I wouldn't know how to feel about that. I mean I loved those two characters, but I think he was justly punished for his crimes. :laugh:

I think that was one of the greatest, most shocking scenes in a drama ever. When Gus walked out of the care home room when Salamanca set off the pipe bomb, I thought Gus had got away with it. What a shocker. I see one of the techs from Walking Dead was in the credits, I wonder if he had something to do with that scene.
We've been to Disneyland Paris and watching Breaking Bad once the kids were asleep has been the only thing that has saved my sanity LOL...

Yeah, I find the whole thing so gripping, it really would be half as good without her. I tried reading the books before and I couldn't get into them because I couldn't imagine it as Elizabeth Moss. :joker:

It's based on two games and a third shirt game that are all many hours long and very detailed so there's almost no filler, it's deep and cinematic and scary. You might not like the progressive themes though.

…I have NOW TV for limited time to watch Last of Us so I’m going to see what I can binge on there while I have it…there are a few Walking Dead spin-offs…the Daryl one and the Maggie and Negan one, not sure if they’re worth a look…?…I did start to watch the new White Lotus yesterday after BB but couldn’t quite get into it…I was just very tired though so I will try again…there are a few series on there that I’m liking the look of…Penguin is another that I think I’ll try…
EDIT:…Day of the Jackal and Gangs of London might also be good watches…

The Daryl one is really good, I didn't like the Negan and Maggie one, I stopped watching it

my tastes are quite unique compared to others on this forum, but tbf everyone has different tastes of what series they like
a show like Tracker is very refreshing compared to the concepts of CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, FBI, if i have to compare to something, maybe MacGyver but then also still with an authentic touch to it
a show like Doctor Odyssey is also quite refreshing compared to the more heavy medical drama's out there like Grey's Anatomy, Chicago Med or The Pitt, you can more see this as a Modern day Love Boat meets Trauma i guess (i also very much was a fan of Trauma tbh), also all the different themes on the cruise make every episode stand out each in their own different way, they even had a bit of a ''Covid'' episode few weeks ago

Finished Breaking Bad. One of the best series I've ever watched. 10/10. Going to watch El Camino over the weekend then start Better Call Saul.

…even though I know he’s Colin Farrell, I still can’t see that he’s Colin Farrell…:laugh:..I study him so much on the close ups to see if I can see Colin in there …but nope, he’s nowhere to be seen…it really is incredible acting and the make up/special effects, obviously…I didn’t realise or figure how much I’d like Penguin as a character also…I’ve just finished watching episode 4, I think it was…which was all about Sofia and I love her character also…it’s just a thoroughly excellent series, I’m trying to savour it and not rush it too much with the binge…

Undercover which is btw a really good series too, a dutch/belgian take on Breaking Bad if we have to compare shows
and its based on true events, Ferry Bouman really has been such a big drugs kingpin over here
you can stream it on Netflix, easy to follow with english subtitles for you guys i guess

…have you watched any of the Black Mirror series…?…they’re all stand alone stories for each episode and I think might be something you’d like…the other recommendations that I would give are Stranger Things, if you haven’t seen it…From, Severance, Last of Us…(…season 2 is airing atm…)…1899 was an excellent series, I thought…Dark series….I’ve also just finished watching The Penguin, which isn’t Sci Fi obviously but it’s honestly one of the best watches of anything that I seen…

…the Shining Girls has a time travel element so it’s kind of Sci Fi/…I think that it’s billed as a Sci Fi Thriller…it’s also a miniseries of just one season so not too daunting a commitment…I’m a huge miniseries fan myself tbh…

S4 was weird,
I do like that they're back where it all started, i do hope that they'll finish it there too and this will be the final season, Joe doesn't deserve to still be waltzing around the place. At least Dexter was controlled (mostly) and only killed killers(mostly)
…just started to watch Fake on ITV, I think its going to be a good watch…it has a great feel and vibe after just one episode which is a good omen…
…Fake was an excellent true story watch, a definite recommendation….
…I’ve just begun to watch Years on Years/mini series…it’s a dystopian sci fi based largely around one family….it has a very good feel of being a riveting watch and scarily feeling like a future that’s possible…

I decided to watch Stranger Things, I know my nieces were obsessed with it when it was on TV and as my OH is away and I have complete control of the remote, I thought I'd give it a go. I am really enjoying it but, Jesus... they let kids what this stuff? Some of it is shocking...
But yeah, enjoying it, 8.5/10

Christ on a cracker... I see what you mean! I don't scare easily and I've never been frightened of a TV show or film, but I would think twice about showing it to young teenagers, as my nieces were when they watched it.
By the way, that bit in Breaking Bad where Skinny Pete plays the piano... amazing. Had to look him up. He was a great character.

Surely Joe HAS to die at the end of You, or spend his life in prison. I reckon it should have ended with Wednesday Adams returning and bumping him off/getting him caught for killing her sister... but I doubt they can afford her these days.

I think it remains watchable telly but S1 as a standalone narrative, yes, was by far the best season; potentially could have then had a very different S2 with the fallout/consequences (inevitably being caught) would have been good. It was unrealistic from the first murders onwards that he carried on "evading" ... and really mostly because the first season was more successful than they expected I think.
…(…I think …)…that I watched the first 3 seasons of You…I watched up until he went to Paris, anyway…I felt as if for me, it had run its course then…

…I began to watch The Mentalist yesterday evening, it’s not something that’s going to be too intense so I can just slot it in with other series as I watch them…I’m liking it so far but I didn’t expect anything other than that…Patrick Jane is such a cool character…

…yeah, I do that as well…try different series but only watch an episode or two and then lose interest…it’s kind of an instant grab thing…live at first sight…:laugh:…atm I’ve gone back in time to watch The Mentalist as it was hugely recommended of it’s time and so far it’s a ‘nice comfortable watch’…

…I’ll see how it goes but I don’t mind the longer seasons if I can binge them…it’s the watching in real time that I’m less on board with…with a series like the Mentalist, as well…although it’s a murder themed series, it still has a lighter feel so I’ll just have it as a side series and still watch other things…

…I just realised yesterday that there was a second season of Nine Perfect Strangers…it kept coming up on my streaming site as being a ‘most popular’ type thing but I stupidly thought it was referring to the first season …I won’t start to watch it yet because the first season ran as a miniseries with all episodes released from the off…whereas this one is a gradual release and I really don’t like watching things in that vein because it just feels too messy ….anyway, I’m not sure that it has great reviews for the 2nd season either…
i can't abide the network tv method of drip feeding episodes every week. I binge. So if a streaming service drip feeds, i just wait until all the episodes have dropped. The only exception to this were Slow horses and Severance :laugh:

…(…I think…)…for series where the episodes are actively discussed on here each week…?…it becomes difficult in terms of spoilers so I tend to watch weekly…but it’s also that some series are just much more riveting and I just can’t wait…:laugh:..like Severance for instance and The Last of Us…I’m just so anticipated for the next episode each week…but yeah, Nine Perfect Lives season 2 is a bit disappointing in how it’s being released because looking back on the first season…?..it didn’t have that same vein of enough storyline/drama/riveting stuff etc for me to have sustained weekly interest…it’s just not that kind of a storyline plot…
…I am struggling atm to find something that’s a bit more exceptional tbh…Penguin was exceptional as was Jackal…so I’m on a bit of a down period after those two…

MobLand is simply amazing but it’s such a drag to have to wait until Sunday evening for each new episode

…I finished watching Last Anniversary…it’s a wonderful cast and wonderful characters…:love:…also quite gripping as a family mystery running through it…it’s funny and touching and a bit of everything and again, just great/strong female characters, which you would expect from a Nicole Kidman produced series…I loved it a lot and would absolutely recommend…:love:…it’s also a very quick binge watch…

We watched the last of Code of Silence ITVX last night, not seen Rose Ayling Ellis acting before, she is pretty good and the guy who played the co star was excellent, Joe Absolom is an excellent villian an all round good actor who has managed not to be typecast from his stint in Doc Martin

Finished Season 1 of the Are Murders, a Swedish noir subtitled thing, its a nice easy watch
I watched the first episode last night, I watched the subtitled version though, some of it is still in English
It hasn't gripped me yet but we'll see how it goes

Watched "Bet" on Netflix (bizarre ...erm ... gambling school(??) drama based on an anime) with my wife and eldest -- silly, camp and somewhat nonsensical but we really enjoyed it :joker:.
Sort of like "Sex Education" -- if the school was like a rich people's casino, all of the students were gambling addicts with billionaire sociopath parents, and they all kept trying to kill each other.

I'm on the second Season of a KDrama called Taxi Driver.
Think of the Show as John Wick meets Crime Procedural, and a good dosage of Comedy blended into each other.
6 Episodes into the second Season, I would say it's been an okay Season, but it's not in the same league as what the First Season was doing after it's first 6 episodes imo.
I'll spoiler tag a couple of issues that I'm having so far with the Season.
The Season misses Ha-Na, I know that she was controversial within the fandom, but I personally really liked the character a lot, as she brought a different type of POV to the programme that enhanced the quality of the Show in a myriad of different ways, that just isn't there this season.
Her role in the Show was a bit reminiscent of David Palmer's role in the early Seasons of 24, I personally really appreciate the alternative viewpoint to the Action Hero on these Shows.
And yes she was really easy on the eyes too.:laugh:
And The Show also misses Baek Sung-Mi's role in the Second Season, she had a lot of entertaining scenes in Season 1, that just aren't necessarily there in Season 2 imo.
And again, she did have a certain sex appeal in a more mature and psychotic kind of way.:joker:
Plus the main villain of this Season has potential, but is barely being used at the moment, but tbf I think that the character will end up being a good character by the end of the Season.
And the characters are still likable, and the humour is still on point.
Another flaw in the Season that I forgot to mention, were the side cases in Season 2 are lacking a little something compared to the First Season's in my view.
Ranting about my problems with the Season aside, I do still think that the Season has it's moments, and I overall still think that there's much worse out there for people to watch.

i've been re-watching Better Call Saul, it's just so good. I think on balance I actually like it more than Breaking Bad because it goes into so much more detail on some of the universes best characters

I’m rewatching “Love” on Netflix. It’s Judd Apatow’s show (40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad etc) so it’s that kind of vibe, has three seasons. Not for the faint hearted (filth) but very quirky and sweet really.

Season 2 of Taxi Driver definitely has a strong second half of the Season, especially the Black Sun arc, which was based on a real case in South Korea.:umm2:
I still prefer Season 1, but I definitely feel more positive about Season 2 after finishing it.

Just finished Squid Game and really liked it and how it ended though apparently it was panned...anyhow my son suggested I watch the Devils Plan which is a reality game show set in Korea with Sub Titles I guess its a Celeb version as there is a member of K Pop in it, its quite good

Untamed. Watched the whole thing last night, I love it when I have complete control of the remote.... I really liked this, great story, really good characters, it built slowly to quite an unpredictable end, I thought. 9/10

I enjoyed it but it did drag a bit at times
…also just finished watching Untamed and found it a good watch…it was very True Detectives in vibe, I felt …I’m not sure which direction they’ll go for season 2…whether Naya’s character will now be the main officer but it was great to see Eric Bana again, I hadn’t seen him in anything for a long time…with Paul/Sam Neill’s character…?… …from the beginning I felt that he had a huge involvement in the story in a not good way…he was the obvious ‘twist’ …
…I’ve caught up again with Smoke series…it’s very, very layered and dark and atm any twists could lead to any characters…a great cast with Jurnee Smollett, Greg Kinnear and Taron Egerton….:love:…I don’t think all episodes have been released yet though, so I’m going to catch up with myself soon, which is annoying…

Such a shame about her dementia in recent years. But on a more positive note, this is about as non-obnoxious and non-annoying as a guy like Pierce Morgan can get, even though he’s far from perfect here as-well.

Revival it's a good Sci fi show about on one particular day anyone who died recently in this one town comes back to life and can't re-die
…I meant to say also that Smoke is loosely based on a true story of John Leonard Orr…he was a convicted serial arsonist/mass murderer who had been a former fighter….I’m just about to read up on him a bit now ….

…I’ve caught up with Smoke until the next episode is released so as a filler I’m watching Under the Bridge, which is also very good…Lily Gladstone and Riley Keough lead an especially great female cast…
….I finished watching Under the Bridge, I hadn’t realised that it was based on a true story…it was harrowing and distressing and violent, very intense…not a storyline that could be said was ‘good’ or entertaining…but it was riveting/utterly compelling…
…while I’m waiting for the last episode of Smoke to be released I started to watch Chief of War…I'm not generally a Jason Mamoa fan but I’m enjoying the story…I find with subtitled though that I can’t watch into late evening because it takes so much more attention and alertness to absorb than just listening to the dialogue while watching the screen…
…I started to watch Peacemaker yesterday…I’m not sure about it yet, it’s very tongue in cheek a funny…(..and also violent…)…but I just haven’t engaged so far…

…just watched the last episode of Smoke…I don’t like to watch series in real time but every episode was worth the wait… Taron Egerton and Jurnee Smollett are both terrifically cast in their characters and the plot is riveting/terrifying/gripping and a very recommended watch…

…actually I’m going to take this back…I don’t like how each season isn’t a complete story/watch and the first two seasons just blended into each other…and now leaves you hanging there for season 3….pfffft….I appreciate there are multiple storylines going in but their suspense and thrill has just slowed down too much and feels a bit dragging out…
…I watched A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, that was quite a reasonable watch, actually…

After finishing Untamed, which I enjoyed.
I tried to give a shot two different Reality Shows and strongly disliking both of them.
The Challenge: Double Agents - The contestants were unlikable imo, and there were a fair few moments in the episodes that I watched that felt incredibly scripted to me.
Plus the strategy felt dead because the newbie players were getting isolated from the game because they hadn't played for the 25th time.
Some of the tasks were well made though.
And The Traitors US Season 3 - Again unlikable contestants and a really poor Presenter imo.
He was trying to tell jokes (I think) but it just fell flat in my view.
But seriously the American Reality circuit needs to look at why their contestants are coming across so unlikable.
Imo that's 3 out of the last 4 American Reality Shows (big franchises too) that have had severe likability issues, where it just doesn't exist often.
Thank God for Survivor Season 47.

Been watching Derry Girls for the past 2 days, what an absolutely amazing show, I can't believe it's taken me this long to start it.
