Didn't Chelsea do something similar? They also sold a hotel to themselves to beat FFP. Newcastle and Aston Villa did some dodgy player sales to each other last season to cook the books too. Thoughts on the England Lionesses keeper admitting to the media today that she used the dark arts to get a massive ( ultimately UNFAIR) advantage to win the Euros !?


Basically at the start of the penalties in the final the England keeper noticed the Spain keeper had put her drinks bottle near the goal … it had all the details of the England players penalty preferences so she lobbed it into the crowd behind the goals!!

The Spain keeper was immediately confused even distraught and never recovered


The England keeper had her opponent’s penalty preferences written on her arm !!


I personally don’t like this revelation at all !!

If I were the other keeper ( given the importance of that competition) I would be tracking her down to have a word !

This was premeditated cheating though

They spend hundreds of hours gathering data on the penalty habits of every player possible

( some only take them in penalty shootouts)

They put the notes for the appropriate team on the bottle… the English girl was out of order knowingly preventing the opponent from checking whilst referring to her own data on her arm


I hope she gets a lengthy ban for bringing the game into disrepute

I don’t like any kind of cheating but given the seriousness of the this incident ( winner takes the trophy ) I think it’s despicable

The way that I see it, is that we've seen players dope, dive, and have magic cramp when their team is winning with 5 minutes to go.

All of that is far worse in terms of cheating, yet the Sport allows them to go on every week.
