This is why science and logic works and superstition and religion does not....
Science and religion aren't antithetical, most of the great Scientists in history were also Christians; Galileo, Newton, Darwin etc.

I don't believe in a Christian God, but there is yet to be a Scientific truth that contradicts the possibility of something existing beyond our understanding. I wouldn't attribute the kid's visions to something supernatural though, I think it's more likely the brain was playing tricks on him. Sad video all the same
