...having said that...
...she could have been the ‘Lazarus’ and he brought her back to life, rather than cured her...
You mean in Season 2 that she might have come back? I suppose when you think about it, he's not actually cured anyone, everyone he's helped so far it was by bringing them back from the dead
Watching the Sopranos which my son recommended ages ago but I couldn't get it into it on first watch, but hooked now
I’ve got the boxset of Sopranos !!

I've started a re watch of 24, as there are 8 series of 24 episodes, and covid has killed the shows I'm waiting for new seasons of.

You should watch 24 - easily the best out of that, suits, or mentalist. Suits 2nd, and mentalist a distant 3rd. There are only about 2 episodes in each season of mentalist that move the plot, the rest is just Simon Baker thinking he's Derren Brown.

I have caught episodes of The Mentalist out of order, and tbh my main issues were the fact that the leading lady and the two that liked each other didn't seem to display a lot of personality.
I have never seen Suits tbf, but the description of the lead sounded a bit terrifying no offence.

Lucifer, rounding up with season 4 now
i am loving it more with the Netflix original series revival era, first of all longer episodes of 50 minutes which is fab, and it is really more FOX their loss, and our win, these eps feel darker, more horror-ish what it basically needed, but still the nice CSI-ish ways too in it
enjoying every ep loads still

To be fair, I’m coming towards the end of a full rewatch, and I think it’s still a GOOD show at its core. It was “excellent” up until Season 7, but I think later seasons have suffered from being compared to how good it was in those first few seasons. Taken in their own merits, it’s still good TV. Other than some of those bonus episodes this year. I appreciate what they were trying to do - give us something extra because of Covid delays - but only about half of the episodes added anything at all to the show.
also I think writing Carl out was a major narrative error, no idea why they did it

I'm on season 4 atm, just finished episode 8. What an episode it was! The Governor has been such an amazing villain, I really hated him so much. I actually thought he would redeem himself after Lily, Tara and Megan took him in and they found Martinez and his crew, but he was just using them for revenge against Rick. The way he killed Martinez and Pete and then took charge of their camp like it was nothing. And Mitch doesn't even try to avenge his brother, he just completely forgets about him after the Governor kills him and becomes fiercely loyal to him. That was bizarre.
The battle at the prison was spectacular! Poor Hershel, such a fantastic character. I really didn't want him to die. Season 4 has been fantastic so far.

Succession - fantastic drama about a powerful new York right wing media family which seems to be loosely based on a mix of the Murdochs and Trumps. It's basically about family relationships and dynamics.
2 series of 10 episodes each, with the 3rd season starting in the autumn, and I can't recommend it highly enough..

Gintama - I'm on the last arc, and I've got to say it has been a very good Show overall. I'm not gonna lie I've had issues with the Anime at some points (understandably given it's meshing of so many styles) but overall the Anime is very well made imo with some fantastic humour, and in later on arcs some great action & storytelling as well.
Beck - I've watched the first two episodes so far and I personally have enjoyed both episodes, it's not gonna be to everybody's taste, and in fairness neither episode blew my mind, but it's doing the basics right which is good characters that you don't want to throttle, and a decent story for what it's going for. Plus the OP & ED are both amazing imo.
To Your Eternity - Again I've only watched the first two episodes so far, and I know that it was seen as the number one Anime of it's season so there's a lot of hype going into this one. The first episode imo was okay but a bit slow paced for my taste (an interesting conclusion though) but the second episode surprisingly pulled me in, I really like the setup of how they've got this particular story going at the moment, I'm hoping that it can keep it up for me.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer - I've let my family convince me to give this Show another chance after failing to get into it years ago. And imo after watching a couple of episodes of Season 2, it's fine for what it is doing, but for me I personally get irritated whenever the Show tries to go dramatic (in particular with Xander being the worst offender) when I personally enjoy the Show more when it is going either psychological or just a bit kooky with it's concepts. For me the only characters I've not wanted to throttle so far are Giles & Willow, Giles in particular is a character that I do really like.
Gungrave - Again I've only watched two episodes of this Anime so far, but it is definitely my least favourite at the moment surprisingly. My main issue with the Show is that Brandon has no personality, and the episodes travel at a snail pace. However the conclusions to both episodes have been good so I'm hoping that's a sign that the Show will start picking up for me.
I'm mainly watching Anime because there's only so much American TV that I can handle.:joker:

Anyway here we go.
Gintama - I've finally finished it. What an Anime, yes I've had moments that I've not liked, but when you've done as many episodes as this Show has that's bound to happen.
My top 5 Arcs:
1. Shogun Assassination
2. Farewell Shinsengumi
3. Kabukicho Four Devas
4. Thorny
5. Character Poll
My bottom 5 Arcs:
1. Jugem
2. Kintaro
3. Okita Mitsuba - Controversial opinion.
4. Beam Sword Style
5. Santa
My top 10 Characters:
1. Gintoki
2. Hijikata
3. Shinsuke Takasugi
4. Sasaki Isaburo
5. Shinpachi - I really took to his character more than I thought I would.
6. Katsura
7. Kondo
8. Yamazaki
9. Kagura
10. Shigeshige
I've given up on Beck, Gungrave, Vivy, & Pet for various reasons.
To Your Eternity's arcs I'd rank like this so far.
1. Spirit Bear Arc - 10/10
2. Jananda Island - 8/10 - I'm only a handful of episodes into this Arc so far.
3. Takunaha Arc - 3/10 - A big misstep from the Anime imo, it doesn't need to have six episodes dedicated to it and I'll always stand by that.
Id:Invaded is okay, there's nothing else to really say about it tbh.
And Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Season 1 - 6/10
Season 2 - 6/10
Season 3 - 4/10 (only 8 episodes watched so far)
Admittedly I've still got two episodes to go with Season 2, but so far the Show doesn't blow me away, it's not horrible either for the most part, it's got things that I like and things that I really don't like about the Show.

2. Becoming Part 1
3. Passion

12. Innocence
13. Phases
14. Some Assembly Required
15. School Hard
16. Reptile Boy

My Ranking for Season 3 episodes:
1. Consequences

I mentioned For All Mankind in another thread.
I've been watching this series. It is really interesting. One thing about it though is that, for a large part of it, a lot of the characters act quite unlikeable. It's quite strange but - it takes a while - you end caring about them. They get put through a lot.
The moon scenes are great too, some of the best I've seen.
I am up to the fifth episode of season two so far.
I watched it all now. It's really good, and I would really recommend it, although there are some scenes in Season 2 that I found little uncomfortable to watch.
There is a third season coming next year.
I've recently discover Succession, and its been great so far

I've finished watching The After Party last night from Apple TV.
It was actually a fun Show.
I finished watching Ghosts. I have nothing to watch now, I need suggestions?
Recent shows I watched and enjoyed to give you sense of what I want suggesting are...
The Detectorists (brilliant)
Ghosts (charming)
Paul and Bob Gone Fishing (pleasant)
Inside no9 (some good, some not as good)
The Trip (Gone fishing was slightly better for this style)
After Life (Quite morbid but some funny parts)
Derry Girls (funny, what I can understand of it. I need subtitles)
I've decided to start watching Meet the Richardson.
So far I've watched 2 episodes and it's OK, I'm gonna watch some more episodes in bed until I fall asleep.
Think I'll watch some more episodes of Meet the Richardsons. It's quite good, better than I expected.
It's done as a documentary following their day to day lives, which is what I thought it was gonna be, but it's scripted and been quite funny so far.

Meet the Richardsons has just kept getting better. Jon's wife Lucy Beaumont is very funny, she writes it. And I'm not being biased towards her just because she's from Hull, she genuinely is the star of the show for me. She's very Hull and I mean very Hull. Her mam is also in the show and she is funny too.
I recommend this show for anyone who hasn't seen it.

I've been watching an Anime called Monster over the last few days, I've watched about 20 episodes if I'm not mistaken.
Wikipedia lists it's genres as Crime, Mystery & Psychological Thriller, so like with any piece of fiction I'm going in with the mindset of what the series is selling itself as, and that's it'll be an atmospheric ride with a psychological bent to it, and considering what Monster's story is meant to be about I was also expecting a cat & mouse game like you get in Shows like Dexter, Death Note & Psycho-Pass.
Instead these were some of the episodes that I experienced instead.
1. A Pasta eating/Coffee drinking episode.
2. An episode where Tenma trains and eats a meal with a little girl and her adoptive Father.
3. An episode where Tenma puts fuel in a Car for this random old couple that we've never seen before.
4. An episode where Tenma's ex is having an affair with a Gardener.
5. Hospital Drama episodes (yes as in plural) multiple episodes of this ****.
And look I know that Monster is one of the most critically acclaimed Anime's ever made, and I'm willing to bet that if I had patience of a saint that I would probably see the good in the Show too.
I really don't like being an asshole about TV Shows (especially when a lot of people that I know enjoy it) but it's selling itself as one type of Show and then being something totally different in execution which I really can't stand it when Shows do that.
Loving the new series on Sky Atlantic
The King
The King sees Luca Zingaretti in the role of the controversial prison boss Bruno Testori, who rules the San Michele penitentiary with his own special set of laws. Whilst Testori’s life outside the prison may have gone wrong, inside San Michele he dominates as ‘The King’. Ruthless with those who deserve it and unexpectedly compassionate with others, Testori always follows the principles of his own distorted and obscure morals. When the kingdom risks crumbling, threatened by imminent danger, Bruno will have to fight the most difficult of wars.

Oh god I saw an incredible argument to do with the Manga of this overrated mess.
Basically someone on MAL was calling out how overrated Monster is within the AniManga industry, and one of the things they pulled up was no depth in the characters (which is true in the 20 episodes that I watched) and the Monster fans came up with the worst defence that I've ever seen for a programme (trust me that is some achievement) the Monster fans tried to mock this person for liking Inosuke from Demon Slayer because he has "no depth" which tbf is true, but there's a few differences here that these idiots fail to understand.
1. Inosuke isn't the lead of Demon Slayer, or even one of the main three leads of Demon Slayer in terms of plot importance. So to compare his depth of writing to Tenma & Johan is extremely harsh.
2. Inosuke is deliberately designed to be comic relief along with Zenitsu, where as Tenma & Johan are meant to have more depth than one trait, which in Tenma's case isn't coming through at all as his just "a nice guy."
3. Demon Slayer is a Battle Shounen aimed for younger audiences, where as Monster is meant to be an adult story with Psychological Thriller components similar to Death Note, the fact that these idiots (I'm sorry for being rude but it's how I see them) are comparing the depth of writing on their series to a Battle Shounen series just shows that Monster isn't really cutting it in it's own field.
I'm sorry for the rant btw, but some of these Monster fans are really elitist, and I say that as someone that's apart of the Berserk fandom.:joker:

I'm watching the old Devil May Cry Anime made by Madhouse Studios.
I've only seen two episodes so far, but I like it.
Already in two episodes Dante has shown more personality than Thorfinn did in 24 episodes of Vinland Saga.
But yeah it's fun so far, it's like a blend of the DMC Games (like they should be tbf) the Berserk/Claymore style & a tinge of Angel.
I also really enjoy the fact that they're giving Dante interests as some Animes aren't as good at doing that type of thing.

I'm currently watching Bleach at the moment, although I haven't got to the Soul Society arc yet which I know is meant to be a big deal for the Anime.
It's okay at the moment, although Orihime is atrocious.:joker:
Oh and I tried to give Akudama Drive a chance, but it's plot looked like it was gonna be very wafer thin, don't get me wrong characters like Cutthroat & Doctor were fun to watch, but the story needed more depth imo.
And Live Action I'm watching Season 13 of NCIS: Los Angeles, it's never the best written Show out there, but it's fun enough.

I'm currently watching Bleach at the moment, although I haven't got to the Soul Society arc yet which I know is meant to be a big deal for the Anime.

That's fair enough.
I think unfortunately there's a lot of Shows that end up falling into that trap, it's why personally speaking I find it so hard to get into a lot of Shows.

I'm going to IMDB style my scores for each individual episode of DMC, just to express my enjoyment of the Anime.
Episode 1 - 8.1/10
Episode 2 - 8.1/10
Episode 3 - 4.8/10
Episode 4 - 8.6/10
Episode 5 - 8.0/10
Episode 6 - 8.0/10
Episode 7 - 8.4/10
Episode 8 - 7.8/10
Episode 9 - 8.1/10
Episode 10 - 8.5/10
Episode 11 - 8.7/10
Episode 12 - 8.8/10
With the exception of episode 3 I honestly found the Show to be really enjoyable, don't get me wrong there are better Shows out there, but I'm someone that really likes Dark Fantasy so I really enjoyed it personally, plus Dante is a really good lead imo.
Now onto Gurren Lagann, 10 episodes in I'm feeling really unsure about the Anime, especially the last three episodes that I've watched, but I'm gonna give it a few more episodes as I do normally like Mecha Shows, and I know that some people see something in this series, so I want to see if it's a late bloomer for me.
Tbf I do like certain aspects of the Show, but I really don't like other aspects.
Anyway.
Episode 1 - 4.8/10
Episode 2 - 5.3/10
Episode 3 - 7.4/10
Episode 4 - 4.2/10
Episode 5 - 6.6/10
Episode 6 - 6.8/10
Episode 7 - 7.7/10
Episode 8 - 3.2/10
Episode 9 - 2.6/10
Episode 10 - 2.4/10
Tbf it is a 27 episode Season, so maybe it'll get better, or I'm being a harsh bastard.:joker:
Either way I personally feel like the Anime killed off It's best character in episode 8 (without saying who) and I'm really not keen on their replacement so far, but that might change.

Yeah I liked the Dad's performance too.
Last night I started watching From which stars Michael from Lost.
And I've got to say as someone that can be really brutal about TV Shows (Live Action and Animated) this has actually been a decent Show 4 episodes in.
Michael from Lost and the weird guy that's basically the John Locke of the programme are my favourite characters so far, the mystery is actually interesting rather than wafer thin like some of the similar Shows that I've watched on Netflix recently.
And From might have one of the best theme tunes that I've heard in awhile with their cover of Que Sera, Sera.

To be a bit more balanced though, I'd say that the pacing is a bit slow in certain scenes, and I personally don't like the family drama very much, but thankfully it's not shoved down your throat too much so far if you're bothered about them like myself.

After finishing the first Season of From I would definitely recommend it to people that like their Mystery Shows, it's not perfect but it has some decent characters, a decent mystery and if you're looking for a bit of personal Drama for the characters then you have that as well (although personally speaking that wasn't my favourite part) but it is there for people that do like it.
Also I'd say episode 7 has to be one of the most fun and intense episodes that I've seen from a Live Action American Shows in years, because as well made as some Shows have been in recent years, they do sometimes lack that little bit of excitement imo that makes me want to come back and watch more, where as I'll gladly come back for From Season 2 even if the family Drama could sometimes be annoying to me, because ultimately the rest of the Show was actually interesting.
Also on an Anime front I have had a bit of lull after watching Devil May Cry & Kingdom as they were really good Animes imo, in different ways too.
But I finally landed two hits for myself.
I'm not gonna be very good at describing either Show, but here it goes.
Saga Of Tanya The Evil - Tbh I was really unsure about this Anime going into it because it was an Isekai (which can be an up and down genre for me) and I was concerned that it was gonna be a try hard in all of the wrong ways. However I was gladly wrong, it was a really fun series, Tanya in particular actually being a much better character than I ever expected her to be, the supporting characters were fun to watch as well, and yes the plot is clearly unrealistic and bonkers, but it actually suits the tone of the Anime really well.
Again it was nice to see an Anime series that was fun to watch, and coming from an unexpected source.
However just to warn people if you don't like Reincarnation, Isekai, Action, Political, or Shows lead by Loli's (thankfully this one wasn't sexualized thank god) then this Anime won't be for you.
I can't express enough how entertaining this series was for me though, I actually can't contain my excitement for the series, a 7.97/10 on MAL is shameful imo, it needs to be higher.
And then the next Anime that surprisingly won me over was Vivy - Again I was nervous about the weird mix of Sci-Fi, Action & Music as it's three main genres, in particular the Music part was the real jarring part for me to get around at first, but tbf the series is really well made for the most part, Vivy & Matsumoto have a really strong dynamic, it's one of the Shows strongest selling points imo along with an interesting world, Animation, fight scenes & some really strong background Music in the episodes imo.
For me it weren't as exciting as Saga Of Tanya The Evil (but tbf they're totally different Shows so I'm being harsh comparing them) but Wit Studio did an exceptional job on this series imo on a technical level, especially considering it wasn't based on any source material and therefore had to come up with the idea themselves, it was an impressive effort, especially considering Vinland Saga was a huge disappointment from that Studio imo, Vivy has given me some confidence in them again.
But basically think of Vivy as a weird blend of AOT with the Action scenes, Steins:Gate, Ergo Proxy with the AI concept and certain themes that happen in both Shows, and bizarrely IdolMaster.
If you like any of those series that I've mentioned then you have a chance of liking Vivy, if you don't like any of them then you're gonna hate Vivy.
Apologies for the review being so long, but it's so nice to talk about certain Shows in a positive light again, because I was wondering if I was being too harsh at one point.:joker:

I've watched the first 6 episodes of Devilman Crybaby.
It's an okay Anime, it's not the most revolutionary Show in the world, but it's decent.
I've finished watching Devilman Crybaby, and tbh it just didn't end very satisfactory imo.
It has it's moments, but overall the writing is just a load of gibberish if I'm to be brutally honest.
There are definitely entertaining moments in the Show though, and the Music is quite strong in the Show.
I've also watched the pilot of The Midwich Cuckoos, and so far it's got some interesting ideas, and Keeley Hawes & Max Beesley are doing good performances imo, but the pacing in the first half of the episode was tediously slow, I honestly don't get the trend of pacing Shows out like this.
But otherwise the Show has potential imo.
And I'm also watching the 13th Season of NCIS: LA, and tbh the Show has never been the best written Show in the world, but it kinda knew how to be tongue in cheek with it in past seasons.
Where as this Season is tone wise very different to the other Seasons as it's trying to be much more serious than the Show was ever intended to be for most of it's run imo, plus I'm gonna be controversial and just say it, the Show this season has a real bad habit of repeating the same case every week.
It's basically white supremacist goes around being abusive to other races through various methods, now don't get me wrong I never complained when it first happened in the season because well why would I? But 8 episodes into the season and it's either out and out white supremacy episodes, or even in the rare episodes that aren't like that they'll still get either Deeks, Rountree (because this character can't exist without racism) or Fatima doing some blatant messaging about how racism is bad, it's almost like they think that racists will change their ways just because NCIS: LA tells them to.:joker:
Now don't get me wrong some of the messaging morally speaking is actually good, and I honestly don't mind the odd episode on the topic in a season, but I swear to god this Show is obsessed with race, like really obsessed, to the point sometimes where they're ironically kinda racist in the way that they write Rountree but I'm sure some people will probably think that I'm really harsh in saying that.
And tbf I actually don't mind Kilbride & Fatima out of the newbies, some of their scenes can feel a bit forced sometimes (and I personally prefer the characters that they replaced) but I can easily accept them as replacements, so just to be balanced it's not all bad.
But seriously they need to cool it down a little bit on the white supremacy episodes, there's actually nothing wrong in making them, but they shouldn't be making up half of the season so far.

God I'm 3 episodes into The Midwich Cuckoos and I'm really starting to struggle at this point.
The plot just ultimately seems too basic for a TV Series, because the Show is having to do a ridiculous amount of padding just to fill out the episodes that I've watched.
I think that it could be a good Film if done well, but as a TV Show there's just not a lot there to keep me interested.
And again I am annoyed that an otherworldly programme has to duel against boring Drama segments rather than just be allowed to be a creepy Thriller Mystery series.
Keeley Hawes & Max Beesley are doing good acting performances though.

Yeah I dropped Midwich, it was too dull imo.
I've started watching FBI International and the first two episodes were okay, it's my first time watching a Show from the FBI franchise so my knowledge of the story in the pilot wasn't very good.:joker:
Overall the lead looks like he is gonna be decent, and the Dog is cool.
I've also started BBUSA 24 which as I've said on it's discussion thread was the worst launch show that I've ever seen to any Big Brother, it just wasn't very gripping imo.
And I've watched the 9th episode of NCIS: LA, and again there's some okay moments in the episode, and it was nice to see that the Show wasn't race baiting for a change, so that's a plus, but as usual because the Show wasn't race baiting it meant that Rountree couldn't be in the episode, typical for that character because the Show is very racist imo and just sees him as the black guy, which is ironic given how much the Show preaches about racism being bad.
Instead though this episode decided to be political in a more lazy way imo, going for Incels and Social Media.
Social Media has basically become the new Video Games for older generations (which TV Writers are normally in that demographic) where they take a genuine negative trait of an industry (in this case Social Media) and just sledgehammer that it's bad without showcasing any of the positive sides of Social Media, and TV Shows only hate Social Media (like they hate Video Games) is because Social Media basically gets more people using it instead of watching TV, it dares to be more popular basically, but they like to pretend that it's some moral reason why they have taken an issue with it.
And with the Incel topic, for me it's so trendy to bash men nowadays that it's kinda tiring tbh.
Don't get me wrong Incels are horrendously bad, I personally find their views really disturbed (just to make it clear) but most people with any kinda common sense already knows that Incels are bad, and their attitude towards women isn't healthy.
However along with the fact that the Media is teaching younger women to hate and fear men (which isn't a healthy mindset) the story of Incels being bad isn't even daring in the slightest, political stories work best imo when they are made only on special occasions rather than every week, and the topic at hand is divisive for it's time, and the Show is boldly going where no Show has gone before.
If anyone reading this thinks that being an Incel is okay I'd honestly recommend that you go and see a Therapist, and I'm being serious.
And I honestly think that 95% of people probably already think the same as me on this topic, so why the **** make an episode on it? It's just a pointless episode at that point.
Imo people should like at DS9 with Far Beyond The Stars.
The episode was the only one of it's kind in all 7 Seasons of the Show (which makes it have far more impact immediately) and it was more bold to cover racism towards black people being a problem at the time, because in the 90's Avery Brooks (the Actor who played Sisko) had quite a few detractors at the time just for being black, and then daring to be a black Actor to lead a Star Trek Show, so at the time the Show was being brave by confronting some of their own viewers with that particular episode, especially with the 50's setting making you realise that those days had some severe issues with racism.
NCIS: LA in 2022 tackling similar political issues that 50 million other Shows also tackle just isn't very exciting imo.
I wish that LA would just tell a story that's not aggressively Political tbh, and just be a bit of fun, but if it's gonna be Political then pick something that's not being covered so much in life already.

I watched the first episode back of CSI: Vegas, and like a lot of modern American TV it just treads water throughout.
The case wasn't very eccentric, and while the episode wasn't badly made on a technical level, it just was missing a key ingredient for me that I look for even in TV Shows that I don't like, and that's trying to be fun and entertaining to watch.
Like say what you want about Relic Hunter, but TV is really missing a Show like that at the moment where it's just fun to watch.

It's also less Ecchi than I was expecting when you look at the promotional work going into the Show.
First 10 episodes of Witchblade has so far been more or less going at that same okay level.
There's some decent characters in the Anime, but the plot could do with more focus imo as it does like to dilly dally around with Slice Of Life components too much imo.
But overall a harmless Show I feel.
I've watched the third episode of CSI: Vegas on Alibi, and my god it is honestly really ****, and I'm not saying it because they're casting more diverse (because I know that has been an issue for some CSI fans online) because whilst yes it's clearly forced diversity, I can honestly still get around that if the Show was remotely decent in quality.
But to me the main issue that I'm having with the Show is the rushed Folsom & Rajan romance, it just hits you like a truck from the pilot and hasn't really let go in the two subsequent episodes.
Their characters are deeply irritating to watch.
Roby is okay, but just a bit beige imo, there's nothing about the character that makes me hooked watching her like you are supposed to feel about characters when you're watching a TV Show.
Ramirez is okay as the new Morgue guy, he actually feels like he could belong in the original Show imo.
The Show is overly reliant on Grissom & Sara to do all of the main work of the Show imo, and it's a bad sign considering they're only there to boost ratings, these new characters need to be interesting in their own right if this Show is to last for a long time.
Plus the Show needs to be more eccentric like the original Show was, it's too beige imo, but ain't that modern American TV for you.
NCIS: LA I refuse to even comment on how **** Season 13 is anymore, it just keeps hitting new levels of **** every week.
Between Rountree & Deeks I honestly don't know who I would want to avoid irl if they existed, they're both by far the most annoying characters this season.
And FBI: International I have been watching more for my Mom's benefit tbh, but like typical American TV at the moment it's quite beige/****.:joker:
Tbf to FBI: International I do like Forrester, the Dog & Jaeger, but the other three characters kinda suck.:joker:
Especially Kellett as she gets so much screentime, and her only real dynamic is with Forrester, she doesn't interact with the other characters at all, and I wish that I was kidding.
Overall I think that my taste in TV just doesn't align with American's taste in TV as they keep commissioning this bizarre beige content on their platforms.
Without meaning to sound like a Boomer, but this was the same country that made:
Battlestar Galactica
DS9
GOT
24
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
Star Trek: Enterprise
Gilmore Girls
Relic Hunter
The original CSI Vegas
CSI Miami
CSI NY
Dexter
The original Law & Order
SVU
Criminal Minds
Cold Case
Buffy & Angel
I know that a lot of these Shows won't appeal to everyone (personally I found Buffy to be an annoying Show) but they all had character to them, and they all had iconic moments in them that will go down in history for their fans.
Basically people will always remember that these Shows existed, and they left a mark on people, what kinda mark is FBI: International gonna leave on anyone? Or weird **** like Midnight Mass? It's horrible grey programming that I wish the Americans would honestly stop making.
It's almost like they deliberately go out of their way to not want to entertain their audience anymore.
With the exception of From & The After Party.
I'm sorry for the rant, it's just the last few years have been ****, TV is meant to be escapism from all of the ****, but instead they make you feel even lower with their lack of fun.
