Today we present to you The Music Box, A new way for the forum to play, share and experience a whole new variety of music the members of the forum love most.

The Music Box is already a ready made feature on the forum, But nothings been expanded on it since its inclusion. The foundations are there for something great to be created & taken advantage from. Our creation brings a whole new dimension for music to be viewed on the forum. Regulars to the forum will know outside of Big Brother, Music is the biggest part to the forum. It creates countless discussions and it has allowed members to be introduced to music they never knew existed.

Most members will be aware of ******** and Last.fm. Our idea brings these two extremely popular websites together to create one unique section to the forum. For those that aren't aware of either website, ******** allows groups of people to join rooms and listen to any music from Youtube freely. They are able to join queues and they are given the option to judge what they are listening to by either clicking "Woot" (like) or "Meh" (dislike). Last.fm is a website which connects to peoples iTunes and allows them to keep records of what they've played. It puts songs into different categories, Most played weekly/monthly and yearly. It also keeps tracks of their most played artists of all time.

Our idea is to empower people from around the forum to share music in a community environment. When members choose to click on the Music Box, it'll take them to a new section of the forum. There will be a great variety of things do to.

Playlists:

Members will be able to create and save their own playlists to the forum, This will run on an SMC player. An SMC player is a small bar that either runs at the top or bottom of your screen. It has the basic pause, start and skip functions as well as the name of the song being played. It is a very smart and thin music player designed to allow you all of your screen space whilst also being able to control the music. Playlists will be created using Youtube URL's. This insures there is no illegal music being downloaded and members will be able to also listen to music for free this way. The useful thing about the SMC player is that no videos will pop up, Just the audio and the ability to listen freely. You will be able to put together your perfect playlists. The next stage to this will be Music Records. Everything thats played on the forum will be stored and added to the Music Records. This will run on a similar format to last.fm. Members music will be stored in lists of categories, There will be 2 options to view most played from personal choice and including everyone else's music from around the forum daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. There will be two sections for this, Artists and Songs. This allows members to get a rough idea from whats popular and whats not from around the forum. Who and what will be the most popular song this week? Who will be the most played artist this month? What will be the forums most played song this year? You will all find out.

Music Box Hosting:

The second main section to The Music Box will be Music Box Hosting. This will give forum members the ability to create rooms with their friends to host, play and share music. It will run on a similar format to the famous ********. Up to 50 members will have the ability to join a room at a time and you will either have the option to relax and listen to others in there sharing and playing their music or you can get involved yourself and share yours. The Music Box Hosting will connect to your original playlists you've created and it will play music from there. We believe having the option to create rooms to share with your friends will benefit the forum instead of sticking to one room. Not everyone shares the same taste in music, this allows those that are into different genres or maybe share similar taste with other members to freely play their playlists without having to worry about other members not enjoying what they're playing. A chat box for this won't be introduced like they have on ********. This is likely to cause a diversion from the forum and threads may slowly decrease. A 'Music Box Hosting' thread in the music section will be created. This gives members the option to post once they have opened up a new room and allows us to discuss the records section. Members of the forum like to discuss their favourites and give arguments why they think their artists are better than others. Now you will be able to compare you're favourites popularity on the forum to those of others.


There are endless amounts of fun to be had from this. It will increase the activity of the forum and it'll enlighten members to different types of music they've never experienced before.

Plug allows people to use a chat box and it takes all attention away from the forum. During nights on here when members go into plug the difference in activity in threads is massive. There won't be any of this anymore.

Last.fm will still be there for individuals to use, but as of yet there is no way to make comparisons on the amount of music we've listened to as a forum. As music is one of the biggest factors to the forum i can imagine quite a few people would like to see different records over weekly, monthly and yearly periods.

I believe so. The Music Box is something which people can still recognise, woth the same idea remaining. It gives the promise that users will be carrying out something similar to what was available before, only heavily improved.

The foundations were already created, there was never anything built onto it for it to become successful. The changing of the name wasn't necessary.

Hello investors, I'm Mitchell and I'm working alongside Vanessa to pitch to you our idea of what should replace the now defunct MusicBox.

We all love catching up on the news on TiBB, we all love playing games on TiBB, so me and Vanessa wanted to come up with a simple idea that could mix them together.

That's why today we present to you, the TiBB Times!

The TiBB Times is a brand new enewspaper designed to provide the latest TiBB news as well as other things such as columns from our favourite posters, TV gossip and others.

I'm going to go through the items we have planned and tell you why they are there.

Please note that these are in no particular order and are not in the order they will appear in the paper.

TiBB News
First up is the latest TiBB news, this will be compiled by myself and Vanessa.
It will feature all the latest TiBB news such as games that are happening, popular threads that week and much more.
During the BB series we will also feature the popular 'TiBB Nominations' and will write a feature about the winners week on TiBB.

Every week we will have a 'Bizarre' styled column where Smithy discusses all the latest Music news in the industry.

There will also be 'Single Of The Week' and 'Album Of The Week' as well as the previous Sundays charts.

We believe Smithy is the best person to write for this as they are such a dedicated music fan and stays in the loop with it all, so is pretty much perfect for the job! (Plus Smithy is a Kelly Clarkson stan so you know ;))

Showbiz
We will have our weekly Showbiz reporter, they will share all the Showbiz news.

This section will be aimed towards what '3am' currently is doing, just with their unique touch!

We believe the person we've asked is the best person for this job as she is always commenting on the latest fashion and celebrity news and we are sure her sense of humour will be well received with the TiBB community.

Horoscopes
Everyone loves reading horoscopes (well not everyone, but a lot of people do!) so we thought we'd get our own Mystic Meg to tell you your future for the week ahead!

Unfortunately Mystic Meg was otherwise occupied (Something about tying her shoelaces that week), but instead we've got the second best thing, TiBB's very own JackF!

He will be providing humorous and lighthearted horoscopes weekly for all you people who want to know how many chickens will cross you in the road that week!

Kazanne's Column

I know Kazanne well and know she has an interesting life, so it makes her the perfect candidate for a blog/column like this!

LostAlex's Topical News
Every week LostAlex will be breaking down that weeks headlines and giving his opinion on them in his column.

The stories featured won't be too serious, but will be news such as Girl Guides adding a body awareness badge from this weeks news.

We think LostAlex is a brilliant addition to the paper and suits this column so well as he is always discussing these news stories in the TiBB forums.

A Week In The Life Of _____

Every week we will have a guest column by a guest writer, they will tell us what has happened in that week for them and give us an idea of what their life is like.

We believe featuring a guest every week will make the paper last longer with readers as it won't be the same faces every week.

TV News: In Association with Telly Planet
Part of our paper is TV news, I will be providing the TV news which will feature some soap spoilers and news on various TV shows.

We will also have rumour roundups for Strictly, I'm A Celebrity and obviously Celebrity Big Brother during rumour season.

Our TV coverage will be provided by my own website Telly Planet, therefore it will be the pages sponsor to make the paper easier to produce every week as the coverage will be syndicated from the site.

Cookery Corner
Every week it will be someone's turn to share their favourite recipes.

Whether its cooking salmon (please note, not Salman, we do not condone any eating any human beings) or baking cakes, we'd like to share your recipe with everyone!

This feature will start off with our very own Vanessa telling us her favourite Italian recipe

What we aim to achieve
We aim to provide an epaper which provides everyone with their latest TiBB fix, with funny columns such as the horoscopes and Agony Aunt parts as well as an insight into various members lives with Kazanne! and our guest column.

What It Will Look Like[/U]
The paper will be made on a programme that allows us to put all of the content into one online newspaper.

The front cover will feature whatever stories are big that week, along with the logo, the week and other important details.

Other Details
The paper will be released every Tuesday.

Every week articles will have to be submitted by Saturday evening, giving us time to make alternative plans if certain parts aren't completed.

I think that this is a unique idea that TiBB would get behind and love and I hope you will too.

We will be adding other sections hopefully as we go along, depending on feedback.

1. I'd like to feature Z and Firewires day out, it seems a fun story that would be fun to cover and to read about :)

Good Evening Investors, Me & Jordan have been working hard for the past couple of days and are now proud to present, what we like to this is a new forum friendly, exciting concept for TiBB's MusicBox!

Ever since it's demise back when TiBB moved server many years ago there has been a question mark over the MusicBox's future. Many didn't like the original MusicBox and described it as boring, clunky, an accident and as one member put it bluntly "****ing ****" however others have been curious to see it back and in an updated form. Now our fresh, clean and simple design and idea provides a new perspective on TiBB's MusicBox.

Moving from it's older playlist type format the new MusicBox centres around requesting songs based on daily themes as well as rating these requests and also chatting with other forum members directly in a 'Shoutbox' all in live time, with every member listening to the same song at the same time! There's a section for current trending artists, also allowing members to look back at what artists were being discussed on the forum at different times of the day.

Below are simple descriptions of all the features that are included in the new MusicBox

Themes - Various themes will be used on the MusicBox and will change daily, the purpose of the themes is to add a bit of fun, introduce members to genres they wouldn't normally listen to and also stop any arguments that may occur over the music choice being played. It gives everyone a fair chance to listen to the music they like. Themes can be discussed and voted upon at any point on the forum. It is advised members stick to the themes and any trolling of the requests feature will be dealt with by a moderator.

Requests - Request are time based therefore it'll be first come first serve. Requests can simply be made by inserted an audio file from your chosen device and uploading it to the MusicBox, they must be related to the current theme of that day.

Trends - Whilst not directly linked to the MusicBox the trends feature will be linked to the most active and recent threads that are currently made in the music forum so you'll never miss any of the latest talking points. Trends will be automatically updated every hour, on the hour.

Trends Archive - Again whilst not directly linked to the MusicBox the trends archive will give members the option to look back and see what artists were being discussed at what time.

Shoutbox - The Shoutbox is a way to chat directly to forum members whilst you enjoy listening to the music, preferably the discussions will be mostly music related as to not detract from the general chat threads on the forum. The shoutbox will also be moderated.

Changing Colour Scheme- The ever changing colour scheme makes the MusicBox feel fresh and new every time a new song plays. The colour scheme is based on the 3 most present colours in the single cover of the song that is playing, standing out clearly on a black background ever time! As you see in the photo above the 3 main colours on Britney Spears' single cover for 3 are Pink, White and Black. (The blue and white font will remain with everything else changing colour)

Rating/Ranking system - When a song is playing members will get the options to rate the song, this rating then adds to an overall ranking of all members who have participated in the musicbox. The member with the best overall ranking at the end of the year will carry this award on their profile to show their achievement. http://i.imgur.com/iGSvZoA.png

Times- The MusicBox is NOT designed to play 24 hours a day, the idea is it would be open it at various times during the week. (forums most popular times) That way it gives time for members to request songs.

It can be open during the mornings as well as the evenings. It will be different times on different days throughout the day. An hour here and hour there. I just feel you lacked any actual creative flair with it, I mean it just seems like it is Plug on here. Also I found the answers to the questions a little lacking in detail. We are "investors", you were meant to be selling this to us and it I feel your effort was underpar, and this comes from seeing you all in other games.



Vanessa/Pothutic: I like idea, I really do but I struggle to see the viability of this working on TiBB, I feel interest in it would feign very quickly. That said I like the effort you have both put in and the promptness you gave with your answering of questions.

Jordan/Lewis: Took your time answering my question. :idc: An idea similar to another teams (cannot be helped I know) but I have to say I preferred yours. My issue is with the copyright.
