That main event was fantastic. Both proved why they're the best in the business. I'm so lost for the words because the potency of the match itself and how Sasha and Bianca executed their talent was beyond incredible.

I get why Tamina and Natalya won, and Tamina definitely deserves her moment, but The Riott Squad were exquisite throughout the turmoil match and deserve better than playing second fiddle. I'd say the chemistry they had with Dana and Mandy was actually the best part of the match, tbh. Felt so sorry for Mandy slipping over, lol.

To be fair, I don't think it's anything to do with jokes.

This is what they do with everyone, just chuck all of your stuff into a bin bag like rubbish and mail it out once they're done with you but Mickie has nothing to lose now so has called them out on how undignified it is.

The fact that HHH and Stephanie have felt the need to publicly voice that someone's been fired on Twitter to me screams PR stunt just to save face (couldn't they have just DM'd her or called her privately to apologise?) because they've been caught treating employees like trash - LITERALLY.

Backstage News On Today’s WWE Releases

WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan reportedly led a meeting at WWE HQ today where decisions were made on the talent releases that have been confirmed.

As noted, WWE released the following 13 Superstars this afternoon – Killian Dain, The Bollywood Boyz (Sunil Singh, Samir Singh), Marina Shafir, Arturo Ruas, Curt Stallion, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Ever-Rise (Chase Parker, Matt Martel), Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, August Grey.

Khan let a meeting earlier this afternoon and made decisions on multiple cuts, according to Fightful Select. As of this afternoon, there were apparently more names set to be released that had not been confirmed, but there were also several names that ended up being released, who weren’t leaked via sources, and at times this year there have been wrestlers who were “saved” from the chopping block at the last minute.

It was also noted that several of the WWE 205 Live Superstars released today were on higher contracts than WWE had been giving out for work on that brand as of late.

Today’s releases were a part of ongoing budget cuts, like other recent departures, according to Jon Alba. The cuts were apparently in the works for some time. As we’ve noted, Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast reported that more cuts were to be made back on June 2 when Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Lana, Santana Garrett, and Ruby Riott were released.

Regarding non-compete clauses, word is that Nese has a 90-day non-compete, while Grey has a 30-day non-compete. Dain revealed that he is under a 90-day non-compete as well. Wrestlers under the 30-day non-competes will become free agents after Friday, July 25, while wrestlers under the 90-day non-compete clauses will be free agents after Thursday, September 23.

WWE PRESIDENT NICK KHAN ‘WILLING TO TAKE THE HEAT’ FOR MASS RELEASES

WWE released a mini-roster’s worth of Superstars from their contract today and more could be coming. This all stated after WWE President Nick Khan demanded that they release more people during a meeting eariler today. The list is apparently a long one and more Superstars could be on the chopping block.

Nick Khan, who just bought a second home in California, is apparently willing to take all the heat for firing people today. He was the one in the meeting today who pushed for more releases and that is exactly what happened.

According to a report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Khan is 100% willing to take the blame for today’s cuts. He also didn’t seem to care about the current situations that each released Superstar is going through.

“We were told that Nick Khan specifically is willing to take the heat and did not seem concerned about prior plans, projects, who the person or married to, how long they’ve been signed, or what they have going on.”

Fans are not happy about this situation and they are blaming Nick Khan as well. His name trended on Twitter within the pro wrestling bubble for a while today for that very reason. The jury is still out regarding what Khan’s endgame is with all of this budget slashing, but it is certainly creating a WWE that runs on a lower budget.
