Im not mocking Barcelona, some of my greatest football memories involve Barcelona vs Chelsea on CL nights years ago. It's just true that Real Madrid are a better team than Barcelona right now. Same way Liverpool are a better team than Chelsea right now.

ffp rules are what is holding back newcastle, not the manager
But he’s still got a great group of players ( thugs) even after the injuries.. that all teams are experiencing ..
I think they’ve LOST ten out of the last 12 games which is horrendous..
How many managers would still be in charge I wonder !!
Their next game is AWAY to a rampant Aston Villa team so things could get ugly real fast

If Chilwell can avoid injury for more than 5 minutes he'd be right up with the top full backs in the world. Same as James tbf.
Thiago is constantly shouting instructions, pointing the way and moving people around so I’ve no idea why he’s not the permanent captain !!

In one sense that statement is correct. This is a new phenomenon. The apocalyptic overtones are risible, though. Anyone who has attended football regularly for any length of time knows that people die at matches. It’s just that in the past the game continued on, oblivious to their fate.
After more than 50 years of match-going, I tallied up some of the obviously fatal situations I’d witnessed over the years when health issues caused death. The most poignant one that came to mind on Saturday occurred at Craven Cottage in 2005, during a 0-0 draw between Fulham and Charlton Athletic. Returning to the seat after the half-time interval, it became clear that a man three seats away had turned unresponsive during the break. The stewards alerted St John Ambulance medics and they tried to revive him for 20 minutes while the action continued on the pitch. The vast majority of those in attendance were unaware anything was happening.
Going further back, I recall two people dying on the old standing Kop at Liverpool in the 1970s. Spectators often became ill or distressed on the standing terraces. If the crowd was sparse, police and medics would hurry up the steps to attend to them. For big games, where it was impossible to penetrate the swaying mass, the patient would be hauled up by those around them and passed down over the heads of the crowd to the side of the pitch. The majority of those afflicted were fainting victims who were revived easily. Nevertheless, there were times when the ambulance staff became embroiled in intense attempts to resuscitate people behind the goal. The game went on merrily, without most of the crowd, the players or the referee showing the slightest of interest in their fate.

It started after the covid break. Everyone laughed at me when I highlighted it then.
Because it's one of two things.
1. Covid itself having long lasting effects on the Human body, which is entirely possible.
Or.
2. It's the Vaccines somehow causing it.

Kyle Walker has apologised to his family for "idiot choices and idiot decisions" following weeks of speculation about his private life.
The Manchester City player admitted in an interview to an extra-marital affair with TV personality Lauryn Goodman.
"What I've done is horrible," he told The Sun, apologising to his pregnant wife Annie Kilner, with whom he has three children.
It follows a turbulent period for the England defender.
The 33-year-old told the newspaper: "What I've done is horrible and I take full responsibility.
"I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can't begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I've tried to ask her but there's pain and hurt."
Speaking out in the hope of giving privacy to his young family, Walker continued: "My actions have caused a lot of pain to a lot of people. I'm sorry because, as a family, this isn't meant to happen."
Walker and Ms Kilner, who first met as teenagers, are reported to be spending time apart as she prepares to give birth.
"To not be there when she needs me the most, but to know that you've caused that hurt, that's something I have to live with now," Walker said.
The newspaper reported that Walker has fathered two children with Ms Goodman during his marriage to Ms Kilner.
Walker said: "I take full ownership of the choices that I've made that have hurt other people."
In 2020, Walker apologised for breaking coronavirus lockdown measures, telling BBC Radio 5 Live: "They were bad decisions from me at an important time for the country."
Last year, police announced the footballer would not face criminal charges over newspaper allegations that he indecently exposed himself in a bar.
The right-back, recently voted by other players one of the eleven best players in the game, helped Manchester City win the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

These people appear to have self destruct buttons .. he’s practically got the world at his feet yet he’s somehow evolved into a simply despicable human being . Throughout his long and unbelievably successful career his selfishness and poor judgement means he hurts family , friends and even completely innocent strangers.
He’s arguably the best RB in the world, plays for arguably the best club team and is part of arguably the most talented international team , he has untold wealth plus supposedly a wonderful , long suffering wife and three young children…
Yet instead of being a happy , all round good guy and maybe giving his time and money to maybe helping various charities he acts like a stupid , selfish imbecile

Man Utd should look at Troy Deeney or Wayne Rooney.
But being serious, I would say that Man Utd might want to think a little outside the box, they keep going for all of these trendy Managers or well known Managers and none of them are working.
I think that they should take the gamble on John Eustace, I know people will laugh at that suggestion, but he did well with us under BSHL in his first season, had us in the playoffs before being unjustly sacked, and he did really well as caretaker boss at QPR (it's how he got the Blues job) plus his Football at Kidderminster was seen as similar to the style of Football at Barcelona, obviously at a much lower standard, but still he can play good Football when he feels like he has got good players for the League in question.
Obviously the owners would need to be patient with him as it's not going to change over night, but he was a popular guy behind the scenes at Blues with the players, he might be what Man Utd needs right now.

Anyway there was a disputed penalty decision were the Bournemouth defender clipped the calf of the striker and brought him down..

Also, KDB and Salah went elsewhere in Europe after Chelsea for a few years thus gaining valuable experience and improving their game. Of course Chelsea letting them go was a shame for Chelsea, but they're in the minority of players who are let go and go on to be world class players.

We did good business letting the absolute no more than average Jorginho go to Arsenal, and Kovacic to City. Us buying Palmer was also the best business we've done in years. Imagine if Chelsea were actually decent, imagine how much better Palmer would be?!!
I found out some more why Palmer went to Chelsea. He came from the youth system, like quite a few others from city such as Sancho. When they sell them for decent money, its pure profit and does wonders for their FFP figures. City have sold a big proportion of their academy players and now it makes perfect sense

Spurs players actually attempt to injure opposition players with their tackles. And every time they play Chelsea it's the same. They go out to break legs and intentionally hurt Chelsea players. It's well known by everyone but you it seems. The dirtiest performance ever in the PL was at the hands of Spurs against Chelsea a few years back.
Phillips barging into the back of Nelson flattened him .. right in front of the ref who didn’t even speak to him

Not sure it’s a good idea to bring on a 16 year old kid in this atmosphere
He’s presumably up against Coufal ! !!

Phillips has kicked about 7 people yet no yellow
He’s left his foot in every tackle

Phillips kicks the kid up in the air and the ref gives Phillips a stern look !!!!!!

Phillips finally booked for a dreadful tackle , going through the back of Nelson
This ref was far too lenient

I'm still backing Moyes though
Absolute madness that defenders have to slide into block the shots with their arms behind their backs !!

“ In the wake of their latest “embarrassing” result, supporters have taken to social media to slaughter the Scotsman, and many want him booted out of the club immediately”
Maybe Michael Carrick !!!??
Ex player who has his teams playing football

Interesting shout, his stock is probably heading in the right direction but would still be very reluctant about him making the leap. People majorly underestimate the importance of a known quantity in management imo
Potter would still be the outstanding choice for any decent Prem team I'd say

I think before today our fans were probably 50/50 on Moyes, they're probably 65/35 in favour of him out now. It's only one result but humiliation is tough to take
One more example of weak reffing in the African cup final …
40 seconds of extra time left and the Ivory Coast player taking the free kick took ages then walked away to leave it to the keeper xx
The ref saw the obvious gamesmanship and booked the guy but didn’t add any time on !!!!

Wow Darren Moore is back in management ..
… with a 6 year deal up into 2029 !!
Why would they give an out of work manager such a long term contract ??!?
His new team is 5 points above the bottom three teams so could have a been worse

Surely the Brighton guy would be better

Manchester United's squad last year were the "most expensive ever assembled" in football, says a Uefa report.
The European Club Finance and Investment Landscape report says United's players at the end of their 2023 financial year cost 1.42bn euros (£1.21bn) in combined transfer fees.
The 2020 Real Madrid squad were previously the most costly at £1.13bn.
United's squad included £82m Antony, £80m Harry Maguire, £73m Jadon Sancho and £70m Casemiro.
The total does not include £72m Rasmus Hojlund, £55m Mason Mount or £47m Andre Onana, all of whom joined in the 2023 summer transfer window.
United finished third in the Premier League last season, their first campaign under manager Erik ten Hag.
The reports says three other squads - Manchester City, Chelsea and Real - cost more than £1bn in transfer fees.
Chelsea's figures go up to June 2022, meaning the £850m they spent from the summer of that year to August 2023 is not counted.
After years of recklessness in the transfer market ..
United are supposedly going all in for the guy at Newcastle who identified and rubber stamped the £65 million purchase of a young Italian player who had a severe gambling problem and was subsequently banned for the season
