive old woman so naturally I loved her. I'm pretty sure the first thing she did was start picking up elephant dung? lol <3 also she randomly got Michelle booted even though she performed the best in the challenge? I'm not going to question the logic in that because it gave us an extra hour of Gillian annoying her tribe/performing dismally in challenges/collecting elephant dung so obviously it was the correct decision.

SUSIE was actually barely on the season and randomly came 2nd! GJ! I loved her when she was seen though. Her name being Jesusita <3 "WELL ACTUALLY I WAS GONNA VOTE YOU OUT :joker:" <3 flipping on Marcus <3 being despised by the onions <3

PALOMA was Ace's first victim so naturally she has a place in my heart. Seriously though, her disgust of Ace was truly something to behold:

BOB is definitely an okay winner I guess? I don't have any problems with him and I enjoyed that he was a relatively normal person in a cast of crazy people so he goes here I guess.

KENNY is someone I don't rlly care about on his own but loved as Crystal's loyal minion. How can I not like someone who campaigned for Crystal's survival? Still, I don't really care for him on his own.

JACQUIE and Kelly are not the same person.

GC is really stank but in a boring way. Still. he contributed to 'Eat Yo' Rice. so I can't bring myself to diskike him.

CHARLIE was kinda invisible? Like he went from declaring his love for Marcus to not really doing anything. He never did anything objectionable though.

MICHELLE was boring and I'm glad she went over Gillian despite it not making any logical sense to boot her <3

CORINNE is such a try-hard generic meangirl. I rlly don't want to spend time writing about her, so I guess I'll just say her question to sugar was unnecessary and made me feel dirty.

MARCUS is smug, condescending and boring. At least he had the decency to get taken out by Crystal though.

MATTY isn't even worth writing about. Such a shame he made it further than so many great contestants. Sugar randomly taking him out tho <3

ACE is rlly annoying. I get why so many people like him, but I can only root for so many OTT characters and he doesn't rlly do anything for me. His fake British accent x_x. "They were like a pack of sleak weasels and we were like legless chickens".. what does that even mean? I just find him seriously unbearable.

Watched Borneo

It started off ok.. I didn't enjoy it that much for the first two eps but I guess that was because it is over 10 years old but as time went on I got use to it, I was happy with B.B going as he was very very annoying. Pagong was my fav group out of the rest, I liked most of the tasks as they where a lot more simple as the ones now, It was sad that romana was robbed like just before the merge <\3

After the merge the gameplay started there with the messy Rich, Sue & Kelly alliance, one downfall to the series was Pagong getting voted off one after another since I liked most of them, I did think colleen would ride it to the end but she didn't sob

On the final I didn't mind Richard that much didn't hate him or like him, but lmao sue at her messy speech about how she would let kelly die if she saw her dying, does anybody know what happened to Gerg after since I didn't understand him and what happened to all of them I know B.B died and Richard was locked up for 51 months, I will give the series 7/10

Finished Borneo yesterday

i was right :amazed: Was really happy with Richard winning too. Would have liked a Rich-Rudy final two though. I also lol'd at Sue's speech. talk about taking everything too seriously.

Now on to Outback

Just finished a spontaneous Borneo rewatch (probably my 5th or 6th time watching it) and it's even better than I remembered. Truly a work of art and probably my favorite season of reality TV. Absolutely perfect.

I'm also plowing through an Australian Outback rewatch and it's been pretty enjoyable too! I used to hold it on a pedestal and it's definitely not as good as I thought it was, but it's still fantastic. Old Survivor is just so much better than the modern day seasons, although the one-two punch of Cagayan and San Juan del Sur was a delight.

I might rewatch Marquesas again, that's one of my all time faves, especially out of the older seasons.

I just finished Thailand (literally awful my advice to anyone would be not to bother with it)
I'm in the middle of Marquesas which is awesome!

Finishing up my spontaneous Australian Outback rewatch and even though I don't like it as much as I used to, it's still a good season. Pre-merge is great but things start to drag after the merge, and especially after Jerri's booted. The last few episodes are mostly filler and focus on ~survival~ but there are some iconic moments in there like the flood that make it worthwhile.

I can also say that I firmly dislike Colby and Tina though! They do go on to redeem themselves in Heroes vs. Villains and Blood vs. Water respectively, but they were kind of yucky in their original appearances, Colby especially. Colby's lionized for his relationship with Jerri even though he treated her much worse than she ever did, and once she was gone he had to redirect his moodiness at someone else and it was Keith for pretty much no reason at all. Tina wasn't much better, constantly preaching about how the Good People deserve to win and using her sketchy morals to unite everyone against a common enemy, but as gross as it is it's part of the reason why she deserved her win (think Maggie in BBUS6.) Colby really had no reason to follow Tina's skewed moral compass, other than that he's a temperamental brat and viewed Tina as his surrogate mother (this becomes very clear once Colby's mom visits and we see their Oedipean relationship.)

Also, it's pretty easy to think that Jerri's villainy is overstated when watching this season 14 years after the fact, but if you watch with your parents it really throws you back to 2001. According to my mom, Jerri's an annoying jerk who sexually harassed Colby by screaming about chocolate and saying that their trip to the Great Barrier Reef was a honeymoon without the sex, and she only voted for Tina to win because she's a woman scorned, even though Jerri clearly explained that Colby taking Tina to the end made it clear that she was the real mastermind, which is entirely true. Even a fact as trivia as Jerri living in Germany for 12 years is annoying, somehow.

I finished the Marquesas season last night.

I feel like I have so much to say on the first four seasons that I've watched (for the first time) but it would take forever and ain't nobody got time for that. I might just start posting my thoughts on Thailand starting tonight.

In terms of ranking the first four seasons I would put them like this so far:

1) Borneo
2) The Australian Outback
3) Marquesas
4) Africa

Borneo is superior to the other three by quite a margain (I gave the season a score of 7.9/10). Although I do believe that all four of the seasons are great nonetheless. Australia is a little bit better than the following two (getting 7.2/10), as Africa and Marquesas are literally on the same level in terms of quality (both getting 7.1/10). Marquesas only pips Africa by a little bit.

I also have really cool Excel spreadsheets where I've ranked the castaways episode by episode, but they're all on my iPad so I'm not really sure how I could upload them on here for people to see.

I started my Amazon rewatch last night and this is all I have to share

RNO: What is your side of the situation which caused you to go off on Christy the way you did, to the point of sticking your hand in her face when you knew that the only way she could understand you was to read your lips?

JoAnna: As far a Christy goes, she was a thorn in my flesh. Christy was very vocal about her disagreement of my not wanting to touch the idol. She also held me personally responsible for the girls isolating her from the tribe... If you were listening to what I was saying, in addition to what I was doing, you would have understood from the episode – but then of course this would mean you actually wanted to understand??? –anyhow, there were several occasions that I was talking to Jeanne and Christy came and stuck her entire face between us and right in my face. My solution to this problem was to invite her face out of mine with my hand. The clip you see, the issue is being laid on the table because Christy is still talking about the idol, my stupidity (as if) and me putting my hand in her face. Outdone, I finally approached her and I reminded her that we agreed that she was going to let it go. It amazes me that you never see Christy harassing me????? But I guess it wouldn't have mattered because it would have been OK because she fell into a minority with her hearing – well I fell into several minorities – Christian, Strong, only single-parent, the sudden death of my mother DOROTHY VASSELL, but there was no pity for me – oh I forgot – I don't need pity. By the way did you notice above all else that Christy did not vote against me after I allegedly "went off on her." Makes you wonder??? Nobody voted against me at all that episode??? Then, when the did vote me off, I wasn't because of my faith, going off on people, mean, or rude??? Hmmm... I was just too strong… SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY, and PHYSICALLY. Or maybe they just lied on national TV and said that I was just plain better – it amazes me how others try to formulate so many other reasons – I am a Mighty Woman of God. Come correct or don't come at all. It is hard to argue with absolute truth supported by evidence. Try something else – next. [RNO Note: While we obviously weren’t there, it does seem that perhaps Christy might have needed to “stick her face” in as reading lips is the only way she can understand what others are saying.

RNO: We have seen Heidi and the other younger women talking to the cameras about being cute and all that – did they say something out in the open that caused you to lecture the younger women on beauty being only skin deep?

JoAnna: No, I had no idea they imagined somewhere in their finite minds that they could hold a candle to me in a pitch black dark room. I had no idea we were competing against each other in a beauty contest – if so then let the games begin.

Just finished the second episode of San Juan & tbh I ain't digging the cast.
Val made such a stupid move by lying about having two idols

The SJDS cast really is greater than the sum of its parts, and the first two episodes were definitely worrisome.

HOWEVER (/BB voice), the boot order is exquisite and everything just comes together so nicely and the season gets better and better each episode that it's easily the best season since HvV/Nicaragua.

(footnote: of course any season is instantly elevated with the inclusion of Jaclyn Schultz <3)

Did you watch/enjoy Africa, Karl? I watched it recently and thought that it's a little under appreciated in the Survivor community. I didn't mind the season being land-locked at all.

the main reason the fake merge doesn't sit well with me is that it just really kills the game. After the Erin boot it's clear as day that the rest of Sook Jai is going to get picked off and Brian is going to steamroll his way to the win. The show just becomes a straightforward Pagonging

Not even that but it's so unbelievable just how dominant he was too. Like, he's just SUCH a sleazeball and such a sociopath and it's just all so transparent as a viewer, and it's hard to believe that Helen and Ted and Jan were just that dumb and didn't see it coming.

The next two seasons are arguably the two best ever so it'll be worth it :3

Pearl Islands is fantastic. We all know that but I just need to say it again because the post-merge is simply fantastic. I'll post some stuff in spoilers since I know Braden will be watching this soon.

The Outcast episode is obviously epic. I always get chills when Michelle cites "REVENGE, BABY" as their reason for coming back. It's probably the best thing she did all season tbh. It's just amazing to see them celebrate after winning the challenge, you can't help but feel so excited for them.

THAT BEING SAID, the challenge was hilariously rigged since they were all able to use their purple ribbons to help construct their poles :joker: the twist needed to happen though, they can't do all that hype and have the Outcasts lose. Also I loooooooooooove how Andrew gets his. This rewatch really did him no favors in my book. His "attempt" to get Lill on board was so pathetic and half-assed, but thank god she shut that **** down. "Remember I asked you to let me know before? And you didn't? :c" is such an apt ending for him, and hopefully for Second Chances he realizes that he can't just ignore anyone who isn't athletic or pretty. He probably hasn't though, since Probst and the show and probably people on Reddit have built him up to be someone who was screwed by an unfair twist :rolleyes:

The Rupert-Tijuana one-two punch might be the best pair of back-to-back episodes ever? Rupert's boot was an exquisite swan song for him. It's kind of annoying how the show brushes over his arrogance and self-righteousness, but I still love him so whatever. That being said, as devastating as his boot was to the casual audience back in 2003, it was pretty deserved lmao. Like, Sandra spied on Burton/Jon and let Rupert know that he needs to do something and all he did was let Lill lie to him and convince him he was safe, and then he/Sandra/Christa split the vote for no reason? IDK, even though we're definitely supposed to root for Rupert it was great to watch the others scramble an alliance together while he was out fishing. Holy **** though, the graphic and disturbing symbolism of the snake devouring the lizard. So beautifully dark, that's the kind of **** that only Survivor can pull off.

The Tijuana boot is great for the obvious reasons. Sandra coming back to camp yelling about how that snake mother****er Jon can't be trusted, Sandra dumping the fish out of spite, and the dead grandmother lie are all things that Pearl Islands is known and loved for. It was also fantastic to watch Sandra drag Tijuana into the woods so they could spy on Burton and Jon. The post-IC scrambling was great too but Tijuana really did herself in. T/Darrah/Christa/Sandra would've been a majority as it was, but then T had to go up to Jon all "haha we have the majority so you need to vote Burton off, then we'll get Christa out thx" and gave him all the info he needed to sell her out. Oh well, she really did fizzle out after her epic premiere episode so no harm done.

Finished Borneo earlier (I think I'm gonna try and watch all the seasons this summer in preparation for Seconds Chances, but we'll see how it goes), my thoughts:

It was a slow start and I was losing concentration during some of the earlier episodes but I put that down to its age and the differences it has to the modern version of the show, but I finally fully got into it around the episode 8/9 mark (pretty late I know but still!) and now that it's over I'm actually quite sad, it was very strange to see how different it was but it was kind of a sweet season so I enjoyed it

My favourites were Rich, Greg and Sue. I also thought Colleen was the cutest thing ever :flutter: and I'm so happy that her and Greg actually became a thing for a while <3 the secrecy surrounding that even at the reunion was driving me crazy so I went and did some research :laugh: I enjoyed Rudy as well actually, obviously some of his comments are questionable but I guess it was 2000 so I could brush most of them off, the worst was the abortion one though...I literally was like this :umm2: the entire time, a pretty awful thing to say in the context of Gervase's news. I did however howl laughing at some of the other things he said, particularly how when the girls were getting closer (I think it was that) he wondered if it was 'lesbianism' :laugh3:

The strangest parts of the show for me were just how messy it all was. Jeff not commentating on challenges was weird and kind of made them hard to follow for me, I was always looking out for his inconsistency with the catchphrases that developed as well. And Jeff going on rewards with people, sharing a beer, on a boat, having a chat?! wtf? He came across as really friendly in this season as well, I love him but he's now a troll let's be honest and would never act the way he does in S1 anymore it's just weird to watch

Deserved result anyway even though I knew what was coming, I didn't mind Kelly but thought Sue, Rich, Sean etc etc were all better. Looking forward to seeing her on Second Chances though!

I've just finished ep 6 of Amazon and I'm really enjoying it so far :love:

I'm not liking that three females have gone in a row (Shawna :( :( :(), but knowing how this season turns out I probably won't mind in hindsight.

I love the male/female division at the beginning. On paper it sounds like a terrible idea, but the girls owned most of the challenges so I loved it, especially since the boys were so cocky to begin with :joker: The casting is also strong enough to make it work. All of the females are contributing to making this series excellent, and the boys aren't too bad either (admittedly I tend to think females make better entertainment than males). I'm glad I'm at the point where their 'omg Heidi/Jenna/Shawna is so beautiful, her breasts, her bum...blah, blah, blah' mentality has ended. It's good to actually see them communicate with them like their human beings as oppose to objects :joker:

I really love so many cast members. I love(d) the hot girl alliance (Heidi/Jenna/Shawna) bar the episode where a few of them were mean to Christy, who I absolutely adore. I'm loving her relationship with Butch at this point :flutter: (Roger & Elisabeth, Paschal & Neleh eat your hearts out) and hope they keep their bond throughout the season. Deena is a boss bitch, but I feel like she could do the slightest thing to make me do a 180 on her.

The voted off females were great too. Janet was so sweet, although I do hope it was her who snuck the granola bar (why do granola bars cause such controversy on RTV? I love it :joker:) into camp :love: Joanna was great in her first episode being a background character but bringing the lols, and the storyline with her fear of the idol is one of the best things to come out of this season so far, lmfao :flutter: However I did go off her a lot when she completely overreacted to Christy talking about her behind her back, she didn't come across well in that situation at all. I went back and forth with Jeanne, I think being a pre-merge boot is right for her.

Out of the boys I'm liking Butch (as I said) and Rob the most, although Rob can be quite douchey and off-putting at times. I really admired Alex for saying his piece on gay equality against Roger (ew), and I do like him as a person but I don't feel that he plays into the dynamics well enough yet to make me really enjoy him. Roger is awful, full stop :laugh: And there's something about both Matthew & Dave that doesn't translate well. I feel that they're bad people, but they're just not my cup of tea right now. Matthew is kinda dull and Dave is a little bit of an arsehole.

Can't wait to see how it all plays out :love:

Christy is someone who I loved when I was younger when it originally aired, and now I love her for completely different reasons (also see Shii Ann and Eliza.) Like, there are times when I do feel bad for her like when JoAnna put her hand in her face and all that, but there are just soooooooo many moments where Christy is just the most annoying woman on the planet. Here are a few I can remember off the top of my head

-complaining about how nobody wants to work on the shelter and then blatantly refusing Deena's offer to work on the shelter hours later :joker:
-constantly making comments at NuTambaqui in front of Heidi and Jeanne that the guys have been so much nicer to her than the girls at Jabaru were
-suggesting that they draw straws to determine if Butch or Roger will go home in episode 5, only to use two straws of the same length
-walking up to a sobbing Jenna and Heidi after the Alex blindside and going LOL SO YOU NEVER KNOW WHO TO TRUST, HEY? :) :) :)
-excitedly telling her boyfriend I'M IN THE FINAL FOUR!!! in her boot episode :joker:
-expecting everyone to come to her begging for her vote and then not committing to a single plan, which ends up in the whole tribe uniting to get her out <3
-hysterically crying in her final words about she's *NOT* going to let one of her evil stepsisters win, and then voting for Jenna to win :joker:

Amazon is an amazing season and Jaburu is without a doubt one of the best tribes ever. EVERYONE delivers <3333

I finished the first two episodes of Pearl Islands moments ago and I can already see why people label it as the best season. The mad dash in the market was such a perfect way to start everything :love: Sandra taking control and speaking Spanish like she knew everyone there personally :love: Trish getting hit on by one of the shopkeepers :love: Tijuana forcing the same shopkeeper to hand her money back and then stealing a pot when she doesn't :joker: :love: Russell pirating :love:

I quite liked Nicole but I'm not too fussed about her being the first boot. She was a bit of a mess, which was fairly amusing to watch. But it feels right for her to be a first boot.

Poor Skinny Ryan, I felt sorry for him in the second episode. I didn't rate him much in the first, but his relationship with Lillian was quite sweet. And it must suck being told by the majority of your tribe that your not cut out for the experience when there's someone else wanting to quit and literally telling people to vote for him.

Right now my favourites are Christa, Lillian, Russell & Sandra. I know/have heard a lot about Russell & Sandra so it's good to see them in their glory and begin the road to becoming Survivor legends :flutter:

...but tbh my main thought is that Christy really was a missed opportunity for all-stars #justiceforchristy #whereischristyssecondchance?

mhmm that's what I love about Christy. Like, on the surface she's so easy to love because she's the outcast deaf with with an OTT positive edit. That's exactly why I loved her when I was like 11 or however old when the season aired. Then when I went back and watched this year and saw The True Christy in spite of her edit, it just made me love her even more :joker: it's the same thing with Shii Ann, where on the surface it's so easy to love her because she was isolated on her tribe, but then when you watch with a more astute eye you realize that she's ****ing grating and is all bark no bite and it just makes me love her even more. Her insistence that she's a huge threat in puzzles despite never finishing one, proudly announcing that "when you mess with the Shii Devil, you get the horns" right before bursting into tears after being yelled at by Robb, it just all works for me.

Your PI faves are all spot on :love: Andrew Savage ****ing blows and I hate that the male returnee list was just that dreadful that I voted for him (mainly for the DILF factor.) It will be interesting to see if he's matured at all and is willing to give anyone the time of day who isn't pretty or seemingly athletic (I say seemingly because lol at Osten actually being athletic out there.)

The season as a whole is very good, I totally understand why people say it's the best season. However, I do feel that because it was hyped up so much, I expected it to deliver even more.

Don't get me wrong, the season had many stand-out moments. I loved The Outcasts twist but was already savvy to it before starting the season, and I knew who would come back as a result. Maybe if I was aloof to what was going to happen I would have appreciated it a lot more. But in the long run I admire it dearly because it brought back my Lill <3 and a fairly good character in Burton.

Tijuana's boot episode is now my favourite Survivor episode of all-time. The vote had my heart pumping, and it would have been perfect if all the girls turned on Burton & Jon...but oh well. It was amazing from the moment where Sandra threw the fish away in spite of the other's voting Rupert out :joker:, bless Christa having the blame put on her :p

I have mixed feelings about Jon's 'grandma lie', like I just find it shocking that someone would go to that extreme, but then it was Jon so it just slightly accentuated the character he was fulfilling so w/e. His grandma's appearance at the reunion was great.

The cast was the strongest yet imo. Lill, Sandra, Christa & Rupert were my top 4 (in that order). I loved T & D, especially post-merge. T was such a great CP/narrator to the game, and D despite being so utr was a great presence. Like, I'm obsessed with the way she talks, the way she's so non-chalant about everything and the fact that she's a mortician :joker:

Andrew really was the only dud of the season. Ryno was too but he was just boring to me, Andrew was just an entitled prick which is way worse. It annoyed me that Jeff was up his arse so much at the reunion. Like a I didn't care the Shawn got so much attention because he was at least an interesting character throughout his stay.

Burton was at his best during the middle of the game. I didn't rate him that much in his first four episodes, but he really grew on me after The Outcasts twist. Although, I was annoyed with his last few episodes where he was such a little bitch towards Lill. Him & Jon as a duo were pretty annoying but it was worth while to watch them fall from grace.

Trish was my favourite pre-merge boot <3 but I wasn't that sad to see her go. I didn't want her to **** up the Rupert/Christa/Sandra clique. Michelle was okay, I thought I'd resent Skinny Ryan after the first episode but he turned out okay too, Nicole had a satisfying first boot arc.

Osten being the first person to ever quit was pretty interesting. I didn't want to see him moping around during his stay and it was blatant that he'd given up, but I do feel that Jeff unfairly pushed him into it for the sake of interest of the show.

...So onto All-Stars. I'm actually really excited to start it despite it's reputation. I know I will probably end up hating it like everybody else, but so many of my favourites are returning. I can't wait to watch and analyse how different they are. It's what makes all-star season so special because I love to see how different they are in comparison to the first time around.

Same with Alicia, I'm surprised Jenna even hugged her when leaving.

But I suppose that goes to show how good of a person Jenna is after all.

I'm content with All-Stars as a season, but I'm yet to get to the merge, and I'm pretty sure it gets worse from that point. So I'm not looking forward to that, really.

Just out of curiosity; what was the public reaction to the all-stars at the time? Like I gather that Rupert was still really popular, Jerri was still really unpopular, etc. but did the casuals turn on Kathy as much the forums did? Did they love JLew as much as I did? Did they eventually end up hating Tom because he's a piece of ****? (:fc:)

All Stars is complicated because I don't even know who is being editing to look good/bad.

Just focusing on the Sue incident she really didn't get much sympathy at all but I think it was just result of the time period. The season aired in 2003 and obviously a lot of things that were okay in 2013 would not be okay in 2015. Nobody really saw it as a sexual assault and a lot of people just thought she was crazy and overreacted and whatnot. I don't even think Kathy's comments even registered that much with the general viewing audience because they were just throwaway comments in confessionals that I doubt most viewers even remembered.

And yes, Rupert was still absolutely loved and Jerri was still absolutely hated. The reunion is an over the top indication of the latter, and the special after the reunion is an over the top indication of the former.

Like, in a way I do feel sorry for them both (moreso Kathy), but they were complete morons to not see that coming. Jerri is a prophet, and if she tells you that someone is gonna back stab you, they're probably gonna backstab you...and lol, Boston Rob ended up doing so exactly like Jerri told Lex he would.

tbh, as a whole the season is okay. idk if it's because I went into watching it with the mindset that most people think it's terrible (and I do get that), but I am finding it pretty satisfying. With the way things are turning out, that could change. The boot order is bad. But I enjoyed the merge episode, so who knows?

I've just finished watching Alicia's boot episode, and my God she's hideous in it. Especially when she was giving Shii Ann attitude for celebrating her victory. idc how much she was rubbing it in everyone's face, they made it blatant that she was leaving so she had every right to gloat.

She's just such an ugly person on the inside. I didn't like how she was so rude towards Jenna either, which then leads me to the ever so complex Alicia/Jenna/Shii Ann hate triangle :joker: I really don't know how to describe my feelings towards it, but it is something that interested me throughout the episode. Like, Alicia is definitely the worst out of the three, because she's such a miserable, unlikeable entity. But then after finishing the episode I felt really annoyed with Jenna & how she tried to make Shii Ann feel like ****, as if she deserved to go home, and how much of Chapera worshiper she is. So I kinda get Alicia finding her annoying...I suppose this all leads to one thing; Shii Ann being amazing :flutter: my god, her winning that immunity challenge has to be one of my favourite moments of the season far.

As a whole, the season wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. I think going into it with low expectations ultimately made the whole thing a bit more satisfying. There were moments I would rather forget, like the whole Richard/Sue situation, and the boot order isn't as desirable as it could have been. But generally I kinda liked it, dare I say.

The Chapera tribe is what ruined the All-Star experience for me. Saboga wasn't that enjoyable either, but the elitism and continuous success of Chapera is potentially the downfall of this season. Mogo Mogo was my favourite tribe in terms of interest (especially because of Richard :love:)

I actually grew to like Amber & Rob during the merge, but wasn't so fond of them at the beginning of the game which explains my mixed feelings towards them. In a way I'm glad it was those two in the final tribal council, only because it brought a really entertaining one. Like, I dislike Tom & Alicia but these moments were stellar:

Alicia: 'scuse me?!
Rob: COM-petitively

Like, I h8!! really h8 Tom! But I've been saying that line all day :joker: and it probably makes it even more amusing that Rob got back at him at the reunion :love:

Jenna Lewis was amazing to start off with, definitely the shining star of Saboga imho. But then fell slightly when she joined Chapera. She was still a nice presence to watch, but I swear the Chapera tribe could kill anybody's likability. Her disdain for Shii Ann was also slightly off-putting, but their utr feud was quite enjoyable to watch.

Rupert was really dissapointing after his Pearl Island appearance, probably the biggest dissapointment of them all. His righteousness did not come across well this season at all, and when he wasn't being annoyingly arrogant he was just a mere background character with nothing to him. Not impressed.

Tom is awful, and nothing really needs to be added to that. Apart from the fact that his son is just as awful, and his name is literally 'body odour'.

Shii Ann is a goddess, plain and simple. Her immunity win at f7 is probably my favourite moment of the entire season. And the quote "*scoffs*Stupid people*scoffs* STUPID people, lemme say that again. Stupid players!" is amazing :love: + I think she loved Richard Hatch just as much as I did, and her hatemances with Alicia/Jerri/Jenna.L were all brilliant.

Alicia sucks in All-Stars, like I feel as if I could ironically like her, but she is just so unlikeable it's hard to do that. I kinda appreciate her hothead moments, but they rarely happen and she just makes herself look stupid with them. And then 3/4 of the time she's just a background character with nothing to her at all.

Kathy was a let down this season. I LOVED Marquesas Kathy, so it was sad to not like her as much this time around. Although I have to say, her jury speech did ~touch~ me.

Lex is an idiot, and I'm glad he called out at the reunion.

Jerri was okay to begin with, but it was sad to see her so bottled up. I was happy to see the really Jerri return when Saboga was disbanded :flutter: I just love that she has the ability to run people up the wrong way so easily, even though she's literally harmless :laugh: & her reunion speech was on point :flutter:

Ethan was really, really likeable, and I know that's like his thing but I actually like CP/scheming Ethan mixed with his likeable personality.

Colby redeemed himself from his initial season, where I wasn't fond of him at all. But then ruined things by going against Hatch :( and then in his boot episode went totally bitchy against the females.

Sue :( I actually loved her awkwardness within the Chapera tribe. She was the only redeeming factor to making Chapera somewhat bearable. But then it turned dark :( & it's sad that Sue went through what she did, but it's just soooo set apart from the game I just was happy that she was able to get away from it.

Richard :flutter: he is the epitome of all-star, and I am so glad his appearance on All-Stars did not hinder my opinion of him (apart from the Sue incident, which was an inexcusable action), his second appearance made me love/appreciate him even more. It's so rare that someone's arrogance can translate to charm, butmRichard does it so easily. And I love that he's a 'gay stud' & 'The Provider', he really is my all-time favourite Survivor thus far. + he was amazing even in his last few minutes of the game..."I've been bamboozled!", "good on y'all -whacks Colby on the back-", "Food, food, food:dance::dance:" :joker:

Rob. C was a non-factor this time around, which is a shame because I like him as a character. But he was already getting wind blown up his ass for the way he played first time around...he didn't need a successful all-star position to make his head even bigger.

Jenna. M :( her All-Star story is so sad, and I do not think she made a mistake by coming out to play. I can't imagine all of the thoughts running through her head. On one hand her mother is dying at home, but on the other she's received a big compliment by being invited to play a game that provided so much...and a game that her mother was happy to see her play.

Rudy's two-episode arc was good. And I have respect for him to come out and play at the age he did.

Tina is meh.

I really, really enjoyed it. For a season that doesn't have much hype surrounding it, I wasn't expecting much. But now I feel that it's quite underrated within the Survivor community. The gender divide actually worked well, although I wasn't looking forward to watching another male vs. female type thing so soon. I enjoyed the long-run of the season much more due to the tribe split, and Yasur may be one of my favourite tribes to endure so far. The scenes with Dah were great, I loved that they sang him off the beach :joker: but the general craziness and dynamic of the all-female tribe was just fun to watch :love:

I don't think Chris deserved his win, and personal feelings from the jury unfairly cost Twila of hers. I don't see how people can give any credit to Chris' game when Scout basically offered him to ride her & Twila's coattails, and Twila was the one who figured that they needed Eliza's vote. He just did a good job of arse-licking when it came to the ftc (and I love Scout for calling it out).

Ami Cusack may be one of my favourite Survivors of all time, definitely (at this moment) in the top 5 somewhere. I just love how much of an alpha-female she is, but also how she comes across serene whilst doing so. Any moment involving Amy was a good one, like when she passively told Lisa she was voting her off right to her face :joker:, John. K putting the immunity necklace around her, to which she couldn't have looked more disgusted for whatever reason :joker: & calling out Travis for being such a dumb ass :flutter: she really was an ethereal goddess who was amazing whenever she was on screen :flutter: :love: :flutter:

Also, this season brought my favourite loved one visits. The whole thing was so emotional, from Twila saying she can't type, to Scout & her lesbian lover being reunited :love: Oh, and when Eliza's mum left and then gave her the shirt of her back :love:

I'm almost done with Worlds Apart and good lord the merge is just tough to get through. Everyone's spiteful and mean and it's just really personal and not fun. Of course that makes Mike's win even better and more righteous but he's a huge idiot and not really "deserving" in that he had to win a bunch of Challenges to make it to the end.

Blood vs. Water might be the most average season ever. Like, it is a season of Survivor. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think she's pretty ordinary and simple and not a legitimate personality or anything. She just doesn't interest me at all. Her gameplay was also kinda gross to me? Like, she went from not wanting her own mother to come back from RI to turning on her only ally to turning ON HER OWN MOTHER to taking an obvious fourth place in an alliance of four to then realizing she was ****ed and forcing a tie, and then to actually deciding that she wanted her mother back after all?

Taking out Laura reeeeally doesn't sit well with me. Ciera didn't gain anything from it and people actually trusted her less because duh like her own mother couldn't even trust her, and it was just a really unnecessary move. Here's a basic timeline of The Ciera Thing...

Ciera: YOU WANNA VOTE OUT MY MOM?!?!?!?! :D

Yeah, I definitely get that Ciera had a lot of interesting (to some people, at least) **** happen to her but she really isn't all that interesting herself to me. She's a good script delivered in a pretty lackluster way. I don't think of the Big Moments that she was the focal point of (mainly voting Laura out and the rock draw like you mentioned) played out well at all so ultimately I don't really care. She's really scrump and I don't think she's really worth the price of admission iykwim. But, like, of course she's returning. The whole idea they kept pushing with Blood vs. Water was having to choose between the two (as if water is actually symbolic of anything :rolleyes:) so of course Ciera is praised, she made the theme worth it. It's like in BB16 how they conveniently stopped Battle of the Block after Christine took out her co-HoH Nicole when they the tagline for the whole season was YOU COULD GO FROM HOH TO ON TH BLOCK IN THE SAME WEEK :o :o :o

You should've saved Heroes vs Villains until you'd watch a few prior seasons like 7, 12, 17 etc because, even though it's great, it does have spoilers of previous seasons and it's more enjoyable when you've watched the contestants on their original seasons first and then see them come back.

When I first did a Survivor rewatch I started from 1 and went all the way to 27 and caught up just in time for the start of 28 :love: I definitely don't regret doing that, it made it much more enjoyable imo.

When I first did a Survivor rewatch I started from 1 and went all the way to 27 and caught up just in time for the start of 28 :love: I definitely don't regret doing that, it made it much more enjoyable imo.

I might rewatch Survivor China before Second Chances airs because I'm excited to see Queen Peih-Gee again <3

Spencer Cagayan is one the worst people on Survivor. EVER. I hate him more than I hate Hantz.

uh the real star of Cagayan is TRISH of course. I think it's an overrated season though, the post-merge is wayyyy too centric on two people I don't really like. I think SJDS is much much better.

Also Gabon is waaaayy tooo overrated. Overall the whole season is just complex and not anything special. The ending ruined it and pre-merge was pretty boring. It's not close to a top 5 season tbqh.
