i think he knows his career is better served at Brighton. It's always flattering when a big team shows interest, but he had a long contract and the teams weren't willing to pay the fee needed. The only team willing to go to any lengths to get someone are chelsea and they are probably going to be more selective in the future

i think he knows his career is better served at Brighton. It's always flattering when a big team shows interest, but he had a long contract and the teams weren't willing to pay the fee needed. The only team willing to go to any lengths to get someone are chelsea and they are probably going to be more selective in the futureI'm surprised he signed an extension. 85 million was always too much for him, so I thought it was a bad move to not sell him. His previous contract ran out in 2025 . So this time next year he'd have had 18 months left on his contract. They were never gonna 85 million in that scenario.

Good luck to him, but I'm not sure staying at Brighton is the right move. Most that have left have gone on to greater things. Except Maupay, of course :laugh:

Yeah sadly I found a stream so watched it live, not sure I can remember a worse all round performance in the last few years. Ben Johnson was our worst player, he was basically responsible for the first three goals

Rice did have a bad game but last week he was brilliant so it's not like he's constantly putting in stinkers. Pretty sure he generally covers much more ground than any other player

Fernandes threw his hands in the air as he saw it was Rashford, not himself, that was being taken off and it was the final nail in the coffin for Neville, who described the Portuguese’s actions as ‘disgraceful’.

There’s an interesting story doing the rounds .. regarding my mate ( not ) Declan Rice .. … who is likely to pay £120 - £150 million plus for his services plus astronomical wages .. West Ham have an offer of £200,000 per week ready to sign

West Ham have insisted they have never once received a bid or an enquiry for the midfielder and the hype surrounding Rice has softened somewhat lately.

His stock has fallen with some of the top pundits around and journalists in the know claim “the industry” value Rice at between £60-70m rather than the £100m plus West Ham would want to sell him.

Basicaly blaming Cucurella for his poor from.

His Ukrainian Club owner/coach had also made comments that I suspect Potter may have not liked.

Watching Arsenal now .. Saka continued to get hacked down match after match and the defenders rarely get booked

I just don’t understand why the officials have gone from being too picky in recent seasons to being far , far too lenient this season.

You can literally kick someone up in the air from behind and nothing happens but a little tug on a shirt and they get booked


To make matters worse the refs seem more likely to penalise a tackle from a striker like Trossard who rarely fouls anyone than someone like Koulabaly who routinely punts strikers up in the air without a second thought

You're right, Saka is getting horrible treatment from players and refs.

He doesn't go down as easily as Grealish and say Zaha, so doesn't win as many free kicks. Saka always tries to ride the first tackle. He's got this great move where he traps the ball with his right foot and that sends it away from the defender who then has to foul him to stop him, he's also surprisingly strong, you can just knock him over

I reckon almost every time you see Saka on the ground he has been genuinely fouled and I reckon 50% are bookings. Throw a feather at Grealish/Zaha and they go down like they've been shot.

Saka has the football brain of a 30-year old. 150 Million minimum if anyone wants him. After Bellingham, he's probably the best player under 21 in Europe.
