It's a crucial area of the pitch to have a weakness.
Which midfielder would you personally like to see at Liverpool?

Bellingham 100% and Laimer but at this stage I'd take anyone who can pass a ball and stay fit

Bellingham is a great fit I think too.
Tbf to the midfield though, I do think that the club is missing Mane.
I think Klopp saying that liverpool should have won the game is in the land of fantasy for anyone that actually watched it. Man U were far superior to liverpool on the night

I hope Bruno Keeps the armband, he is a great captain
I think it will go to Casemiro once he settles in because he will be the steadying influence in the centre of the park. Either way, it shouldn't be Maguire.

he should be careful saying things like that
the ones above him (his bosses) might not appreciate that
i also think Klopp's time in Liverpool is slowly coming to an end, i can see him going back to Dortmund soon, where he is always welcome by Zorc and the one who played under him now in a technical function Kehl
I think it will go to Casemiro once he settles in because he will be the steadying influence in the centre of the park. Either way, it shouldn't be Maguire.
Casemiro will be the obvious choice for many reasons

We don't miss Mane, he went awol for 18 months before AFCON which people conveniently forgot our issue is have to many player who spenf more time in the treatment room then on the pitch

He was your best player along with Jota towards the end of last season, what are you on about? Of course you miss Mane.
there is going to be more and more pressure on Nunez to perform when he returns. Add on the fact that defenders now know how to wind him up and it's not looking very optimistic for liverpool in the near future. I would say that they will be lucky to end up in the top 4 at the end of the season

He had a strong end 6 months out of 24, there is nothing to suggest he would make a change and I kinda believe he upped his game for a big move

Fair enough.
I do feel that he was a good partner for Salah though imo.

Front three has to be Martial flanked by Rashford on the left , Sancho on right .
Also given how well Casemiro and Fred link up with Brazil it seems the obvious partnership in midfield plus Bruno

Chelsea's home game with West Ham on Sunday has been moved forward to Saturday by the Premier League following the Champions League draw.
The game was due to be shown live by Sky Sports this Sunday at 14:00 BST.
It will now take place on Saturday at 15:00 because the Blues face Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia in the Champions League on 6 September.
Chelsea and West Ham United fan groups described the late date change as "totally unacceptable".
"The lack of planning and foresight has had an awful impact on supporters," said a joint statement issued by the Chelsea Supporters' Trust and the West Ham United Supporters' Trust.
"Tickets have been bought, accommodation has been booked, travel has been paid for and plans have been confirmed."
The new date and time means the London derby will not now be shown live on television.
Instead, Sky Sports will show Brighton's home game with Leicester on Sunday at 14:00 - with no change to the date or kick-off time.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is "pretty sure" new signing Darwin Nunez will not lash out again if targeted by Everton players on Saturday.
The Uruguay striker, 23, is available for the Merseyside derby after serving a three-match suspension.
Nunez was sent off on his home debut last month for headbutting Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen.
"Will it never happen again? I don't know, but I am pretty sure nothing will happen in the next game," said Klopp.

Arsenal can't compete with city over a season. League was over as soon as Liverpool dropped points in the first 2 games. Years of complete underfunding and being outspent by the likes of Villa, Brighton, wolves, west ham, will always catch up eventually.
Klopp do another miracle, isn't now, and has never been a sustainable model for PL success.

Chelsea have spent silly amounts this window. I think the only excuse we can possibly have is it's a "transitional season". Anything below top 4 is an utter failure though. And next season we need to be challenging.
I know Denver said you don't miss Mane, but i think you miss him quite a lot. I think with a lot of the mid level teams, they just don't care when playing the top 5 anymore. They play more aggressively with the fear of losing not really worrying them. It's great for the game as a whole tbh.
i think this season has been great because you really don't have any certainty what a result is going to be

The prob with Chelsea was the scattergun approach to transfers. There didn't seem as though there was a plan. It was just buy him, buy him, can't buy him, so we'll buy that other one instead. Might take a couple of years for the new owner to calm down and start implementing a real strategy.
Obviously we miss Mane, but the problem has always been sell to buy, so it's always one out, one in. We have 87yr old Milner getting more minutes this season than he has for years. I was talking about these problems 3/4 years ago, and this was always destined to be the end result. FSG convinced fans that not improving the squad was the best way to improve the squad. We'll get back on form and prob finish top 4, but the squad is a shambles, and FSG will no way in hell pay the money required to fix the issues.
liverpool could suffer badly in the champions league this year. I think competing on all fronts is going to be a big ask this season

Well it was an impressive point for the Vile today.
The one weakness Haaland might be giving Man City at the moment is the attackers keep looking for him to score rather than sometimes passing to a player who's in a better position than him.
city just had a bad day at the office yesterday. Simple as that

I read that they have been TOLD to look to him first … which may explain your point .
Obviously Walker didn’t get the email as he smashed his opportunity into the stands instead of sliding Haaland in a tap in early on .. it would have been a different game if City had gone one up after about 7 minutes.
Those dropped points are firmly on Walker’s shoulders imho
It’s not as though is position is under threat and he felt like he had to score either ..

A few of the pundit team seem to do that, it's bizarre
United were good … but I thought Arsenal played amazing football for the majority of the game but were caught out when they were playing catch up ..
Have to say that the Martinelli goal was incorrectly disallowed .. they went back to that soft ‘coming together’ when there had already been about 50 stronger ‘coming togethers’ before that one .
They have relaxed the rule on physical contact to let the game flow and try and control all the diving / feigning injury so they can’t go back to how it was and call it a foul on Eriksen !! He didn’t blow for a foul in real time so it’s ridiculous to disallow a flaming goal for that minuscule contact .
I also thought that Saka was fouled twice I the box but the ref waved play on both times - the second time he was clearly injured and needed extensive treatment .. why didn’t VAR check them anyways ??
So confusing.
Also .. Martinez took Jesus out after just 1 minute 34 seconds of the game starting .. if you watch the replays he actually stamped on his ankle .. yet only a free kick given !
Martinez was involved in one of the two Saka penalty claims .
-
Jesus was clearly being targeted and was kicked from pillar to post all day - and got zero protection from the ref .
Late on McTominey actually whacked Jesus from behind before THROWING him to the ground .. it was his 20th foul and finally got booked .
It wasn’t all one way ( just 95%) as Bruno was taken out by a dangerous looking high tackle ..
I think the refs have lost the plot .. it’s like the old days when the defenders were allowed a couple of really bad tackles at the the start of every game !!
Trouble is we all want to see fabulous, flair players and creative midfielders but some are gonna get injured due to the lenient officiating.
Martinez must think he’s landed in heaven as he’s been given free roam to just kick anything that moves !!
You know what he said in an interview when he signed for United ??
He said that he was very committed and didn’t mind walking over corpses to get the ball !!!!
Rant over !!
I still think Arsenal will win the league aa long as their forwards aren’t injured by defenders …

And if we're being honest any successful team (including Man City) needs a mix of playing styles in their squad.

Tbh in yesterdays match both teams would've had a few players sent off if the Referee was going very literal with the rules.
Plus the weaker team needs to be able to use more "sneaky" tactics to make the game even be competitive.
Because let's face it, if that Man Utd vs Arsenal game had a "clean" version then yes Arsenal would've won the match with the more skillful players, but the match would've been less competitive which in turn makes it more boring to watch.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I support players doing potential leg breakers on their opponents, but I honestly don't mind a bit of physicality in my Football matches.
But then again I'm a Birmingham City fan and we're 100% rage in the way that we play.
Well my mate Sterling has been pants so far .. I wouldn’t be sure to see being subbed at 60 minutes !
He misplaced his first four ‘attempted’ passes to a teammate including one ‘hospital’ ball for Kovacic who’s just Bach from injury… then he went on a mazey little run but didn’t look up and ran into two defenders .. then one useless cross into the box with Aubameyang waiting in oceans of space ..
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Sterling got even worse in the second half and was subbed off after 70 minutes with Chelsea still 1:0 down !!

So because of that idiotic decision to suspend ALL football last weekend and a few this weekend ( children’s included) despite all other sports going ahead as normal .. plus pubs / nightclubs/ bookies all traded as per normal..
We now face the very real prospect of having NO replays in the FA Cup for this season .
The fixture pileup from the suspended games plus the World Cup will be horrendous..
It also means that many little clubs won’t get to make a small fortune from swapping their home fixture to a big team’s ground
