I did wonder why ,as soon as that tarmac hit its legs that the dog would not automatically jump up and try and flee, it's a strange one,my dog sleeps soundly but as soon as he hears the tiniest noise he is awake, we will never know but I truly hope it was dead before the tarmac was laid.

Yes,could have been or the dog was hurt before the tarmac was laid,poor,poor animal.
