The charge carries a punishment of up to 5 years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines.

The reason for EC3’s horrendous main roster booking has been revealed thanks to Jon Moxley’s now legendary Talk Is Jericho podcast appearance.

The former Dean Ambrose noted that WWE booking EC3 to beat him in two minutes on Raw instantly turned fans against the newcomer.

At house shows, heel Ambrose was cheered and EC3 was booed by fans when they wrestled. In many towns, Ambrose was the most over babyface on the show.

“It turned you into a martyr” observed host Chris Jericho.

Moxley agreed. He said that fans had become aware of him leaving (thanks to a bizarre WWE press release) and they could immediately see that WWE was trying to bury him on the way out.

Moxley said that fans refused to play along. Even though he was a heel they cheered him because they appreciated everything he had put his body through to entertain them over the previous eight years.

EC3 was immediately pushed down the cards and rarely allowed to wrestle on television from that point on.

Dave Meltzer followed up on the EC3 burial on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying that WWE gave up on the NXT graduate immediately when the win over Ambrose received a negative reaction.

“The very next week or the week after they beat EC3 with a guy that was leaving the company. That’s a 100% what happened. It’s ridiculous.”

“So to them, after a guy that has one TV match that was two and a half minutes and he’s not getting cheered at the house shows, to then give up on him, that’s insanity, but that in fact, is exactly what they did.”

Also, Luke Harper, despite announcing he had requested his release weeks and weeks ago, has still not been let go by WWE. The company even added an extra six months on to his current contract to make up for time he was injured... They're basically keeping him around out of spite.

Add Sasha Banks to that list too of course, though it seems likely she's returning soon after having meetings with Vince/HHH.

Jon Moxley's Talks Is Jericho shoot interview hit the wrestling world like a mortar blast last week, and it sounds like the former Dean Ambrose's pointed diatribe against WWE Creative has had an impact on the promotion's locker room.

This is according to Fightful, who spoke to several wrestlers and other WWE employees in the aftermath, all of whom shared the sentiments put forth by Moxley on the podcast.

One even claimed that the interview "broke their heart" as it perfectly reflected their own feelings, though they are ultimately glad that Moxley got the story out there.

Another WWE employee approached Fightful directly, stating that if things don't improve, they'll be leaving when their contract comes up, adding that they've already "mentally checked out" of the promotion. They cited the "frustrating job" and the "tough time" they have answering to Vince McMahon, claiming that the Chairman has built an infrastructure calibrated to make him unreachable.

Fightful don't mention him by name, but the response to this story has led to speculation that Rusev is among the upset wrestlers. This shouldn't be a surprise, given his lack of TV time, and it wouldn't be the first time he has been linked with a WWE exit either.

Might be worth noting that Rusev and Lana have been confirmed to be at the next event hosted by Wales Comic Con (usually in my town but I think this one's in Telford for a one-off) so they clearly are looking for other things to do to fill their time...

Seth Rollins recently did an interview with Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated Media Podcast and the big takeaway from the podcast chat was his response regarding his former Shield companion Jon Moxley’s comments about WWE creative. Seth talks how he absolutely loves Moxley, but felt that how Mox handled it much differently than how he would. Quotes are below:

“Ambrose can do what he wants. He’s a big boy, he’s got his big boy pants on. He can go out there and say whatever he wants, but the bottom line is not everybody’s equipped to handle the rigors of WWE and the schedule and how it affects you mentally and emotionally. And Ambrose gave everything he had to the company for the entire time he was here. He put his heart and soul into the travel, into the schedule, into the injuries, into the work in the ring and all that stuff. But at the end of the day, he took his ball and he went home, or he went elsewhere at least. Honestly his entire attitude just stinks of "well i've always been in a good postion in the comapny so see no issue with it". If his own tag partner saying he was pushed to the point he physically couldn't bare working for the company anymore isn't enough for him to stop and think there might be a problem I don't know what will.
