Something confusing happens, she passes out, she wakes up in the bath and the audience doesn't get clued in on anything.

The Red Queen is nothing like Daryl :nono:. You need to sort out these attitudes if you want into the TiBB 100 club Nicky :hmph:.

TBF I can see one core similarity I suppose; both Daryl and Octavia are characters who were "out of place" in the "world they lived in before" (Daryl an outcast / pariah, Octavia having to pretend she didn't exist at all) and both thrive in the world they're thrown into (Daryl taking to the post apocalypse like a duck to water, and similar for Octavia and life on the ground).

But still, Nicky... Skairipa >>>>>>> Daryl.

I find Clarke a bit mopey. Octavia, Bellamy, Kane, Raven all >> Clarke.

Though I'm mainly just thankful that Jasper is finally ****ing dead, I rewatched it all recently and had forgotten that he became insufferable at the end of season TWO... and yet was still whinging by the end of season FOUR! :umm2: Literally two straight seasons of sarcasm and self-pity.

Speaking of the 100 / Walking Dead though, anyone else notice that arr Luna has turned up in the trailer for next season? Looks like she's playing Magna, who is a fairly big comics character. What is it with Nightbloods and the TWD franchise?

Clarke to show up next?

OK I've just seen this and

1) Where's Raven?
2) Finn top???
3) WHERE IS RAVEN :suspect: have you even watched the show.

[edit] Unless you're not classing Raven as one of the 100 teens since she wasn't on the initial dropship? This is the only explanation. However there is no explanation for floppy-hair Finn being top or really anything other than last. :joker:

Yes I watch the show tyvm :hmph: and you're correct, I only ranked the teens on the dropship. I'm about to finish Season 1, only two episodes left so my overall opinions will change

Finn's my favourite because he's kind, selfless, loyal, compassionate, outgoing and brave. Several traits I like and admire about someone. it's easy to think of him as some reckless, impulsive bad-boy delinquent, but he's the complete antithesis.

As for Raven, she hasn't done anything to impress me yet. All she's done is latch onto Finn, be jealous of him and Clarke and sleep with Bellamy. So unless she does something amazing in S2, :idc: about her.

Why do you dislike Finn so much? You can't honestly think Murphy's better than him. Now that's funny :joker::joker::joker:

I'm properly gonna start watching Sonic Boom season 2 now as I haven't got as many things to do now so I can start watching it, it's definitely one of my guilty pleasure shows as it makes me laugh so much, and I love the large list of side characters, it's actually not that different from shows like Parks & Rec and Brooklyn Nine-Nine in that regard.

I've been watching season 1 of The Rain last night which has been strong so far after 3 episodes. I like the fact that it's a post-apocalyptic show that actually focuses on it's main storyline (to some extent anyway) apart from BSG and to a lesser extent Falling Skies, we tend to get shows like TWD and Revolution that meander instead of just focusing on their main story, or they're like Aftermath which after 4 episodes I still didn't know what it's main aim was suppose to be in the slightest. But yeah overall I'm quite enjoying The Rain so far and I hope that it doesn't let me down.

I've also been watching the first 2 episodes of Lost In Space which has been okay so far, but then I do quite like my Sci-Fi so I could just be being biased towards the show as it does have pacing issues imo, if you're not into slow paced programming then this show is not for you. But it does have a few interesting things about it so I'm holding out hope that it gets better.

And an epic like no other is coming back for a new season soon, it makes GOT look like child's play in comparison, it's Spongebob Squarepants.:joker:

I also need to catch up on season 4 and 5 of Bates Motel.

Mystic Mock
01-09-2019, 06:31 PM
Wynonna Earp - it has it's flaws, but overall is quite enjoyable imo, it's like Supernatural before it went on forever, the good parts of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and some western genre flung into a fun mix. The love triangle is appalling though which I'm hoping will be fixed in season 3.

We also just binged "Living With Yourself", Paul Rudd's Netflix thing where he ends up living with an "improved" clone of himself. Really enjoyed it, you honestly forget that there aren't genuinely two of him there which is IMO very impressive from both an acting and directing standpoint... usually when they do the camera-trickery "two of the same actor" thing the conversations come off a bit disjointed, but this flows so well when they're "both" on screen .

At the moment I'm watching.

The Expanse Season 4
Johnny Test Season 6
Shameless US Pilot
The Masked Singer UK
The Chase

And I tried out Ray Donovan for two episodes before giving up, the Wife did my head in, just not my type of character.

I checked the pilot out of Power and again the Wife character broke me with that Show, especially when I found out that she's still alive in the final season.:umm2: broke me.

And the pilot of Outlander which I could appreciate was well made, but it just weren't my kinda thing.

I started on the 3rd generation (just because it doenst require uou to watch them in order and its the generation I remember the least about but I actually love this generation)

Slasher was hit and miss, season 2 is not worth it but series 3 is the best and has the most unlikeliest choice for killer

I'm on a bit of a retro binge at the moment which includes Angel and Beyblade.:joker:

They both actually hold up quite well against today's Shows in their respective styles, the only thing that Angel needed to fix for my taste was the incredibly slow start on the main plot of the programme. And Beyblade would be the dialogue can sometimes be a bit dated compared to modern kids shows, but it is overall a well made Show if you don't expect it to be something it's not.

I doubt he will ever get justice at this stage tbh

...oh I was a bit worried that it would be very slanted toward Ian Bailey when I just read that he was taking part in it...but this is quite encouraging that it has been given the blessing of Sophie’s family....so long as it follows the path closely that has obviously been promised in the making...

The series will chart the du Plantier’s family’s search for justice spanning almost a quarter of a century.

It is being produced by London and Los Angeles-based media company Lighthouse and is to be directed by John Dower, whose previous documentary works include the award-winning Thrilla in Manilla, about the legendary boxing rivalry between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali.

“This series will take viewers on a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns as we carefully unravel an extraordinary story from its beginning, 24 years ago, to the present day,” said Simon Chinn, co-founder of Lightbox and executive producer of the documentary.

“As the only documentary project ever to have been made with the blessing of Sophie’s family, we feel it’s critical to properly understand who Sophie was as a person and the events that led her to her terrible fate.

“The series will include interviews with the key players in Ireland and France, including the man convicted in France of Sophie’s murder, Ian Bailey, and we will drill down into the evidence surrounding a murder investigation which remains mired in anguish and controversy.”

Niamh.

I honestly think him being found guilty in France was a bit of a joke (as much as he comes across as unlikeable) the French found no new evidence against him and there really wasn't enough to charge him. Also, the key witness who put him near the scene at the right time withdrew her statement

...it mentions two series being made and one might be a dramatised version if they’re seeking to cast an actress as Sophie...the other has been 5 years in the making, so a huge amount of research that is probably not in any of the articles we’ve read...and 4, one hour programmes...the filming will start next week in Cork....I wonder when things like this are made...for instance, will Ian Bailey receive any financial payment for taking part, is what I’m wondering...

https://evoke.ie/2020/01/27/showbiz/west-cork-murder-sophie-toscan-du-plantier

...it mentions two series being made and one might be a dramatised version if they’re seeking to cast an actress as Sophie...the other has been 5 years in the making, so a huge amount of research that is probably not in any of the articles we’ve read...and 4, one hour programmes...the filming will start next week in Cork....I wonder when things like this are made...for instance, will Ian Bailey receive any financial payment for taking part, is what I’m wondering...

Oh I hope he doesn't, whether he did it or not, he isn't very nice guy . Not sure how tasteful a dramatization would be considering they would have to invent the bulk of the attack and the aftermath really

Also, I did a massive binge of Little Fire's Everywhere. Really good show, fantastic acting as well from Kerry and Reece.

..OH my Lord, the first episode...I’m hooked from that opening scene a5 the pool../...barbecue...

...I had to look up about the human chess to see if that actually happened...it didn’t but obviously the stuff that did happen was unspeakable in its cruelty and it’s evil...I find gory and torture very difficult so I am struggling in a few places ...but the storyline is so gripping and obviously based on horrific truths...so I will continue with it, seeing how it develops etc...that bit when he was throwing darts into Jonah and I didn’t see how he could survive..I could barely take breath...

We're catching up on The Crown, not on the most recent season yet, I think the last episode was the one where they send Charles off with the military because they don't want him to shack up with Camilla.

Honestly, these last few episodes (The One Where Charles Learns Welsh, The One Where The Abdicated King Dies, and The One Where They All Thing Camilla Is Damaged Goods) have managed to make me feel quite bad for ol' Charlie, which is quite a feat :joker:. No wonder he likes his gin.

Should also be noted that I am absolutely treating The Crown as a 100% accurate documentary and no one can persuade me otherwise.

Absolutely. Every 2 seasons they clear out the actors and bring in a new lot

Ive really enjoyed the crown. As TS says, it really does challenge preconceptions on occasion, in other times you hear yourself saying ... i knew it.

It's really unflattering to many of the key figures, and the 4th series pretty much crucifies the entire royal family

.....hmmmmm, so I’m not sure, really...maybe I’m overthinking it...it was a complete twist, I didn’t see it coming at all ...but obviously that means that Meyer is gone now and I really liked his character......the whole ending left me a little...oh...because so much could have been based on truths in that it was possible...and obviously Nazi Hunters have existed as well...but the ending with Hitler and Eva...I don’t know, that just felt a bit silly and didn’t really inspire me for the next series...(...although, obviously I’ll watch it, that goes without saying......I don’t know, I’ve overthought a lot of the ending, I think...but that’s because of the vein of the series in that it did evoke thought, plus I was totally invested...I didn’t like that, the young Nazi got to live, either...he’s obviously going to be in the next series but that takes away any sense of karma and he’s so sadistic and evil...

I love a good twist and I never saw that one coming either  But yeah it kind of takes a shine off Season 2, I hadn't even thought about whether there was going to be one tbh because of how it ended I think they should have left it at 1 season

...yeah I don’t really want a season 2 tbh, I can’t imagine any storyline matching this series...and especially with the twist...and Meyer’s grandson killing him was a perfect justice, I think....I would have just liked to have seen the sadist young Nazi killed, rather than be in prison ...that felt a little unsatisfying for me...

The culture secretary has said the creators behind TV series The Crown, based on the lives of the Royal Family, need to make clear the show is fiction.

"I fear a generation of viewers who did not live through these events may mistake fiction for fact," Oliver Dowden told the Mail on Sunday.

He said Netflix's "beautifully produced work of fiction... should be very clear at the beginning it is just that".

I know, it was so disappointing. Apparently it's not even cancelled because it was unpopular but because they had planned on filming in a foreign location or something and because of Covid decided to just cancel it, don't know why they couldn't just postpone it

He didn't press the button, the guy in the car had a remote detonator and he set the bomb off.

Yeah was thinking that too about Eva, there wasn't much need for the pregnancy story unless she'd eventually become pregnant I think

I was not believing he was until the plane crash, no way they would all survive that and the "Messiah" himself didn't even have a cut on him..........that would be some parlor trick

It annoyed me that he didn't save the little girl from Cancer. The only explanation I can think of for not saving her but saving the plane crash people and the little boy who was shot was that the ones he saved he was responsible for dying in a way? Where as the little girl was going to die regardless so maybe "God's plan" or something?

...the world’s eyes were on him and following him on social media...had he cured the young girl then there is no way that he could have moved or had any type of freedom from either his growing followers or the security agencies...but he’s now ‘officially dead’ or officially missing so that allowed more direction for the storyline to continue...because there was obviously a lot more to develop with the plot had it not ended...but yeah, obviously so sad to see her die...
