Good win for the Blues today Mockster!
It really was, I feel like one more win and a draw should be enough to stay up now.
And congratulations to Rangers today as well LT.

I really thought that Hibs were going to stop them today.
Sadly it looks like next season is gonna have to be the time for Rangers to try and win the League.

the guy is 22, he is years off his peak yet ......
A furious Antonio Conte says his players are "selfish" and Tottenham "can change the manager but the situation cannot change" in a stinging criticism of the club's culture.
The Spurs boss said his team "don't want to help each other" after a 3-3 draw at Southampton on Saturday.
"Tottenham's story is this - 20 years there is this owner and they never won something. Why?" Conte said.
Spurs had led by two goals at St Mary's but conceded twice in 15 minutes.
"The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stay here?" said Conte. "I have seen the managers that Tottenham had on the bench. You risk to disrupt the figure of the manager and to protect the other situation in every moment.
"Until now I try to hide the situation but not now because, I repeat, I don't want to see what I have seen today because this is unacceptable and also unacceptable for the fans."
Tottenham have won one trophy since the ownership group, chaired by Daniel Levy, took over the club in 2001 - the League Cup in 2008.
They have had 11 different managers in that time, including three since the departure of Mauricio Pochettino in 2019, who took them to the Champions League final before being sacked six months later.
Spurs are out of all cup competitions this season with Sheffield United knocking them out of the FA Cup before AC Milan ended their Champions League hopes - and Conte said it is time for the club and players to start taking responsibility.
"Not only the club, the manager and the staff. The players have to be involved in this situation because it is time to change this situation if Tottenham want to change," he said.
"If they want to continue in this way, they can change the manager, a lot of managers, but the situation cannot change. Believe me.
"Maybe previously in the other games something can change. But here we're used to it for a long time. The club has the responsibility for the transfer market, every coach that stayed here has the responsibility. And the players? The players? Where are the players?

"Maybe previously in the other games something can change. But here we're used to it for a long time. The club has the responsibility for the transfer market, every coach that stayed here has the responsibility. And the players? The players? Where are the players?
"In my experience, I can tell you that if you want to be competitive, if you want to fight, you have to improve this aspect. And this aspect, I can tell you, in this moment is really, really low. And I see only 11 players that play for themselves."
When asked why this is the case at Tottenham, Conte said: "Because they are used to it here, they are used to it. They don't play for something important here. They don't want to play under pressure, they don't want to play under stress."
Spurs remain fourth in the Premier League and had the chance to go above Manchester United into third with victory over Southampton, but during his damning media conference after the match, Conte said if their current form continues they will be lucky to secure a Champions League spot at all.
He said: "There are 10 games to go and some people think we can fight. Fight for what with this spirit, this attitude, this commitment? What? For seventh, eighth, 10th place?
"We are 11 players that go into the pitch. I see selfish players, I see players that don't want to help each other and don't put their heart.
"I am not used to this position. I'm really upset and everyone has to take their responsibility."

I understand his frustration though.
I honestly don't get the point of teams like Tottenham taking part in a competition to just not even really try to do the best that they can.
Especially when teams with less gifted players in their squads like Newcastle, Brighton, Fulham & Brentford are really pushing to the top of their limit.

That is some incredible stats considering that we've still got two more months of games to go.
Just watched two sending offs from yesterday . .. both given as yellows I think ..
Both are absolute leg breakers and both are result of the ridiculously lenient officiating these days !!!

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson says he has "never felt old enough to retire" as he prepares to return to the dugout on Saturday.

Creating chances is definitely a positive, because the worst for Chelsea would be for them to not be creating any chances, or only a few chances in the match.

this season has been a real rollercoaster
Tuesday's Premier League matches will briefly be paused for Muslim players who have been fasting during Ramadan.
If clubs have requested a stoppage before the game, the referee will signal for a break, allowing Muslim players to eat and drink at pitchside.
Everton's game against Tottenham was stopped in the 26th minute to allow players that had been fasting during the day to take on energy supplements.
Three Muslim players were in action for Sean Dyche's side at Goodison Park.
Although sunset was before kick-off, allowing players to break their fast, a drinks break was pre-agreed with the referee when both teams - including Toffees trio Abdoulaye Doucoure, Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye - came to the side of the pitch to take on fluids.
Play does not stop while matches are in mid-flow, but at the earliest convenient moment during a goal-kick, free-kick or throw-in.
Teams and match officials will discuss beforehand whether a pause is required and an approximate time for the stoppage will be agreed.
With the 19:45 BST kick-offs on Tuesday coming close to sunset, an agreement might be reached to delay the start by a couple of minutes to allow players to break their fast, which was the case in Friday's Championship game between Burnley and Sunderland.

Nottingham Forest say Steve Cooper remains manager but "results and performances must improve immediately".
Forest, beaten 2-1 by Leeds United on Tuesday, are 17th in the Premier League, above the relegation zone only on goal difference.
In a statement, owner Evangelos Marinakis said he wished to end "false and disruptive reporting" about Cooper's future.
Forest have not won in eight games, the longest winless run in the top flight.
Cooper joined Forest in September 2021 and guided them to the Premier League for the first time since 1999 in his first season.

one who resigned himself
FC Utrecht: Henk Fraser resigning, his replacement being Michael Silberbauer
and one quitting due to medical reasons, a small tumor in his head (surgery so far so good btw) Henk de Jong, his replacement being Sjors Ultee at SC Cambuur
at Vitesse, Thomas Letsch left to sign in bundesliga with VFL Bochum, his replacement in arnhem being Philipp Cocu

Arsenal were by far the better team in the first half. The penalty was a joke. If anything, i think it was a foul on Holding. That ball was no ones ball so how the ref gave a pen is beyond me.
It feels like two points lost. IF you'd have asked before the game if I'd accept a point at Anfield I'd have snapped your hand off but to go two nil up and not win.
I didnt like the Arsenal tactics in the 2nd half. It let Liverpool back into the game. You cant park the bus for 45 minutes at Anfield. When we played our football we outplayed Liverpool. We had 4 shots on goal in the first half, The lopsided xG is cuz of the tactics.

Arsenal should have gone down to 10 men but let's not talk about that, they was even paying the officials to elbow our players in the face

Liverpool expected goals were more then double of arsenals we just wasn't putting the chances we had a wayxG was high due to Arsenal parking the bus. You had one shot on target in the first half. Jesus also missed a quite easy chance at the far post. It should have been 3-1 at half time to Arsenal.

IN the first half when we were running TAA ragged we should have scored another. He's becoming a bit of a liability in defence

Better possession
More shots
More shots in target
More passes
More expected goals
More clear cut shots
The most important stats we were ahead so tell us Arsenal deserved to win?
2 games in a row they got lucky against us and the ref clearly picked his side

2 games in a row they got lucky against us and the ref clearly picked his sideAnd again, most of these were in the 2nd half after Arteta, for some strange reason, went ultra defensive after dominating the first half. The times when we played our football we created chances.
Dont mention the ref. Another weak ref influenced by the Anfield crowd. What did he book Saka for? Yet Henderson was chirping away at the ref all game.
Lets face it, Liverpool are a shadows of the team from the last few years. There are clear weaknesses in this team and I cannot understand why our manager didnt go more cut throat after effectively exposing these weaknesses in the first half. You were allowed back into the game. Why, I dunno

i think the fact that arsenal dont have europe midweek will give them a bit of an advantage

No further action will be taken against assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis following an incident involving Liverpool's Andy Robertson, the Football Association has said.
Hatzidakis had been stood down while an investigation was held after Sunday's match between Liverpool and Arsenal.
He made contact with Robertson's chin after the player approached him at the end of the first half at Anfield.
"I look forward to returning to officiating matches," Hatzidakis said.
"I fully assisted the FA with their investigation and have discussed the matter directly with Andy Robertson during an open and positive conversation," the match official added.
"It was certainly not my intention to make any contact with Andy as I pulled my arm away from him and for that I have apologised."
The FA said it had reached its decision after thoroughly reviewing all of the evidence.
"Our comprehensive process involved reviewing detailed statements from Liverpool and PGMOL, as well as multiple angles of video footage, in relation to both the incident and its surrounding circumstances," an FA statement said.

From what I can see, Arsenal has the more difficult run-in. I can't see Man City dropping many points in their games.I don't think there is such a thing as a more difficult run-in. You all play the same teams twice over the season. You can only beat what is in front of you at the time. If you're good enough to be the best team then you will win whomever your opponents are.
it will come down to injuries in the run in. The team that avoids injuries will win
Can West Ham shake it up today?

great recovery from West Ham. Advantage City
Well well well :smug:
Our best performance of the season I think, players were brilliant to a man after going 2-0 down. Even the likes of Kehrer and Cresswell I feared for before the game did very well for most of it

You cant go two up, two weeks running and get pegged back two weeks running. If you're champions material there needs to be a mentality that kicks in that you're just not gonna allow it to happen. Doesnt matter how well the opposition play, doesnt matter how much the crowd gets into it, doesn't matter what Xhaka did. Arsenal cannot squander leads like they're doing.
The title is Man City's to lose
arsenal had the killer instinct earlier in the season, when they won with the last kick of the ball a couple of times, so something has certainly changed

Manager is too scared to sub off Starboy.
Holding scares the life out of me. Any half decent striker can give him the run around. Today and lest week show how important Saliba is to the team already. It also shows our lack of depth. If one or two of the starting eleven are out, we're not where near the team that was top dominating in the early season

But being that Arsenal play City in the run in, if Arsenal win their remaining 6 games, they'll win the league. Same applies to City. If they win their remaining 8 games, they'll win the league.
