Well I don't have sky one so couldn't watch it but I’m downloading it and I’m up to eppy 6 but USA are weirdo with TV cos every 6 eps they have a break so there having a break until Feb. so I wont be watching it till February and I think that means sky one will show 6 eps and then have a break as well :hugesmile:

Just watched Episode 8, the one to be aired Sunday and it is a great episode, the one after that is going to be even better aswell as at least 3 questions are going to be answered for us.

Did anyone see the youtube vids of when that dude was in that confind room watching the TV (Carl)? Apparently when you play that scene backwords you can clearly hear the word's "Only fools are enslaved by time and space" also bearing noises which sound like the plane crashing...

OMG! That was a really amazing episode all the little things like the time on the clock (108) and the beeping noise from the microwave. It was amazing. But i thought his flashback went on a little bit too long.

I got soo confused at the end with Charlie - he didnt go in to save Claire.:shrug:

Ive wanted Charlie to die for ages but thinking about it now, i dont want him to! Anyway i found the episode rather confusing, but still probably one of my favourite so far.

I wrote up my interpretation of the episode for a forum... I'll post it here to see what you think

Desmond has a fate/destiny in this world, which he has to follow. His life is a series of choices, and if he makes the right one his life continues as normal. If he makes a WRONG decision based on his fate, he relives his life from somewhere in his past, with the SOME of the memory he has from the future.

The confusing(?) thing is that he has probably relived his life so many times. We know this because he says 'let me go back... just ONE more time, please'

Some of the scenarios that have happened:

1) He doesn't marry penny. He goes in the army. He goes to jail. He goes on the boat race. He ends up on the island. He is forced to turn the key. Turning the key is one of his destiny decisions. If he doesn't turn the key he dies, so he has to turn it. When he turns it, he has some flashbacks (basically irrelavant) and then wakes up in the jungle and can continue his life.

2) Charlie dies and gets hit by lightning. Desmond's destiny is to make sure Charlie doesn't die. So after Charlie dies, he relives his life KNOWING that lightning is going to hit him. So he's not seeing the future really. He then builds the conductor and saves Charlies life.

3) Charlie dies from drowning. Again, it's Desmond's destiny to save him. So his life is relived until he remembers that Claire is going to be drowning, and he runs and goes and saves her, preventing Charlie from drowning.

Random things that tie in to this:

1) Desmonds repeated use of the phrase "See you in another life, Brother" - fits in with everything I wrote above.

2) The skeletons found in season 1 in the cave ('adam and eve') could be from one of Desmond's destinys which have gone wrong. Maybe Penny found the island (we know she is looking for him) and they both died in that cave. The skeletons were found with black and white stones, which represent Right and Wrong (decisions)

3) There has always been a theme on the show of destiny and choices, mainly with Locke in season 1 and 2. We never really knew where this story was leading, but maybe now we do.

4) The guy in the red shoes had to die. Desmond's subconcious (represented by the old lady) knew that he had to die for his life to continue, so he had to let him die. I guess we can assume he saved him in the past by letting the guy know about the scaffolding, and now realises his life will just loop back if he does that.

The only thing that blasts this theory is trying to understand the time perspective of everything that's happening. Is everything thats happening on the island only from Desmonds time perspective? I dont know :(

Theres rumours that Charlie will die in episode 16 which is rumoured to be titled "The Truth About Lying". Interesting title, maybe Desmonds lying about Charlie! Hopefully. I dont see what Charlie has to lie about.

Episode 14, which will be shown on Sunday here is another excellent episode I thought. This series has been really good since it came back after the break. Usually there is a lull mid-season but not this year.

Lots of stuff about the island and definately a subtle appearance by the monster I thought with the spider and the ending... buried alive. Very creepy.

I think they were introduced to try and bring more storyline to the show, but fan's reactions on forums and the internet in general were they didn't like them. I guess the producers responded by getting rid of them!

I really liked season 1, so the episode was a great way of bringing old people back (boone, shannon, arzt) - revealing a few things (ben/juliette in hatch) and then writing off niki and paulo!

Can't wait for next ep :)

I liked that episode but not as much as recent ones. Best bit was the monster slamming into the fence thing and it looked like there was more than one monster that came together.

The monster looked like it was 'scanning' Juliette. I wonder if it is because it can't get into the Others village, or because Juliette has now joined the 'flawed' group.

I can't help thinking that Jack has been brainwashed also cause he seemed a bit too pally with the Others in previous eps.

I doubt that's the last we've heard of Sawyer's child either!

It doesn't take two years to shoot it; it takes about August to April each year, as they film about five episodes ahead then we see. So they're currently filming the last two episodes.

How can Mikhail be alive again? Does he have a twin?

Naomi (new character) saying there were no survivors of the crash? I reckon they found the plane but they didn't find any of the passengers. They either found fake wreckage or the wreckage that floated out to sea. They can't be starting up the purgatory theory again, can they? There must of been a fake crash organised.

Why did Desmond want Mikhail to leave so much? Did Hurley fire the distress flare deliberately?

If Sun terminated the pregnancy would it save her life?

Why did Sun agree to the scan with Juliet if she thought Jin was infertile and also didn't know about the healing properties of the island?

Questions, questions.

Oh and I'm sure they filmed the Jin's father fishing on the pier in the same place they filmed the submarine arriving at the island in a previous episode. Noticed that before.

James what I got out of the "There were no passengers" was that the others having communications with the outside world could have made it out that they had found the airplane with no survivors...

I also thought with patchy (can't spell his name) is he might have bit of a power like Desmond as he can see flashes of future while Patchy might be able not to die....

I also hope Sun doesn't die as she's one of my favourite characters. But she said so I have 2 months left their planning 5 series I think and each series is on the whole a month hopefully they might be off the island by then? If they get off that is....

Lost will come to an end in three years' time, producers have announced.

The deal with US network ABC is for three further seasons, each of sixteen episodes, culminating with the series finale in 2010.

The news essentially marks a compromise between production and the network: the former having been keen to set an end date to ensure quality of story, with ABC wanting to keep the ratings powerhouse a part of its schedules for as long as possible.

With shortened seasons - a Lost season normally runs to 23 or 24 episodes - the actors involved also have time to pursue other projects alongside their Lost duties.

"In considering the powerful storytelling of Lost, we felt this was the only way to give it a proper creative conclusion," said Stephen McPherson, president of ABC Entertainment. "I always said that we would allow the series to grow and give viewers the most compelling hour possible. And, due to the unique nature of the series, we knew it would require an end date to keep the integrity and strength of the show consistent throughout, and to give the audience the payoff they deserve."

As part of the deal, showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have signed on for the remainder of Lost's run. "We always envisioned Lost as a show with a beginning, middle and end," the pair said in a statement. "By officially announcing exactly when that ending will be, the audience will now have the security of knowing that the story will play out as we've intended."

I was impressed by it... but just the ending was something I can't get my head round... i'm not sure whether I liked it or not....

I can't beleive charlie died in the end. Such a shame he was a great character! But he died saving everyone else....
